On 6/30/2017 at 9:05 pm, Alex Unanka-Farquaharo, 25, of Piscataway was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on Madison Ave. Investigation revealed that Mr. Unanka-Farquaharo had an active warrant for his arrest out of Manalapan. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after posting bail. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 6/29/2017 at 9:54 pm, Jameel Lyles, 26, of Plainfield, and Brittnay Werner, 23, of Perth Amboy were arrested following a motor vehicle pursuit through Plainfield. Mr. Lyles fled a Dunellen officer's motor vehicle stop and tossed various narcotics out of the vehicle during the pursuit. He was charged with Eluding with Risk of Serious Injury, Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Crack Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Heroin with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Xanax, and (3) counts of Contempt of Court for outstanding warrants out of Clifton and Edison. Ms. Werner, a passenger in the vehicle, was arrested for Contempt of Court on an outstanding Perth Amboy warrant. Both were brought to Dunellen HQ for processing. Ms. Werner was turned over to Perth Amboy PD on their warrant. Mr. Lyles was brought to the Middlesex County Jail on the above charges. Ptlm. Nicholas Pepe investigated.

On 6/28/2017 at 9:31 pm, patrol on South Ave near the Piscataway and Middlesex borders attempted to stop a stolen vehicle driving erratically. The pursuit ended after approximately one mile in Middlesex Boro and the two male occupants fled on foot. Dunellen officers received assistance from Middlesex, Green Brook, and Piscataway Police, as well as K-9 officers from the Somerset County Sheriff's Office and NJ State Police, as well as NJ State Police Northstar Helicopter. The area was thoroughly checked but neither individual was located. This investigation remains open. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 6/28/2017 at 7:32 pm, Nestor Crespo, 45, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Possession of Heroin after patrol was called to a NJ Transit bus with a passenger under the influence of drugs. Several folds of heroin were located on his person. Mr. Crespo was released at the scene to medical staff for evaluation and he was issued a court date. Ptlm. Nicholas Pepe investigated.

On 6/28/2017 at 3:36 am, Christobal Avila, 26, of Plainfield, and Elson Casiano, 26, of Pennsylvania were arrested for Contempt of Court after patrol was called to a pair of disorderly persons at Quick Chek. Mr. Avila was found to have warrants out of Plainfield and South Plainfield while Mr. Casiano had warrants out of Spotswood and Atlantic City. Mr. Casiano was turned over to Plainfield PD on their warrant while Mr. Avila posted bail and was released after receiving new court dates. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 6/27/2017 at 1:31 am, patrol responded along with the Dunellen Fire Department to the 500 blk of Grove St. for a dumpster fire. Due to the close proximity to the previous fire, this incident is considered suspicious and remains under investigation.

On 6/27/2017 at 12:38 am, patrol responded along with the Dunellen Fire Department to the 200 blk of Walnut St for a leaf bag which had been set on fire. Witnesses observed two males light the fire and flee towards Plainfield. This case remains under investigation.

On 6/26/2017 at 9:13 am, patrol responded to the 100 blk of Second St for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that sometime during the overnight hours an unknown person had accessed their unlocked vehicle and rummaged through the contents, removing a set of keys from the vehicle. Security footage was obtained and a second nearby vehicle was found to have been unlawfully entered as well. Detective Brian O'Neill is investigating.

On 6/23/2017 at 7:14 pm, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Fairview Ave for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed her unlocked vehicle and rummaged through the contents but did not remove any items of value. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 6/23/2017 at 11:59 am, detectives responded to the 600 blk of Grove St. for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed her unlocked vehicle and removed several items of value. Det. Brian O'Neill investigated.

On 6/23/2017 at 7:38 am, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Fairview Ave for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that sometime during the overnight hours an unknown person had accessed her unlocked vehicle and rummaged through the contents. No items of value were removed. Sgt. Prescott Chin investigated.

On 6/23/2017 at 7:00 am, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Whittier Ave for the report of a Stolen Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that their vehicle, a Nissan Pathfinder, had been stolen during the night. Ptlm. Brian Robbins investigated.

On 6/23/2017 at 6:50 am, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Fairview Ave for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed her vehicle during the overnight hours and removed several items of value. Sgt. Prescott Chin investigated.

On 6/23/2017 at 5:26 am, patrol responded to the 600 blk of Grove St for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that sometime during the overnight hours an unknown person had accessed their unlocked vehicle and removed several items of value. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 6/22/2017 at 2:42 pm, patrol responded to the 800 blk of Second St for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that sometime during the overnight hours an unknown person had accessed their unlocked vehicle and rummaged through but did not remove any items. Ptlm. James Holovacko investigated.

On 6/22/2017 at 6:40 am, patrol responded to the 800 blk of Second St. for the report of a stolen vehicle. The victim reported that her vehicle, which was left unlocked with the keys in the vehicle had been removed sometime during the overnight hours. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 6/19/2017 at 11:23 pm, Robert Androshick Jr, 56, and Michael Kromphold, 50, both of Dunellen were arrested following investigation into an incident earlier in the evening. Both were charged with Simple Assault, and Mr. Kromphold was found to have an outstanding No Bail warrant from the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office. Mr. Androshick was released with a court date and Mr. Kromphold was transported to the Middlesex County Jail on the outstanding warrant. Ptlm. Daniel investigated.

