On 7/31/2022 at 1:03 am, Hason Outland, 29, of Pennsylvania, was arrested for Contempt of Court following  a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Outland was found to have warrants out of Bridgewater, Scotch Plains, and Chester totaling $2,500. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after receiving new court dates. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 7/29/2022, Edgar Camossermeno, 33, of Dunellen was charged with Driving While Intoxicated following investigation into a serious motor vehicle crash on 6/11/2022 in which he struck a tree on Bound Brook Rd. A court appearance notice was mailed. Sgt. Jeffrey Delbuono investigated.

On 7/27/2022, Hemant Malhotra, 24, of Florida was charged with Theft following investigation into an incident reported on 3/24/2022 in which a Dunellen resident gave a scammer access to their online banking account and the sum of $4,000 was transferred from there into an account belonging to Mr. Malhotra. He was mailed a court appearance notice. Det. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 7/26/2022 at 1:44 pm, Johnny Delaney, 18, of New York was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension, after responding to Dunellen HQ attempting to retrieve a vehicle which had been impounded. It was determined that during a motor vehicle stop the day prior, Mr. Delaney had provided officers with a fictitious date of birth in order to avoid proper prosecution for multiple offenses. Mr. Delaney was processed and released with a court date. Ptlm. Manuel Santiago investigated.

On 7/25/2022 at 12:42 am, Elman Luna-Alvarado, 41, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave. He was brought to Green Brook and Dunellen HQ's for processing where he refused to provide samples of his breath. He was later released to a sober family member. Ptlml. Anthony Issler investigated.

On 7/19/2022 at 4:32 pm, patrol responded to a residence on Prospect Ave for the reported Heroin Overdose. The victim, a 52 year old male, became responsive after receiving two doses of Narcan. He then refused all further medical treatment, and in accordance with law, was provided with an additional courtesy dose of Narcan for future use. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 7/15/2022 at 12:24 pm, patrol responded to T-Mobile on South Washington Ave for the report of Shoplifting. Staff reported that a male had entered the store and asked for four different cell phones. Once placed on the counter, he distracted the employee by asking for another item, at which point he grabbed the phones and fled in such a hurry to a nearby waiting vehicle that he literally ran out of his shoe and left it behind. This case was forwarded to the Detective Bureau for follow-up. Ptlm. Brian O'Neill investigated.

On 7/10/2022 at 6:15 pm, patrol responded to the 600 blk of Front St. for the reported Stabbing. The caller dialed 9-1-1 to report that they had been stabbed and needed medical attention. Multiple officers responded and the caller was located, however it was determined that no such stabbing had taken place. The caller was transported to the hospital for an evaluation and this incident remains under investigation. Ptlm. Joe Dudley investigated.

On 7/10/2022 at 4:30 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Criminal Mischief. The reporting party stated that an unknown motorcyclist had punched and shattered her window for allegedly tailgating in a road-rage incident. Ptlm. Joe Dudley investigated.

On 7/10/2022 at 6:22 am, patrol responded to the 800 blk of First St. for the report of Simple Assault. The parties were explained the process for signing complaints with the court. Sgt. Brian Robbins investigated.

On 7/7/2022 at 11:43 pm, Kevin Chipantiza, 22, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop in which he was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Dunellen in the amount of $550. Mr. Chipantiza was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after posting bail. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 7/6/2022 at 12:07 pm, Raymond Meehan, 56, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court after being observed by patrol and known to have a no-bail warrant out of Elizabeth. He was brought to Dunellen PD for processing and transported to Elizabeth PD. Ptlm. Manuel Santiago investigated.

On 7/11/2022 at 3:22 am, Kayson Boyd, 33, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest after patrol was called to a fight on the 700 blk of Walnut. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 7/3/2022 at 5:34 pm, Calvin Scott, 53, of Somerville was arrested for Contempt of Court after patrol was called to Station Plaza for the report of an intoxicated individual. Mr. Scott was found to have warrants out of Rahway and Union totaling $1,750. He was additionally issued a borough ordinance for multiple open containers of alcohol. Mr. Scott was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing where he received new court dates and was later turned over to the Dunellen Rescue Squad for a medical evaluation. Ptlm. On 7/3/2022 at 12:08 am, Justin Young, 23, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court after being observed by patrol and known to have a no-bail warrant out of the Middlesex County Sheriff's Office. Mr. Young was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 7/2/2022 at 1:45 am, Jason Gibney, 51, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Possession of Narcotics (Crack Cocaine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave. Additionally, Mr. Gibney was found to have a warrant out of Dunellen in the amount of $750. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after posting bail and receiving a new court date. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 7/1/2022 at 8:43 pm, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Fourth St. for the report of Harassment. The victim reported receiving a string of harassing messages and was provided information on signing a complaint with the court. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 7/1/2022 at 12:28 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft. The victim reported fraudulent access to his banking account resulting in a loss of $15,000. Ptlm. Manuel Santiago investigated.
