On 3/31/2018 at 10:08 pm, patrol responded to the 600 blk of North Ave Ext for the report of Criminal Mischief. As a result of the investigation, Yandel Lleras, 28, of Dunellen was charged with Criminal Mischief and issued a court date. Carmen Llera-Escobar, 69, of Dunellen was charged with Hindering Apprehension of Another and issued a court date. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman and Ptlm. Brian Robbins investigated.

On 3/31/2018 at 1:34 am, Craig Mitchell, 49, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Mitchell was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Dunellen. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 3/29/2018 at 4:46 pm, Dereal Finklin, 43, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Defiant Trespass following response to an incident on the 200 blk of South Washington Ave. Mr. Finklin was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 3/28/2018 at 4:16 pm, Brenda Jaramillo, 21, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on Lincoln Ave. Ms. Jaramillo was found to have warrants out of South Plainfield and North Plainfield totaling $4,000. She was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to South Plainfield PD on their warrants. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 3/28/2018 at 3:11 pm, Matthew Suber, 27, of Hillsborough was arrested and charged with Theft, Hindering Apprehension, Falsely Incriminating Another, and Contempt of Court following investigation into an incident on 11/27/2017. Mr. Suber additionally had warrants out of Plainfield totaling $1,500. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 3/25/2018 at 1:20 am, Patricia Calvache, 41, of Middlesex was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle accident on the 100 blk of Dunellen Ave. Ms. Calvache was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober party. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated. 

On 3/24/2018 at 6:32 pm, patrol took a walk-in report of Credit Card Theft from a resident of Front St. The victim reported his card missing and believed that someone may have removed it from his apartment while asleep. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated. 

On 3/23/2018 at 8:35 pm, Juan Mendez, 34, of Bridgewater was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on the 200 blk of North Ave. He was found to have warrants out of Branchburg and Green Brook totaling $900. Mr. Mendez was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after posting bail. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated. 

On 3/23/2018 at 3:10 pm, Laura Miranda, 22, of Somerville was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on the 200 blk of North Ave. Ms. Miranda was found to have a warrant for her arrest out of Somerville. She was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after posting bail. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated. 

On 3/23/2018 at 9:52 am, Gregory Lewis, 58, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court following investigation into a separate incident where it was revealed that Mr. Lewis had an arrest warrant out of South Plainfield. Mr. Lewis was processed at Dunellen HQ and released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated. 

On 3/22/2018 at 10:48 pm, patrol took a walk-in report of Theft. The victim reported being unable to locate his wallet for the past few days, and since that time several fraudulent charges have appeared on his debit account. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated. 

On 3/19/2018 at 5:58 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Credit Card Fraud from a Dunellen resident. The victim reported fraudulent charges of approximately $1,000. This case remains open. Sgt. Christopher Beenders investigated. 

On 3/19/2018 at 11:35 am, patrol responded to the 400 blk of South Madison Ave for the report of a Suspicious Package. The homeowner reported a package that had been delivered but which they had not ordered. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated. 

On 3/19/2018 at 3:14 am, Ousman Swaray, 26, of Newark was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on the 700 blk of Bound Brook Rd. Mr. Swaray was found to have an active warrant for his arrest out of Newark. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. On 3/18/2018 at 11:46 pm, Jacinto Morel, 46, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on the 100 blk of North Ave. Mr. Morel was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 3/17/2018 at 11:43 pm, David Hoffman II, 24, of Edison was arrested for Contempt of Court and Fugitive From Justice following a motor vehicle stop in Green Brook. Mr. Hoffman was found to have an outstanding warrant from Dunellen and a No-Bail warrant from Pennsylvania. Mr. Hoffman was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 3/17/2018 at 10:42 pm, Jonathan Meyer, 19, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 50 Grams and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 counts) following a motor vehicle stop on Center St. Middlesex County Sheriff's Officer Kevin Mastroserio and K-9 Bryn assisted in the narcotics recovery. Mr. Meyer was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 3/16/2018 at 8:28 pm, Antwan James, 34, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave in which he was a passenger and not wearing a seatbelt. Mr. James provided officers with a false name during the stop. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 3/15/2018 at 7:75 am, patrol responded to the 200 blk of Lincoln Ave for the report of Criminal Mischief to a parked vehicle which occurred during the previous night. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 3/14/2018 at 10:34 pm, patrol responded to the 200 blk of Sanford Ave for the report of an individual trying door handles of parked cars. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 3/14/2018 at 10:35 pm, Alyssatroi Sadio-Laidler, 20, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on the 400 blk of North Ave. Ms. Sadio-Laidler was found to have an active warrant for her arrest out of Plainfield. She was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after posting bail. Ptlm. Brian Robbins investigated. 

On 3/14/2018 at 6:04 pm, Dunellen Patrol Officers Lovell and Daniel responded to several 911 calls regarding a male armed with a knife and causing a disturbance near North and Madison. Officers from Dunellen, Green Brook and Middlesex searched the area but were unable to locate him at the time. Officers were able to identify the individual based on video surveillance and the suspect was observed at Quick Chek later that evening. Officers Robbins and Rosofsky along with Sergeant Doherty responded and it determined that the male was still armed with the large knife and experiencing a psychiatric episode. Responding officers were able to successfully disarm the individual without resorting to physical force. He was then transported for a medical evaluation.

On 3/12/2018 at 4:40 pm, patrol took a walk-in report of Theft and Fraud from a Dunellen resident. The victim reported a loss of $2,979. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated. 

On 3/10/2018 at 5:37 pm, patrol took a walk-in report of a bicycle theft. The victim reported that his bicycle had been locked at the Dunellen Train Station and upon returning he found both the bicycle and lock to be missing. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated. 

On 3/9/2018 at 1:03 am, Shelton Diggs, 40, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension and Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on the 100 blk of North Ave in which he was a passenger and not wearing a seatbelt. Mr. Diggs provided the officer with a fictitious name to conceal a $500 warrant out of Watchung and a No-Bail warrant from the Union County Sheriff's Office. Mr. Diggs was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to the Union County Sheriff's Office. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 3/8/2018 at 1:55 pm, patrol responded t the 100 blk of New Market Rd. for the report of an Assault. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 3/8/2018 at 7:36 am, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Third St. for the report of a tree which had fallen on a parked vehicle. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 3/5/2018 at 10:02 am, patrol took a walk-in report of Harassment. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 3/2/2018 at 6:17 pm, patrol responded to Lehigh St. for the report of a tree which had fallen and caused damage to two homes. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 3/2/2018 at 5:00 pm, patrol responded to the 400 blk of North Ave for the report of a tree which had fallen on a parked vehicle. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 3/2/2018 at 3:08 pm, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Second St. for the report of a tree which had fallen into a house. Sgt. Prescott Chin investigated.

On 3/2/2018 at 3:01 pm, patrol responded to the 200 blk of Prospect Ave for the report of a tree which had fallen on a parked vehicle. Sgt. Prescott Chin investigated.