On 6/19/2017 at 3:19 pm, patrol took a walk in report of damage to a bicycle lock while the property was secured at the Dunellen Train Station. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 6/17/2017 at 3:49 am, Sandra Castro, 29, of North Plainfield was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Ms. Castro was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 6/15/2017 at 11:21 pm, Michael Dunn, 58, of Georgia was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Rd. Mr. Dunn was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Sgt. Jeffrey DelBuono investigated.

On 6/15/2017 at 10:53 pm, Dion Edwards, 29, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 50g following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Edwards was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Ptlm. Nicholas Pepe investigated.

On 6/15/2017 at 12:49 am, Jasper Moss III, 26, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on Prospect Ave. Mr. Moss III was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Westfield. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to Westfield PD on their warrant. Ptlm. Nicholas Pepe investigated.

On 6/14/2017 at 11:23 pm, Michael Knight, 23, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave in which he was a passenger. Investigation revealed that Mr. Knight had an active warrant for his arrest out of Union Twp in the amount of $1,500. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to the Union Twp PD on their warrant. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 6/14/2017 at 6:04 pm, Christian Aguayo, 30, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Suspended for DWI following investigation into an incident on 5/7/2017. Mr. Aguayo was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 6/14/2017 at 4:35 pm, patrol took a walk-in report of fraud. The victim reported several unauthorized charges on their bank account totaling $1,518.07. Ptlm. Chistopher Lovell investigated.

On 6/12/2017 at 11:47 am, patrol responded to the 400 blk of Madison Ave for the report of a Burglary to a Vehicle. The victim stated that their vehicle had been left unlocked the previous evening and that an unknown person(s) had stolen two laptops valued at $250. Ptlm. James Holovacko investigated.

On 6/11/2017 at 11:15 pm, Christopher Bates Jr., 36, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop on the 400 blk of North Ave. Mr. Bates Jr. was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing where he refused to provide a breath sample. He was later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 6/10/2017 at 1:52 pm, patrol responded to the 500 blk of North Ave for the report of a bicycle theft. The victim stated that sometime between then and the previous day an unknown person(s) had removed the bicycle which was stored in the common area basement of the apartment building. Sgt. Prescott Chin investigated.

On 6/10/2017 at 5:17 am, patrol responded to Tipico's Olga on North Ave for the report of Criminal Mischief. Once again, the flowerpots outside of the store had been damaged, estimated at $100. Ptlm. Nicholas Pepe investigated.

On 6/7/2017 at 6:10 am, Philip Curren Jr., 63, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court following a pedestrian stop on North Ave as officers were investigating a separate incident. Mr. Curren Jr. was found to have warrants for his arrest out of Spotswood and Edison totaling $1,500. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to Spotswood Police on their warrant. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 6/7/2017 at 4:22 am, patrol responded to Tipico's Olga on North Ave for the report of Criminal Mischief. Investigation revealed that several large flowerpots in front of the business had been destroyed overnight causing damage estimated at $200. Security footage was obtained and this investigation is ongoing. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 6/6/2017 at 10:09 pm, patrol responded to the Dunellen Train Station for the report of property damage. The victim reported extensive damage to a bicycle which had been secured on the premises. Ptlm. Nicholas Pepe investigated.

On 6/6/2017 at 3:08 pm, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Center St for the report of an attempted burglary. Patrol located a small window which appeared to have unsuccessfully been tampered with in an attempt to gain entry to the home. Sgt. Chin investigated.

On 6/6/2017 at 9:19 am, patrol responded Family Dollar on North Ave for the report of Shoplifting. Employees reported that an unknown black male had entered the store and removed several items without paying. The value of the items was $25. Ptlm. Brian Robbins investigated.

On 6/5/2017 at 9:41 pm, patrol responded to Ray's Laundromat on Lincoln Ave for the report of an Armed Robbery. Employees reported that two unknown male suspects entered the store and displayed a black handgun. It was reported that the proceeds of the robbery were approximately $400. This case has been turned over to the Detective Bureau.

On 6/4/2017 at 2:19 am, Derrick Allen, 51, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Mr. Allen was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. On 6/3/2017 at 10:46 pm, a resident of the 300 blk of Front St reported several unauthorized charges on her bank account. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 6/3/2017 at 6:02 am, patrol responded to the 100 blk of Front St for an unresponsive person. Upon arrival, patrol located a deceased male surrounded by evidence heroin and narcotics paraphernalia. Investigation has been turned over to the Detective Bureau.

On 6/2/2017 at 9:49 pm, a resident of the 400 blk of Fairview Ave reported a residential burglary which took place earlier in the day. An unknown actor entered the dwelling and removed a laptop as well as a safe containing several vital documents. This incident remains under investigation. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 6/2/2017 at 11:04 am, Adam Smith, 33, of South Plainfield, and Syreeta Twine, 33, of Bound Brook were arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Smith was found to have an active warrant out of New Brunswick and Ms. Twine had warrants out of Union Twp and Old Bridge. Both were brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after receiving new court dates. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 6/2/2017 at 8:49 am, patrol took a walk in report of credit card fraud. This incident remains under investigation. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 6/1/2017 at 9:52 am, patrol responded to Chicken Holiday on North Ave for the report of Burglary which took place sometime the previous evening. Investigation revealed a window which was likely entered, as well as approximately $400 in missing currency as well as a stolen laptop computer. This case has been turned over to the Detective Bureau.

On 6/1/2017 at 5:11 am, patrol responded to Dunellen Bagel on North Ave for the report of a Burglary which took place sometime the previous evening. Investigation revealed that a rear door had been forced open and proceeds of approximately $400 in U.S. Currency had been removed from the store. This case has been turned over to the Detective Bureau.
