On 6/29/2022 at 1:41 pm, Brena Oneal, 58, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court after patrol was called to Quick Chek for a possible shoplifting incident. Ms. Oneal was found to have a warrant for her arrest out of Dunellen in the amount of $750. She was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later transported to the Middlesex County Jail. Ptlm. On 6/28/2022 at 12:56 pm, patrol responded to the 100 blk of North Ave for the reported Bicycle Theft. The victim reported that an unknown white male with long hair and a hat walked up the rear steps to their back deck and removed a 16 inch yellow and orange Trek brand bicycle before riding it away. Ptlm. Manuel Santiago investigated.

On 6/28/2022 at 1:01 am, Michael Peralta, 25, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Harassment following police response to an incident on the 600 blk of South Ave. Mr. Peralta was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 6/25/2022 at 11:32 pm, Steven Aaron, 63, of Middlesex was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct (2 cts) after patrol was called to a business with an open door after hours on the 100 blk of North Washington. Mr. Aaron was on location and became disorderly with responding patrol units. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance date. Ptlm. On 6/24/2022 at 8:02 am, the Dunellen Police Department responded to pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle at the intersection of North Washington and Rt 28. Patrol officers arrived on location, closed the roadway, and began to administer medical attention to the victim. A medevac was requested but unable to fly due to weather conditions. Patient care was transferred to ALS and BLS and the victim was transported to RWJ New Brunswick where they remain in serious condition.The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is fully cooperating with the investigation. The Dunellen Police Department Fatal Accident Reconstruction Team responded and will be continuing to investigate. On 6/19/2022 at 11:33 pm, Justin Young, 23, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court after being observed by patrol and known to have a warrant for his arrest out of Hazlet in the amount of $1,500. Mr.  Young was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to Hazlet PD. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 6/19/2022 at 7:37 pm, patrol responded to the 100 blk of Dunellen Ave for the report of Burglary and Criminal Mischief. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed her unlocked vehicle sometime during the previous day and rummaged through the contents. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 6/14/2022 at 3:38 pm, Nelvin Tovar, 27, and Michael Peralta, 25, both of Dunellen were arrested and charged with Harassment and Disorderly Conduct after patrol responded to an incident on the 600 blk of South Ave. Both were brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released with court appearance notices.

On 6/12/2022 at 2:06 am, Danilo Tiban-Criollo, 35, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Tiban-Criollo was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Anthony Issler investigated.

On 6/11/2022 at 8:57 am, patrol responded to a serious single car vs. tree accident on the 500 blk of North Ave. The operator was transported to the hospital and this accident remains under investigation by the Traffic Safety Division.

On 6/10/2022 at 12:45 am, Domingo Zuniga, 47, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Zuniga was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 6/8/2022 at 11:26 pm, Shamir Roscoe, 33, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Rd where Mr. Roscoe was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Scotch Plains in the amount of $750. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 6/6/2022 at 1:41 am, Donald Young, 38, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated after being observed by patrol, passed out behind the wheel in the parking lot of Quick Chek. Mr. Young was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 6/5/2022 at 10:46 pm, Armando Archila, 38, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on the 200 blk of North Ave. Mr. Archila was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 6/5/2022 at 1:11 pm, patrol responded to the 300 blk of North Ave for the reported Theft. The victim reported that she made arrangements via Facebook to sell an engagement ring valued at $1,500. The victim made contact with the other party, who promptly took the ring and ran off towards the Dunellen Train Station. This case remains open. Ptlm. Manuel Santiago investigated.
