August


On 8/30/2018, Sean McLarnon, 27, of South Carolina was charged with Burglary and Theft following investigation into an incident on 5/5/2018 where several portable radios were stolen from the Dunellen Rescue Squad. Mr. McLarnon was issued a court appearance notice. Det. Brian O'Neill investigated.

On 8/30/2018 at 11:49 am, Nestor Crespo Jr., 47, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court after being observed by patrol on Bound Brook Rd. and known to have active warrants. Mr. Crespo Jr. was found to have warrants out of Dunellen, Bound Brook, Plainfield, and North Plainfield totaling $4,075.00, as well as a No-Bail Warrant from the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail on Dunellen's warrant. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 8/30/2018 at 7:43 am, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Front St. for the report of Criminal Mischief. The victim reported that during the overnight hours an unknown person had smashed the rear window to their parked vehicle. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 8/27/2018 at 6:24 pm, patrol took a walk-in report of Credit Card Theft. The victim reported a fraudulent charge of $413.28. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 8/26/2018 at 3:35 pm, patrol responded to the NJ Transit tracks near the Dunellen Train Station for the report of a person struck by the train. Patrol assisted in securing the scene until it could be turned over to NJ Transit Police for their investigation.

On 8/26/2018 at 11:37 am, patrol responded to Family Dollar on North Ave for the report of Shoplifting. The actor fled prior to police arrival. This case remains open. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 8/23/2018 at 10:24 am, Jhon Bedoya, 27, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Criminal Sexual Contact following the report that he had inappropriately grabbed a female walking nearby and then fled. Mr. Bedoya was subsequently located and brought to Dunellen HQ for processing before being remanded to the Middlesex County Jail. Det. Brian O'Neill investigated.

On 8/23/2018 at 12:22 am, patrol responded to the 100 blk of Front St. for the report of Criminal Mischief. The victim reported that an unknown person had smashed all of the windows to her parked vehicle. This incident remains open. Sgt. Jeffrey Delbuono investigated.

On 8/22/2018 at 11:23 pm, Damon Ross, 46, of Roselle was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave in which he was a passenger and not wearing a seatbelt. Mr. Ross provided patrol with a fictitious name to conceal warrants for his arrest out of the Union County Sheriff's Office, Fanwood, Plainfield, Roselle, and Westfield totaling $11,978. Mr. Ross was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to the Union County Sheriff's Office on their warrant. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 8/22/2018 at 1:32 pm, Jonathan Rivero, 29, of Dunellen was charged with Shoplifting after investigation into an incident at Tropical Supermarket. Mr. Rivero was observed on surveillance footage concealing a quantity of Boars Head Deluxe Ham in his pants prior to exiting the store without paying for the ham. Mr. Rivero was issued a court appearance date. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 8/21/2018, Timothy Bailey, 30, of Hamilton was arrested and charged with Theft following investigation into an incident on 8/16/2018. Mr. Bailey, a Special Agent with the Division of Taxation was captured on video surveillance stealing $306 from a business on North Washington Ave while in the performance of his duties. Mr. Bailey was processed and released with a court appearance date. Investigation by Det. Brian O'Neill and the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office.

On 8/20/2018 at 11:23 hrs, patrol responded to 8 On The Break on North Ave for the report of Criminal Sexual Contact. The victim reported unwanted advances from a male whom had already left. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 8/20/2018 at 5:47 pm, Zachary Farley, 20, of Dunellen was charged with Criminal Mischief after operating a go-kart at Morecraft Park and causing an estimated $500 of damage to the grass. Mr. Farley was issued a court appearance date. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 8/20/2018 at 7:38 am, patrol responded to Columbia Park for Criminal Mischief. Several fresh marks of graffiti were observed on the bleachers. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 8/18/2018 at 12:56 am, Octavia Carter, 40, of Green Brook was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on the 400 blk of North Ave. Ms. Carter was found to have an active warrant for her arrest out of Plainfield. She was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after posting bail. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 8/17/2018 at 23:18 hrs, Damian Tippett, 38, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Shoplifting (2 cts) following investigation into two separate incidents of shoplifting earlier in the day at Quick Chek. Mr. Tippett was captured on surveillance footage concealing several items on his person and exiting the store. He was later observed by patrol nearby and wearing the same outfit as the previous incidents. Mr. Tippett was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Ptlm. On 8/16/2018 at 12:48 pm, patrol took a walk-in report of Theft from a Dunellen resident. The victim reported the loss of $500. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 8/15/2018 at 11:19 pm, Adama Fofanah, 23, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Ms. Fofanah was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing where she refused to provide samples. Additionally she was found to have a warrant for her arrest out of Bloomfield. She was later released to a sober friend after receiving new court dates. Ptlm. Brian Robbins investigated.

On 8/14/2018 at 2:08 pm, patrol responded to Quick Chek on North Ave for the report of a shoplifting from earlier in the day. Surveillance footage was obtained and this case remains open. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 8/13/2018 at 2:52 pm, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Bound Brook Rd. for the report of a Burglary to a residence. The victim reported the loss of approximately $6,000 worth of property. This case remains open. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 8/13/2018 at 3:22 am, Jay Mercado, 18, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop on Oak Parkway. Mr. Mercado was brought to Dunellen HQ were he refused to provide samples. He was later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Brian Robbins investigated.

On 8/9/2018 at 2:15 pm, patrol took a walk-in report of Credit Card Fraud from a Dunellen resident. The victim reported fraudulent charges of over $400. This case remains open. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 8/7/2018 at 12:33 am, John Morin, 36, of Middlesex was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Fourth St. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Brian Robbins investigated.

On 8/6/2018 at 12:42 am, a 17-year old male was arrested and charged with Obstruction of Justice after leading a foot pursuit with several officers from Green Brook whom were assisting in the investigation of a suspicious person. He was released to a family member. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 8/6/2018 at 12:08 am, Aleksadre Lomidze, 33, of New York was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples after patrol was alerted to a Tractor-Trailer operating recklessly. The truck was observed committing numerous traffic violations on North Washington Ave. Mr. Lomidze was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. On 8/5/2018 at 10:52 pm, Stephan Charles, 25, of Piscataway was charged with Eluding (2nd Deg) after patrol attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop for excessive speed on West Fourth St. Mr. Charles took off and began to operate the vehicle in a highly reckless manner. A court appearance notice was mailed. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 8/5/2018 at 1:22 am, Douglas Rodriguez-Cuellar, 23, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 50g following a motor vehicle stop on New Market Rd. Mr. Rodriguez-Cuellar was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 8/4/2018 at 8:51 pm, Rodney Brewington, 55, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on West Fourth St. Mr. Brewington was found to have warrants out of Dunellen, Bound Brook, and Plainfield. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to Plainfield PD on their warrant. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 8/3/2018 at 9:24 pm, Fulani Muhammad, 22, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension and Falsely Incriminating Another following a motor vehicle stop on West Fourth St in which Mr. Muhammad pretended to be someone else. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 8/2/2018 at 5:56 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of a bicycle theft from a Dunellen resident. The bicycle was reported to be a black mountain bike which had been left unattended on the 300 blk of North Ave. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 8/2/2018 at 12:07 am, Devin Jones, 42, of Piscataway was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on the 100 blk of Front St. Mr. Jones was found to have warrants out of Dunellen, North Plainfield, and Plainfield totaling $1,500. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to North Plainfield PD on their warrant. Ptlm. Brian Robbins investigated.
