On 12/31/2019 at 11:47 pm, Jason Papatyi, 32, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, and Contempt of Court after patrol was called to the 700 blk of Bound Brook Rd. for a Dispute. Mr. Papatyi was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of the Somerset County Sheriff's Office in the amount of $32,180.33 and physically resisted officers attempting to arrest him. Mr. Papatyi was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later remanded to the Somerset County Jail on their warrant. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 12/31/2019 at 8:57 am, Walter James, 30, of Piscataway was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Mr. James was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Middlesex Boro in the amount of $750. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after posting bail. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 12/30/2019 at 12:49 pm, Emmanual Wright, 28, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court after patrol was dispatched to Fourth St. for the report of an unwanted person. Mr. Wright was found to have warrants for his arrest out of Washington Boro and Phillipsburg totaling $3,050. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with new court dates. On 12/29/2019 at 6:55 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Harassment. The victim reported receiving several harassing messages and phone calls. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 12/27/2019 at 5:24 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Harassment. The victim reported receiving several harassing text messages. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 12/27/2019 at 2:29 am, Emmanuel Wright, 28, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court after patrol was called to Quick Chek on North Ave for the report of a disorderly patron refusing to leave. Mr. Wright was found to have a No-Bail warrant out of the Middlesex County Sheriff's Office as well as warrants out of Plainfield and Phillipsburg totaling $4,700. Mr. Wright was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail on the Sheriff's Office warrant. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 12/26/2019 at 3:04 pm, Willie Ragin, 49, of Bayonne was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property after a motor vehicle stop on the 100 blk of North Ave where Mr. Ragin was operating a vehicle which was displaying stolen license plates. The plates had been reported stolen out of Bayonne several days prior. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 12/26/2019 at 8:57 am, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft and Forgery. The victim, an elderly female, reported hiring a contractor to do work over the last several months. She reported that one of the checks issued to him was altered and cashed for an amount significantly greater than it was originally issued for and several other checks were entirely fraudulent and appear to have been stolen from the back of her checkbook. The total amount of fraudulent charges added to $16,000. A thorough investigation identified the suspect as Dominic Volpe, 42, of Raritan Boro. Mr. Volpe was charged with Forgery by Altering, Forgery (3 cts), Theft, Wrongful Impersonation, and Contempt of Court. A warrant was issued for his arrest. Additionally he was found to have the following warrants: Hunterdon County Sheriff's Office (No-Bail), East Brunswick ($500), Woodbridge ($664), Middlesex Boro ($1,500), South River ($517), and Branchburg ($455). On the evening of 12/26/2019, Ptlm. Barry and Ptlm. Goldman responded to Raritan Boro where they were assisted by several Raritan officers in checking residences associated with Mr. Volpe. He was eventually located in a basement hiding underneath a pile of clothes and taken into custody without further incident. Mr. Volpe was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 12/24/2019 at 12:15 pm, Wayne Newsom, 28, of Piscataway was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on South Ave. Mr. Newsom was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of South Brunswick in the amount of $500. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a new court date. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 12/23/2019 at 12:15 am, patrl received a walk-in report of Burglary to a Motor Vehicle and Debit Card Fraud. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed her unlocked vehicle on the evening of 12/21/2019 and subsequently stolen a purse containing her debit card. The debit card was used that morning at ATM's at Rey's Lavamatic Wash and Quick Chek in Dunellen adding $222.75 to her loss. This case remains open. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 12/21/2019 at 5:22 pm, Brittany Eustice, 18, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Theft following police response to the 700 blk of Dunellen Ave on the report that an individual had stolen 90 Xanax pills from another. Ms. Eustice was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 12/21/2019 at 9:38 am, patrol received a walk-in report of Credit Card Fraud. The victim reported fraudulent transactions totaling $93. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 12/21/2019 at 3:22 pm, Michael Harrell, 57, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Shoplifting following investigation into several incidents at Quick Chek. Mr. Harrell was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 12/21/2019 at 8:05 am, patrol received a walk-in report of Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that her unlocked vehicle had been accessed on the 100 blk of North Ave sometime during the night prior and that a purse containing $490 worth of items were stolen. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 12/21/2019, Justin Hansen, 18, and Marcus Hansen, 21, both of Dunellen were charged with Simple Assault following investigation into an incident on 12/18/2019 at Sun Power Gas. Both were sent court appearance notices. Sgt. Jeffrey Delbuono investigated.

