On 4/24/2020 at 5:47 pm, patrol responded to the 300 blk of South Madison Ave for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed his unlocked vehicle and removed a wallet and loose change. Ptlm. Brian O'Neill investigated.

On 4/24/2020 at 4:32 pm, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Whittier Ave for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that sometime during the previous night an unknown person had entered his unlocked vehicle and removed a cup of loose change and the victim's wallet. The wallet with some of the contents remaining was later discovered nearby. Ptlm. Brian O'Neill investigated.

On 4/22/2020 at 11:45 am, patrol responded to the 200 blk of Second St. for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that surveillance footage captured two suspects entering the victim's unlocked vehicle and removing approximately $30 in U.S. Currency. Det. Joe Dudley investigated.

On 4/22/2020 at 11:42 am, patrol responded to the 200 blk of Second St. for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed their vehicle but that nothing was reported to be missing. Surveillance video captured two suspects entering the car and then continuing West on Second St. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 4/22/2020 at 6:51 am, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Third St. for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed their unlocked vehicle and removed a wallet containing a license and several credit cards. The wallet with contents was later discovered by a resident discarded on Third St and the items were returned to their owner. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 4/21/2020 at 4:17 pm, patrol responded to the 400 blk of North Ave for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that someone had removed a laptop and cell phone from his vehicle approximately one month earlier. Sgt. John Doherty investigated.

On 4/21/2020 at 3:09 pm, patrol was flagged down to a residence on the 100 blk of North Ave for a dispute. While attempting to mediate the situation, the suspect, later identified as Brandon Brown, 28, of Plainfield, used his vehicle to strike a Dunellen officer and then used his vehicle to ram into a Dunellen patrol vehicle. A motor vehicle pursuit was initiated by Mr. Brown and lasted for several blocks before it was terminated for the safety of the public. Mr. Brown was charged with Eluding and Aggravated Assault. An arrest warrant has been issued. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 4/18/2020 at 8:00 pm, patrol responded to the 500 blk of Dunellen Ave for the report of Harassment and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. The victim reported that an unknown male was captured on surveillance footage and appeared to be brandishing a knife. This case remains open. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky and Sgt. Brian Robbins investigated.

On 4/16/2020 at 1:03 pm, patrol responded to the 800 blk of Dunellen Ave for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that during the past several days an unknown person had accessed her unlocked vehicle and removed $30 in U.S. Currency and the registration document. Det. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 4/15/2020 at 10:42 am, patrol responded to the 300 blk of High St. for the report of Criminal Mischief. The victim reported that sometime during the past several weeks, an unknown person had applied spray paint to the rear registration plate of his vehicle. Det. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 4/14/2020, Tymirah Quarles, 20, of Plainfield was charged with Criminal Mischief following investigation into an incident at Diane's O'Matic Wash on 4/5/2020. Ms. Quarles was mailed a court appearance notice. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 4/9/2020 at 9:51 pm, patrol responded to Quick Chek on North Ave for the report of shoplifting. The staff reported that a black male wearing a black jacket and red sweatpants had removed approximately $8 worth of items from the store without paying and fled on foot towards Middlesex. Sgt. Brian Robbins investigated.

On 4/6/2020 at 1:48 pm, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Orange St. for the report of a Heroin Overdose. Upon arrival, they located the victim, a 34 year old female. Patrol administered Narcan Naloxone and care was transferred to the Dunellen Rescue Squad. She was later transported to the hospital for further evaluation. Ptlm. Brian O'Neill investigated.

On 4/5/2020 at 10:41 pm, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Orange St. for the report of a Heroin Overdose. Officers from Dunellen and Green Brook responded, locating the victim, a 34 year old female, and administering several doses of Narcan Naloxone and several rounds of CPR. The victim was revived and later refused further medical treatment. Sgt. Brian Robbins investigated.

On 4/5/2020 at 9:32 am, patrol responded to Diane's O'Matic Wash for the report of Criminal Mischief. The employees reported that a female had caused damage to a storage shed. This case remains open. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 4/3/2020 at 7:50 pm, patrol responded to Family Dollar on North Ave for the report of Shoplifting. The employees reported that a female entered the store and attempted to steal approximately $50 in items. A struggle with employees ensued and the items spilled out of the bags as the female fled. This case remains open. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.
