On 2/28/2018 at 12:08 am, Brenda Jaramillo, 21, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Ms. Jaramillo was found to have several warrants out of South Plainfield totaling $2,089. She was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 2/25/2018 at 9:25 pm, patrol responded to Dunellen BBQ on Bound Brook Rd. for the report of a stolen wallet. The victim reported that he had left his wallet on the table after dining and had returned to find it missing. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 2/24/20468 at 11:45 pm, Carl Tullis, 24, was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave in which he was a passenger. Mr. Tullis was found to have an active warrant for his arrest out of South Brunswick. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after posting bail. Ptlm. On 2/23/2018 at 7:52 pm, Ira Deshields, 49, of Lebanon was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated after patrol observed his vehicle parked in the Gavornik Park field. Mr. Deshields was brought to Dunellen HQ for arrest processing and Middlesex PD for the alcotest before being released to a sober family member. Sgt. John Doherty investigated.

On 2/22/2018 at 9:13 pm, Frederick Bower, 54, of Hillsborough was arrested and charged with two counts of Forgery following investigation into an incident involving a forged lease agreement that was reported on 2/21/2018. Mr. Bower was processed at Dunellen HQ and later released with a court date. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 2/22/2018 at 12:06 pm, patrol responded to Misco on South Second St. for the report of Theft. The victim reported the theft of an industrial tire valued at $2,800. Sgt. Prescott Chin investigated.

On 2/21/2018 at 3:27 pm, patrol responded to Family Dollar on North Ave for the report of Shoplifting. The suspect, described as a black male in his late 50s, wearing a navy jacket and blue jeans fled prior to police arrival with items from the store valued at $162.50. Sgt. Prescott Chin investigated.

On 2/20/2018 at 10:15 am, Brandon Byron, 28, of Piscataway was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop for an equipment violation on West Fourth St. Mr. Byron was found to have warrants out of Piscataway and Carteret totaling $1,000. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after posting bail. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 2/17/2018 at 12:15 am, William Lewis Jr., 46, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension following a motor vehicle stop on the 200 blk of Front St. in which he was a passenger and not wearing a seatbelt. Mr. Lewis Jr. provided a fictitious name to conceal warrants for his arrest out of North Plainfield and South Plainfield totaling $1,279. He was brought to Dunellen HQ and later released after posting bail. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 2/15/2018 at 1:01 am, patrol responded to Grove St. for the report of Robbery. The victim reported that a black male in his mid twenties wearing black pants and a black hoodie had forcibly pushed him off of his bicycle before taking it and fleeing eastbound. The incident was reported several minutes later and the victim refused medical treatment. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated. 

On 2/14/2018 at 1:44 pm, Anthony Laeyt, 33, of Jackson was charged with Burglary and Theft of Movable Property following investigation into an incident reported on 1/9/2018. Mr. Laeyt is currently being held at the Middlesex County Jail on a seperate matter. Det. Brian O'Neill investigated. 

On 2/12/2018 at 10:10 pm, Nataisha Harley, 19, of Piscataway was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave in which she was a passenger. Ms. Harley was discovered to have an active warrant for her arrest out of Plainfield. She was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after posting bail. Ptlm. On 2/10/2018 at 4:42 pm, John Kucharik, 60, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court following investigation into a separate incident where it was revealed that he had warrants out of Middlesex, Bound Brook, and Watchung totaling $1,050. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to Middlesex PD on their warrant. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 2/9/2018 at 5:43 pm, Gregory Noonan, 24, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Theft by Deception following investigation into an incident on 1/5/2018. Mr. Noonan was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released with a court date. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 2/8/2018 at 11:33 pm, Gonzalo Melgar-Mejia, 25, of Plainfield was arrested for Driving Without a License following a motor vehicle stop on the 100 blk of North Ave. Mr. Melgar-Mejia was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after he was properly identified. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 2/8/2018 at 10:52 am, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Penfield Place for the report of Theft. The victim reported theft of an air conditioner unit valued at $1,800. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 2/6/2018 at 7:29 am, patrol responded to the 300 blk of South Madison Ave for the report of Criminal Mischief. The victim reported that an unknown person had thrown a rock at their parked vehicle and damaged the rear window sometime overnight. Ptlm. Brian Robbins investigated.

On 2/5/2018 at 10:06 am, patrol received a walk-in report of Bad Checks from a resident of Third St. The reported loss was $600. The victim was directed to the court to sign complaints. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 2/4/2018 at 7:09 pm, Charles Luciano-Ballester, 56, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Lewdness as well as several borough ordinance violations after patrol responded to 30 Burgers/Mike's Subs on South Washington Ave for the report of an intoxicated individual refusing to leave the store at closing. Upon police arrival Mr. Luciano-Ballester lowered his pants and proceeded to urinate in the dining area. He was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Somerset. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 2/3/2018 at 11:46 pm, Alan Bersosa, 18, of Piscataway, and Genesis Rodriguez, 19, of Dunellen were both arrested and charged with Possession of Over 50g of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on the 100 blk of Dunellen Ave. Additionally, Ms. Rodriguez was charged with Hindering Apprehension for providing a fraudulent name throughout the investigation. Both were brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released pending a court appearance. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 2/3/2018 at 1:07 am, Parth Patel, 25, of Iselin was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on New Market Rd. Mr. Patel was found to have warrants out of Clifton and Edison in the amount of $1,000. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after posting bail. Ptlm. On 2/2/2018 at 12:55 pm, patrol responded to the 400 blk of Front St. for the report of Identity Theft. This incident remains open. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.
