On 12/29/2017 at 7:47 am, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Fairview Ave for the report of Criminal Mischief. The victim reported that an unknown person had damaged the driver's side mirror of their vehicle while parked overnight. Patrol had responded to this area at approximately 3:30 am on the report of a suspicious person but had been unable to locate anyone at that time. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 12/27/2017 at 4:01 pm, patrol received a walk-in report from a resident of the 300 blk of Whittier Ave for Credit Card Fraud. The victim reported loss of $184. This case remains open. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 12/23/2017 at 9:15 pm, patrol responded to the 400 blk of Second St. for the report of a Residential Burglary which occurred sometime in the past. Proceeds included jewelry and a watch. Det. Brian O'Neill investigated.

On 12/22/2017 at 10:30 am, patrol took a walk-in report of criminal mischief to a vehicle parked on the property of a Madison Ave. resident. The victim reported that he discovered his tires slashed on 12/19. This case is being forwarded to the Detective Bureau for inclusion into the other burglaries and criminal mischief cases. Ptlm. On 12/22/2017 at 10:09 am, patrol took a walk-in report of criminal mischief to the Dunellen Fire Department building on South Madison Ave. Officials reported that one of the first floor window screens had been slashed. It is believed this incident took place on 12/19 along with the rash of burglaries and criminal mischief and has been forwarded to the Detective Bureau. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 12/21/2017 at 4:26 pm, Ivan Martinez, 21, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Attempted Burglary (3 counts), Burglary (6 counts), Criminal Mischief (12 counts), Theft (5 counts), Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Contempt of Court (3 counts). Mr. Martinez was captured on surveillance footage committing the recent rash of motor vehicle burglaries, attempted home burglaries, and instances of criminal mischief. Additionally he had a no-bail warrant from the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office and several warrants out of Plainfield. Mr. Martinez was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail on charges from his crime spree in Dunellen. Det. Joe Dudley and Det. Brian O'Neill investigated.

On 12/21/2017 at 11:18 am, patrol responded to the 300 blk of High St. for the report of an attempted home burglary. It was reported that a male attempted to gain access to the residence through the rear unsuccessfully. He fled prior to police arrival but an accurate description was obtained. Sgt. John Doherty investigated.

On 12/20/2017 at 5:21 pm, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Walnut St. for the report of Criminal Mischief. The victim reported slashed tires to their parked vehicle. Sgt. Christopher Beenders investigated.

On 12/19/2017 at 6:07 pm, patrol responded to the 300 blk of South Madison Ave for the report of Criminal Mischief and Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed their unlocked vehicle, stolen loose change and caused damage. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated. 

On 12/19/2017 at 5:55 pm, patrol responded to Lehigh St for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. An unknown person had accessed the victim's unlocked vehicle and rummaged through the contents. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated. 

On 12/19/2017 at 4:01 pm, patrol responded to the 200 blk of South Madison Ave for the report of Criminal Mischief. An unknown person had accessed the victim's unlocked vehicle and caused damage. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated. 

On 12/19/2017 at 3:27 pm, patrol responded to Madison Ave for the report of Criminal Mischief. The victim reported that a tire on their vehicle had been slashed. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated. 

On 12/19/2017 at 12:12 pm, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Fairview Ave for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed their unlocked vehicle and stolen several items. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated. 

On 12/19/2017 at 10:40 am, patrol responded to the 200 blk of South Madison Ave for the report of Burglary to a garage. An unknown person had accessed the garage and stolen several items. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated. 

On 12/19/2017 at 10:38 am, Pedro Pavez, 34, of Piscataway was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon after police responded to the 300 blk of Prospect Ave on the report of a suspicious person. Mr. Pavez was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated. 

On 12/19/2017 at 9:42 AM, patrol responded to the 200 blk of South Madison Ave for the report of Criminal Mischief. An unknown person caused several scratches on the door and hood of the victim's parked vehicle. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated. 

On 12/19/2017 at 9:19 am, patrol responded to the 300 blk of High St for the report of Criminal Mischief. The victim reported that an unknown person had smashed out the windows to their parked vehicle and stolen several items. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated. 

On 12/19/2017 at 9:18 am, patrol responded to Lehigh St for the report of Criminal Mischief and Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. An unknown person had accessed the unlocked vehicle, stolen change and caused damage. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated. 

On 12/19/2017 at 8:35 am, patrol responded to the 300 blk of South Madison Ave for the report of Criminal Mischief. Patrol observed a vehicle with a smashed windshield caused by being struck with a large rock several times. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated. 

On 12/19/2017 at 7:43 am, patrol responded to the 200 blk of South Madison Ave for the report of slashed tires to two vehicles. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On  12/19/2017 at 7:33 am, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Walnut St for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed their vehicle and stolen loose change as well as several Christmas presents. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated. 

