On 1/29/2021 at 3:00 pm, Brandon Boylan, 35, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute (3rd Deg) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after suspicious items were observed following investigation into a fire at a residence on Center St. Police seized (9) adult marijuana plants as a result of the investigation. Mr. Boylan was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Det. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 1/28/2021 at 11:11 pm, Tajah Bacot, 31, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on the 200 blk of North Ave. Mr. Bacot was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Scotch Plains in the amount of $750. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 1/28/2021 at 8:08 am, Crystal Beniquez, 26, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Shoplifting after patrol responded to Quick Chek on North Ave. Ms. Beniquez was found to have concealed items in a duffle bag totaling $91. She was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Ptlm. Joe Dudley investigated.

On 1/26/2021 at 9:03 pm, Kharee Lane, 33, of Edison was arrested for Fugitive from Justice following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Lane was found to have an extraditable warrant for his arrest out of Delaware. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail awaiting extradition to Delaware. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 1/24/2021 at 2:47 pm, patrol responded to the 500 blk of Bound Brook Rd. for the report of Simple Assault. The victim alleged that an ongoing neighbor dispute had turned physical. Both parties were explained the process of signing complaints with the court. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 1/23/2021, Theodore Clark Jr., 61, of Newark was charged with Shoplifting following investigation into an incident at Quick Chek on 1/19/2021. Mr. Clark Jr. was mailed a court appearance notice. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.  

On 1/22/2021 at 12:28 pm, patrol received a walk-in report from the same victim as the Terroristic Threats incident stating that she had again been assaulted by the same unknown acquaintance. The victim was treated by EMS. Ptlm. Joe Dudley investigated.

On 1/22/2021 at 11:27 am, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Bound Brook Rd. for the report of Terroristic Threats. The victim reported that an acquaintance had threatened her and that the argument had turned physical. The suspect fled prior to police arrival. Ptlm. Joe Dudley investigated.

On 1/20/2021, Dejon Hodges, 20, of California was charged with Theft By Deception following investigation into an incident reported on 8/10/2020 in which a Dunellen resident was fraudulently scammed out of $1,000 believing he was purchasing several pairs of sneakers. Mr. Hodges was mailed a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 1/19/2021 at 1:30 pm patrol responded to Quick Chek on North Ave for the report of Shoplifting. Staff reported that an unknown  male had entered the store, taken several candy items valued at $12 and fled on foot. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 1/17/2021 at 8:54 am, Omar Abrego, 40, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following police response to a motor vehicle accident on the 200 blk of North Ave. Mr. Abrego was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 1/6/2021 at 7:55 pm, patrol responded to the 200 blk of New Market Rd. for the report of Simple Assault. The victim reported that a male known to her had pushed her following a verbal argument. During the investigation the victim became uncooperative with responding officers and did not wish further action. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 1/5/2021 at 11:07 pm, Dino Funari, 46, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Burglary, Criminal Trespass, and Theft after patrol was called to the 400 blk of North Ave. The caller reported that someone had entered their basement and was attempting to steal items. Mr. Funari fled prior to police arrival but was located nearby, in possession of an item of women's clothing which had been stolen from the residence. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 1/2/2021 at 9:18 am, patrol located an abandoned vehicle on South Second St which had been reported stolen out of Plainfield during the prior night. The vehicle was secured to be returned to it's rightful owner. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 1/1/2021 at 1:43 am, Peter Clarke, 40, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following police response to a motor vehicle accident with overturned car on the 700 blk of Center St. Mr. Clarke was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.
