On 2/28/2021 at 9:57 pm, Mena Mehanny, 30, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following police response to a reported hit and run accident on North Ave. Mr. Mehanny's vehicle was observed damaged and driving at a slow rate of speed on New Market Ave. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. On 2/28/2021 at 11:21 am, patrol responded to the 1700 blk of West Fourth St. for the report of a Burglary to a motor vehicle. Patrol discovered two vehicles which had been left unlocked and burglarized overnight. In one of the vehicles, several credit cards had been stolen and $311.50 already charged to them at various locations. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 2/24/2021 at 10:18 am, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed his debit card and stolen $500. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 2/22/2021 at 9:10 am, patrol responded to the 200 blk of Dunellen ave for the reported Burglary and Theft. The victim reported that an unknown person had entered and removed $400 and a firearm. This case has been forwarded to the Detective Bureau. Det. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 2/21/2021 at 11:48 am, patrol responded to the 100 blk of North Ave for the report of a Burglary. The business owner reported that a person had accessed the building the night prior and removed $8,000. This case was forwarded to the Detective Bureau. Sgt. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 2/19/2021 at 11:53 pm, Walter Flores, 34, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on the 200 blk of North Ave. Mr. Flores was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. On 2/19/2021 at 8:25 pm, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Mountainview Terrace for the report of Theft. The victim reported receiving a scam call from someone claiming to be from PSE&G and sending the unknown scammer almost $2,000. Sgt. Brian Robbins investigated.

On 2/13/2021 at 6:36 pm, Randy Hilliard, 31, of Port Reading was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following police response to a single car motor vehicle accident where Mr. Hilliard had struck a parking meter and came to rest atop a snow bank. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later transported for a medical evaluation due to level of intoxication. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 2/11/2021 at 1:13 pm, patrol responded to the 200 blk of South Washington Ave for the report of Identity Theft. The victim reported receiving an iPhone and Apple Watch valued at over $1700, ordered on credit which he didn't authorize. The victim reported receiving the package before the scammer was able to intercept it, a commonly committed fraud. The electronics were returned and this case was forwarded to the Detective Bureau for follow-up. Ptlm. Joe Dudley investigated.

On 2/7/2021 at 10:08 pm, Raymond Meehan, 54, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Shoplifting, Defiant Trespass, and Disorderly Conduct following a call to Discount Liquors on North Ave where Mr. Meehan had been previously banned from for shoplifting. He was found to have stolen a bottle of Tito's Vodka. Additionally, Mr. Meehan had two warrants out of Elizabeth, one in the amount of $500 and one with no-bail. Mr. Meehan was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to Elizabeth PD on their warrants. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 2/6/2021 at 2:41 am, Erwin Bolvito, 29, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Bolvito was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 2/3/2021 at 4:09 pm, patrol responded to the 600 blk of Dunellen Ave for the report of Theft. The victim reported the theft of several packages from her front step valued at $26. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 2/1/2021, Fabian Miranda, 49, of Landing was charged with Operating While Suspended for DWI following investigation into a motor vehicle stop on 1/10/2021. Mr. Miranda was mailed a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.