On 12/19/2017 at 7:28 am, patrol responded to the 200 blk of South Madison for the report of Criminal Mischief and Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported an unknown person had entered their unlocked vehicle, stolen several items, and them proceeded to cause damage to the vehicle and also slashed a window screen on the residence. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated. 

On 12/19/2017 at 7:10 am, patrol responded to the 200 blk of South Madison Ave for the report of Criminal Mischief. The victim reported two window screens to their home which had been slashed. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated. 

On 12/19/2017 at 5:32 am, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Walnut St for the report of a male attempting to enter parked cars. This investigation remains open. Det. Brian O'Neill investigated.

On 12/18/2017 at 11:49 pm, Jahmel White, 37, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 50G following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Rd. Additionally, Mr. White was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Plainfield. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to Plainfield PD on their warrant. Ptlm. On 12/17/2017 at 6:10 pm, patrol responded to the 500 blk of Center St. for the report of the Theft of Christmas Lights. The victim reported the theft of a "star caster" and extension cord. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 12/13/2017 at 11:52 pm, Kevin Loncke, 44, of Piscataway was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Loncke was found to have several warrants for his arrest from Plainfield and Bridgewater. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after posting bail. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 12/12/2017 at 11:24 pm, Luisa Barillas-Rivas, 38, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension after providing patrol with a fictitious name and date of birth during a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Ms. Barillas-Rivas was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. On 12/11/2017 at 1:15 am, Hermenegildo Serrano-Navarro, 27, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass following patrol response to the report of an intoxicated intruder on the 500 blk of Walnut St. Mr. Serrano-Navarro was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated. 

On 12/10/2017 at 8:00 pm, patrol took a walk-in report of a Cell Phone Theft from a customer at 8 On The Break. This case remains open. Sgt. Jeffrey Delbuono investigated. 

On 12/10/2017 at 9:01 pm, David Reeder, 24, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Theft and Unlawful Taking of a Means of Conveyance following investigation into an incident earlier in the day at Diane's Laundromat on North Ave. Mr. Reeder was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail. On 12/10/2017 at 1:50 am, Savill Griffin, 28, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Mr. Griffin was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and was later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Brian Robbins investigated. 

On 12/9/2017 at 2:38 am, Jawan King, 23, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 50g and Possession of Cocaine following investigation into a suspicious incident at Quick Chek. Mr. King was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated. 

On 12/9/2017 at 12:08 am, Isaicelin Blaz, 21, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Possession of Under 50g of Marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Mr. Blaz was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated. 

On 12/9/2017 at 12:05 am, Erico Garcia, 35, of South Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated after being found asleep behind the wheel in the roadway on North Washington Ave. Mr. Garcia was brought to Dunellen Hq for processed and later transferred to Somerset Medical Center for evaluation. On 12/6/2017 at 11:48 pm, patrol responded to Quick Chek on North Ave. for the report of a shoplifting in progress. Upon the arrival of police, the shoplifter, described as a white male wearing a red hat and black jacket fled the area on foot and was unable to be apprehended. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 12/6/2017 at 8:36 am, patrol received a walk-in report of Credit Card Fraud from a resident of the 200 blk of Oak Parkway. The victim reported total losses of $7,120.72. This case remains open. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 12/4/2017 at 9:42 pm, Kevin Lopez, 24, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court after being stopped by patrol conducting a check of Columbia Park after closing. Mr. Lopez was found in the park after closing and additionally found to have an active warrant for his arrest out of Bound Brook. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 12/4/2017 at 1:06 pm, Willie Torres Jr., 27, of Philadelphia was taken into custody and extradited from a Pennsylvania jail on an outstanding warrant of Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Assault with Injury related to an incident on 2/24/2017. Mr. Torres Jr. was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing before being remanded to the Middlesex County Jail. Det. Joe Dudley investigated. 

On 12/2/2017 at 7:34 pm, patrol responded to the 600 blk of Madison Ave for the report of a Burglary to a residence. It was determined that an unknown person(s) had accessed the unoccupied home by breaking a rear window. Proceeds included jewelry. This case has been forwarded to the Detective Bureau. Ptlm. On 12/1/2017 at 5:30 pm, patrol took a walk-in report of terroristic threats from a resident of the 400 blk of Front St. The incident was documented and the complainant was advised of the procedure for signing a complaint. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 12/1/2017 at 10:19 am, Stacey Morris, 49, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a hit and run motor vehicle accident on South Washington Ave. Ms. Morris was transported to RWJ Hospital where samples were provided before being released to hospital staff.