On 12/21/2019, a 13 year old male juvenile, of Dunellen, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Using Prescription Drugs Without a Prescription, following an investigation into a motor vehicle accident on 11/9/2019 in which the juvenile operated a motor vehicle which struck several parked cars on Fairview Ave and caused significant damage. A court appearance notice was sent. Sgt. Jeffrey Delbuono investigated.

On 12/19/2019 at 5:04 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft. The victim reported fraudulent bank charges of $1,515. This case remains open. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 12/19/2019, Terrell Alson Jr., 21, of Plainfield was charged with Shoplifting following investigation into an incident on Family Dollar on 12/5/2019. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated. 

On 12/18/2019 at 10:03 pm, patrol responded to the 500 blk of North Ave for the report of a Stolen Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that two males had stolen his vehicle which was running and unlocked outside of the residence. The vehicle was last seen fleeing towards Middlesex. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 12/18/2019 at 12:05 pm, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Bound Brook Rd for the report of Theft. The victim reported the theft of an oven and refrigerator which had been outside of the building, valued at $400. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 12/18/2019 at 1:13 am, patrol responded to Sun Power Gas on North Ave for the report of Simple Assault. The victim reported that he had been attacked by three individuals. This case remains open. Sgt. Jeffrey Delbuono investigated.

On 12/18/2019 at 12:05 am, Elizabeth Rouland, 63, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop after patrol was alerted to a reportedly intoxicated individual leaving North Tavern and attempting to drive home. Ms. Rouland was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing where she refused to provide samples. She was released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 12/16/2019 at 12:47 am, Xavyre Batista, 21, of Parlin was arrested for Contempt of Court after patrol was called to South Madison Ave for the report of several people fighting. Mr. Batista was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Englishtown in the amount of $750. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after receiving a new court date. Sgt. On 12/13/2019 at 1:20 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft. The victim reported that he had mislaid his wallet while waiting for the bus the night prior and that someone had stolen it. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 12/13/2019 at 10:37 am, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft. The victim reported that an unknown person had removed her purse containing a driver's license and several credit cards while she was attending a function at the Knights of Columbus the night prior. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 12/12/2019 at 10:35 pm, Tazyer Roberts, 20, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on the 300 blk of North Ave. Mr. Roberts was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of South Plainfield. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after posting bail. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 12/12/2019 at 12:53 am, Irvin Torres, 30, of Newark was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on the 200 blk of North Ave. Mr. Torres was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Belleville in the amount of $700. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after posting bail. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 12/10/2019 at 4:58 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft. The victim, a resident of the 200 blk of New Market Rd, wished to report the theft of two recently delivered packages which were left on a rear porch. The total value was $60. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 12/10/2019 at 10:23 am, patrol responded to the 200 blk of North Ave for the report of Criminal Mischief. The victim wished to report damage to his parked vehicle. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 12/9/2019 at 10:10 pm, Kevin Atkinson, 60, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension and Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop in which he was a passenger. Mr. Atkinson was not wearing a seatbelt and provided a fictitious name to officers to conceal a $1,000 warrant out of Plainfield. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to Plainfield PD on their warrant. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 12/6/2019 at 11:42 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Lost Property. The reporting party wished to report a lost wallet, driver's license, and social security card. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 12/6/2019 at 10:46 pm, Mauricio Almendarez-Lopez, 30, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated after patrol received a 911 call reporting a vehicle with a flat tire and front end damage driving erratically. Mr. Almendarez-Lopez was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 12/6/2019 at 8:25 pm, patrol responded to the 100 blk of New Market Rd at the request of Elizabeth PD to assist with a missing person's investigation. The missing person was located at the residence. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 12/6/2019 at 8:58 am, Jadira Thomas, 28, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on So. Washington Ave. Ms. Thomas was found to have an active warrant for her arrest out of Piscataway for $550. She was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after posting bail. Ptlm. On 12/5/2019 at 12:21 pm, patrol responded to Family Dollar on North Ave for the report of Shoplifting. Staff reported the theft of bodywash and several other unknown items. With the assistance of the Detective Bureau, a suspect was identified and charges are pending. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 12/4/2019 at 5:11 pm, patrol responded to the 200 blk of Dunellen Ave for the report of Simple Assault. The victim wished to report that he had been shoved following a verbal altercation about dog walking. The victim was explained the process for signing a complaint with the court. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 12/1/2019 at 4:58 pm, patrol responded to the 100 blk of North Ave for the report of Harassment. The caller wished to report several incidents over the past few weeks. The reporting person was explained the process for filing a complaint with the court. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.
