On 2/12/2019 at 9:19 pm, patrol responded to the 400 blk of Jefferson Ave for the report of a Stolen License Plate. It was reported that sometime during the day an unknown person had removed the license plate from the victim's parked vehicle. Sgt. Jeffrey DelBuono investigated.

On 2/12/2019, Michael Machonis, 23, of Bridgewater was charged with Bad Checks and Theft by Deception following investigation into an incident originally originally reported on 9/10/2018. Mr. Machonis was mailed a court appearance notice. Det. Brian O'Neill investigated.

On 2/8/2019 at 7:49 am, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Second St. for the report of Fraud. The victim reported that she had received several fraudulent charges on her credit card of approximately $1,000. This case has been forwarded to the Detective Bureau. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 2/5/2019 at 11:46 am, Bianca Webb, 26, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension and Contempt of Court following a premise check at the train station. A short while earlier, patrol had received a call to the 300 blk of North Ave for the report of a female that had defecated in the elevator. Ms. Webb was located at the train station matching the description given and had also been found to have defecated in the waiting area of the train station. After providing officers with a fictitious name to conceal warrants out of South Orange and Newark she was placed under arrest. Ms. Webb was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with court dates. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 2/5/2019 at 8:00 am, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Second St. for the report of Burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim reported two unlocked vehicles were accessed by an unknown person and that approximately $500 in items had been stolen. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 2/5/2019 at approximately 7:53 am, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Second St for the report of Criminal Trespass to a vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed their unlocked vehicle, rummaging through the contents but locating no items of value to steal. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 2/5/2019 at approximately 6:44 am, patrol responded to the 400 blk of First St. for the report of a stolen motor vehicle. The victim reported that their Chevy Silverado, which had been left unsecured and with the keys in the vehicle, was stolen. The vehicle was later recovered by Edison PD. This case remains open and has been forwarded to the Detective Bureau. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 2/4/2019 at approximately 11:46 pm, patrol responded to the 400 blk of Madison Ave for the report of a Burglary to a motor vehicle. The victims reported that an unknown person had accessed both of their unlocked vehicles, stealing approximately $10 worth of change. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 2/4/2019 at 7:45 pm, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Madison Ave for the report of a Burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed their unlocked vehicle stealing approximately $50 worth of items and currency. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 2/3/2019 at 10:47 am, patrol responded to Family Dollar on North Ave for the report of shoplifting. The caller reported an unknown male had stolen soap and bodywash, fleeing the area before police arrival. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 2/2/2019 at 10:43 pm, Samuel Bryant, 58, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension and Contempt of Court following a bicycle stop on North Ave for equipment violations. Mr. Bryant provided a fictitious name in order to conceal multiple warrants for his arrest out of Plainfield. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to Plainfield PD on their warrants. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.
