On 7/31/2021 at 1:09 pm, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Oak Parkway on the report of Criminal Mischief. The victim reported that all four of the tires on their parked vehicle had been slashed. Ptlm. Brian O'Neill investigated.

On 7/31/2021 at 10:38 am, patrol responded to Family Dollar on North Ave. Staff reported that on the day prior, an unknown male had entered the store and exchanged $500 in counterfeit currency. Det. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 7/29/2021 at 10:53 am, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft by Deception. The victim reported being contacted online by an unknown individual claiming to help him invest in bitcoin and the victim did send the scammer $1,000. Sgt. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 7/28/2021 at 7:56 am, patrol responded to the 500 blk of Mountainview Terrace for the report of a Burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had entered their unlocked vehicle during the prior night and rummaged through the contents. Sgt. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 7/25/2021 at 1:43 am, Juston Roseman, 30, of South Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 7/19/2021 at 1:39 am, Freddy Velastegui-Espine, 41, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a police response of a vehicle crashed into a tree on Bound Brook Rd. Mr. Velastegui-Espine was arrested and brought to RWJ Hospital for processing where a blood sample was obtained. He was later transported to his residence and released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 7/16/2021 at 10:56 am, Jafar Wactor, 27 of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Shoplifting and Contempt of Court after taking items from Family Dollar on North Ave valued at $49 without paying. Mr. Wactor was apprehended by patrol shortly thereafter and transported to Dunellen HQ for processing where he was found to have several warrants out of Elizabeth. He was released after receiving new court dates. Ptlm. Brian O'Neill investigated.

On 7/15/2021 at 4:36 pm, Jacob Cojon, 35, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Cojon was found to have no-bail warrants out of Clinton Twp and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and turned over to Clinton Twp PD. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 7/15/2021 at 12:08 am, Jimmy Stanley, 71, of South Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court after being observed by patrol rummaging through the outside contents of a closed business and found to have warrants for his arrest out of Newark, Fanwood, Pohatcong, and Planfield totaling $4,150. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after receiving new court dates. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 7/14/2021 at 1:23 am, Janel Fuller, 39, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Prospect Ave. Ms. Fuller was brought to Dunellen and Green Brook HQ's for processing and later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 7/12/2021 at 9:48 pm, patrol responded to Rey's Lava-Matic on Lincoln Ave for the report of an Armed Robbery. Staff reported that a black male, about 5'10" in his mid 20's wearing a gray hoodie with stripes on the sleeve and a yellow ski mask robbed the business and employees, threatening them with a black handgun. He was last reported fleeing East on foot on Front St. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated. This case has been forwarded to Det. DeAngelo for further investigation.

On 7/10/2021 at 10:48 pm, Ridline Jean-Philippe, 32, of Union was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples after patrol was called to Railroad Ave for a vehicle which had struck a parked car and was attempting to flee. Ms. Jean-Philippe was arrested and brought to Dunellen HQ for processing where she refused to provide breath samples. She was later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 7/7/2021, Daniel Babcock, 51, of Phillipsburg was charged with Destruction of Evidence after further investigation into the prior day's pursuit it was determined that Mr. Babcock had tossed an amount of heroin out of the vehicle which was recovered and consistent with the packaging of the heroin recovered inside of the vehicle. He was mailed a court appearance notice. Det. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 7/7/2021 at 4:43 am, Shawn Gonzalez, 40, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court after patrol was called to a residence on Prospect Ave. Mr. Gonzalez was found to have an active warrant for his arrest out of the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office. He was brought to RWJ Hospital for an evaluation and later turned over to the Middlesex County Sheriff's Office. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 76/2021 at 5:12 pm, Daniel Babcock, 51, of Phillipsburg was arrested and charged with Eluding (2nd deg), Poss. of Heroin, Poss. of Prescription Drugs (2 cts), and Poss. of Drug Paraphernalia after unsuccessfully attempting to flee from a motor vehicle stop. Once apprehended, Warren Twp K-9 Officer Bryan Horst and K-9 "Nikita" assisted, alerting to the odor of narcotics in the vehicle. Mr. Babcock was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail.  Det. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 7/5/2021 at 1:56 pm, patrol responded to the 700 blk of First St. for the report of Criminal Mischief. The victim reported that fireworks from the night prior had caused damaged to his parked vehicle. Sgt. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 7/3/2021 at 2:24 am, Erwin Ical-Regaldado, 43, of Maryland was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following motor vehicle stop on the 300 blk of Front St. Mr. Ical-Regalado was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.
