On 12/30/2020 at 4:53 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Burglary. The victim, a resident of the 200 blk of Penfield Pl reported that sometime during the previous day an unknown person had accessed his apartment and removed several items valued at $1,350. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 12/29/2020 at 10:23 am, patrol responded to the 500 blk of Walnut St. for the report of Theft. The victim reported that 2 juvenile males had stolen several political signs from her front lawn. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 12/26/2020 at 6:36 pm, Sgt. Lovell, Ptlm. Barry, and Ptlm. Lowder responded to the 200 blk of Orange St. for the report of an Unconscious Male. When examining the victim, a 27 year old male, of Dunellen, patrol observed signs of an Opioid Overdose and administered Narcan Naloxone. The victim regained consciousness and care was transferred to the Dunellen Rescue Squad. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 12/26/2020 at 5:17 pm, patrol responded to the 100 blk of Prospect Ave for the report of Criminal Mischief. The victim reported that an unknown person had shot a paintball at her vehicle and believed it to be part of an ongoing neighbor dispute regarding parking. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 12/23/2020 at 5:30 pm, patrol responded to the 200 blk of Orange St. for the report of an unknown medical problem. Ptlm. Condus and Ptlm. O'Neill arrived to find the victim, a 21 year old male, of Dunellen, unresponsive and exhibiting signs of an Opioid Overdose. Patrol administered Narcan Naloxone and initiated lifesaving efforts. After several minutes the victim did regain consciousness and was turned over to Dunellen Rescue Squad for further treatment and transportation to the hospital. Ptlm. Brian O'Neill investigated.

On 12/22/2020 at 7:27 pm, patrol received a walk-in from a male seeking assistance. Investigation revealed that he had been reported as a missing person out of Sayreville. The victim's family was contacted and he was reunited. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 12/20/2020 at 9:10 pm, patrol responded to the 500 blk of Bound Brook Rd. for the report of Harassment. The victim reported receiving a series of harassing text messages from his neighbor. Both parties were spoken to and explained the process for signing complaints with the court. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 12/14/2020, Craig Sinclair, 45, of Newark was charged with Receiving Stolen Property following investigation into his arrest on 12/9/2020. Mr. Sinclair had been in possession of $160 worth of detergent and personal hygiene products which were confirmed to have been stolen by him in Plainfield shortly before his arrest. Mr. Sinclair was mailed a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 12/14/2020 at 12:28 am, John O'Brien, 27, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Obstructing the Admin of Law, Disorderly Conduct, and Resisting Arrest after a motor vehicle stop in which he was the passenger. Mr. O'Brien was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 12/13/2020 at 3:56 pm, patrol responded to the 100 blk of Pulaski St. for the report of Criminal Mischief. The caller wished to report that she believed an unknown person had caused damage to the undercarriage of her vehicle. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 12/12/2020 at 9:37 pm, Samantha Ghanem, 33, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. She was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 12/11/2020 at 10:57 pm, Osmin Amaya-Amaya, 26, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Prospect Ave. Mr. Amaya-Amaya was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 12/10/2020 at 7:14 am, patrol responded to Gavornik Park off the dead-end of Pulaski St. for the report of a disabled motor vehicle stuck in the park. Investigation revealed that the vehicle had been stolen out of Cranford during the night. The vehicle was secured to be returned to its rightful owner. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 12/9/2020 at 9:51 pm, patrol responded to the 200 blk of Front St. for the neighbor dispute about lost or stolen packages. Involved persons were explained the process for signing complaints with the court. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 12/9/2020 at 9:16 pm, Craig Sinclair, 45, of Newark was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension, Contempt of Court, Disorderly Conduct, Obstructing the Admin of Law, and Lewdness following a pedestrian stop on the 200 blk of North Ave. Mr. Sinclair provided officers with the fictitious name of Jason Edwards to conceal warrants for his arrest out of Newark and prevent prosecution. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing where his antics resulted in the latter three charges. Mr. Sinclair was issued a court appearance notice and transported to RWJ Somerset for an evaluation. Lastly, Mr. Sinclair was in possession of a large number of items which were believed to have been recently stolen and the items were retained for safekeeping and further investigation. Ptlm. On 12/8/2020  at 10:31 pm, Just Hansen, 19, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Theft By Deception (2 cts) and Contempt of Court after patrol responded to the 100 blk of Dunellen Ave. Two victims came forward alleging that Mr. Hansen had scammed them out of $900 total under the guise of selling them a Playstation 5 under the screen name "Britney." After receiving payment, all further communications were blocked. Mr. Hansen was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing. Additionally he was found to have several warrants for his arrest out of Piscataway. He was later released after posting bail and receiving new court dates. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 12/7/2020 at 7:39 am, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Walnut St. for the report of Theft by Deception. The victim reported that an unknown person had opened a line of credit in the victim's name. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 12/7/2020 at 3:49 am, Jadyn Shivers, 20, of Woodbridge was arrested and charged with Theft by Deception (2 cts), Identity Theft, Forgery (3 cts), Wrongful Impersonation (2 cts), and Credit Card Theft following investigation into an incident first reported on 1/2/2020 in which Mr. Shivers allegedly opened several student loans and lines of credit in the victim's name. Mr. Shivers was apprehended following a motor vehicle stop by Boonton PD. He was transported to Dunellen HQ for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail. Det. On 12/5/2020 at 11:23 pm, Marvin Reyes, 33, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Madison Ave. Mr. Reyes was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 12/4/2020 at 10:41 pm, Elijah Wilson, 21, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Theft of Movable Property following a walk-in report of Theft at Dunellen HQ and subsequent investigation. The victim alleged that Mr. Wilson removed from his vehicle an iPhone 12 Pro valued at $1,400. Mr. Wilson was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Ptlm. On 12/4/2020 at 12:30 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Bias Criminal Mischief. The victim, a representative of a church, reported approximately $2,000 in damages to a religious statue outside of the premises. Ptlm. Brian O'Neill investigated.

On 12/3/2020 at 12:42 am, Darnell Hunter-Perello, 20, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension, Possession of Marijuana, Marijuana Distribution, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Hunter-Perello gave officers a fictitious name to prevent proper prosecution and conceal a warrant for his arrest out of Plainfield. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date, as well as a new court date for Plainfield. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 12/2/2020 at 8:10 pm, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Third St. for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that during the prior night an unknown individual had accessed an unlocked vehicle and removed a wallet containing an ATM Card and Driver's License. Ptlm.
