On 5/31/2017, at 11:03 pm, patrol responded to Panda Restaurant on North Ave for the report of an Armed Robbery. Two unidentified black males brandishing handguns entered and left the store through the rear doors. This incident remains under investigation by the Detective Bureau. Ptlm. On 5/31/2017 at 5:56 pm, Etno Arias-Parada, 48, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on the 300 blk of First St. Mr. Arias-Parada was found to have an arrest warrant out of the Union County Sheriff's Office in the amount of $9,053 and was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to the Union County Sheriff's Office. On 5/30/2017 at 2:28 pm, Jefry Mesen-Mejias, 32, of New Brunswick was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on New Market Rd. Mr. Mesen-Mejias was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Woodbridge for $1,000. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after posting bail. Ptlm. On 5/29/2017 at 3:07 pm, Alexandri Lewis, 30, of Piscataway was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Ms. Lewis was found to have an active warrant for her arrest out of Plainfield. She was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after posting bail. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 5/28/2017 at 9:11 pm Salvador Lopez-Polanco, 25, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension following a motor vehicle stop on Prospect Avenue. Mr. Lopez-Polanco was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for traffic violations and fictitious plates. Further investigation determined he provided officers with a false name to conceal an outstanding warrant out of Plainfield. He was transported to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to the Plainfield Police Department. Ptlm. Nicholas Pepe investigated.

On 5/28/2017 at 2:12 pm Rodney Brewington, 54, of Dunellen was arrested for outstanding warrants following a motor vehicle accident on Grove Street. Patrol was in the area on an unrelated call for service when Mr. Brewington opened his car door, damaging a patrol vehicle parked nearby. Investigation determined Mr. Brewington had three outstanding warrants from Bound Brook, Plainfield, and Seaside Heights. He was transported to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with pending court appearances. Ptlm. Brian Robbins investigated.

On 5/27/2017 at 7:59 pm Thomas Thompson, 56, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle accident on Prospect Avenue. An accident investigation determined Mr. Thompson struck a parked vehicle and was intoxicated. He was transported to Dunellen HQ for processing where he was found to be four times the legal limit. Mr. Thompson was subsequently transported to Robert Wood Johnson Somerset for treatment. Ptlm. Nicholas Pepe investigated.

On 5/27/2017 at 1:47 pm, Taj Watkins, 25, and Tracy Watkins, 51, both of Piscataway were arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop. Taj Watkins was found to have warrants out of Plainfield, Piscataway, and Green Brook totaling $1,250, while Tracy Watkins had a warrant out of Union Twp. Both were transported to Dunellen HQ and were released after posting bail. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 5/27/2017 at 5:12 am, patrol responded to the 200 blk of Front St for the report of a stolen motor vehicle. Security footage revealed four unidentified black males breaking into and taking the vehicle just before 3 am. The car was later recovered in Edison and this incident remains under investigation by the Detective Bureau. Ptlm. Nicholas Pepe investigated.

On 5/27/2017 at 1:08 am Andre Brown, 24, of Irvington was placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant following a motor vehicle stop. Mr. Brown’s vehicle was stopped for failing to keep right. Further investigation determined he had an outstanding warrant out of Plainfield. He was transported to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to the Plainfield Police Department. Ptlm. Nicholas Pepe investigated.

On 5/25/2017 at 1:54 pm, Devon Stradford, 25, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension following a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Ave. Mr. Stradford initially provided a false name with a fictitious DOB. Upon revealing his true identity, 9 warrants were located for his arrest out of Elizabeth, Roselle Park, and Roselle Boro, totaling $4,347. Mr. Stradford was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to Roselle Park PD on their warrant. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 5/24/2017 at 2:07 pm, David Bumbera, 62, of Howell was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave for speeding. Mr. Bumbera was found to have warrants out of Tewksbury, Manchester, and Middletown totaling $1,750. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after posting bail. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 5/22/2017 at 3:04 pm, patrol took a walk in report of a phone theft from the Dunellen High School. The phone was eventually located when an unknown person attempted to sell it later in the day. The case remains under investigation by the Detective Bureau. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 5/20/2017 at 4:25 pm, Steven Niflis, 22, of Bridgewater was arrested for Contempt of Court after patrol was called to investigate a suspicious person on South Washington Ave. Mr. Niflis was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Dunellen. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a new court date. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 5/18/2017 at 10:51 pm, patrol responded to the Dunellen Train Station for the report of a medical emergency on the train. While on scene, patrol performed CPR before the victim was transferred to the Dunellen Rescue Squad for transport and a pulse was successfully regained. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman and Sgt. Jeffrey Delbuono responded.

On 5/17/2017 at 11:33 pm, Jamar Parillon, 31, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on Walnut St. Mr. Parillon was found to have several warrants for his arrest out of Piscataway. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. Nicholas Pepe investigated.

On 5/17/2017 at 7:17 am, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Front St for an unresponsive 18 year old female. Patrol observed signs of an opioid overdose and administered Narcan Naloxone. After several minutes the patient regained consciousness and was transported to the hospital for further evaluation. Ptlm. Brian Robbins, Ptlm. Christopher Lovell, and Sgt. Chin responded.

On 5/14/2017, Michael Kromphold, 50, of Dunellen was arrested on South Second Street when police served a no-bail contempt warrant issued by the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office. Mr. Kromphold was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later transported to the Middlesex County Jail. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 5/14/2017, patrol received multiple reports of unlocked vehicles on the 300-400 blocks of Whittier and Fairview Ave which had been unlawfully entered the previous night and burglarized. All residents are reminded to lock your vehicles.

On 5/13/2017 at 2:54 pm Frank McGlynn, 51, of Bridgewater was arrested for Contempt of Court while in the police lobby regarding a separate incident. Investigation found Mr. McGlynn had an outstanding warrant issued by the Union County Sheriffs Office. He was processed at Dunellen HQ and later turned over to the Union County Sheriffs Office. Ptlm. On 5/13/2017 at 2:38 am Mario Vargas, 45, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Leaving the Scene Of An Accident, and Failure to Report an Accident following a hit and run accident on Dunellen Ave. Patrol units developed a suspect vehicle which had left a license plate at the scene after the collision. A short time later officers located the suspect vehicle and found Mr. Vargas to be the operator. He was transported to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released pending a court appearance. Ptlm. On 5/12/2017 at 8:25 pm Gustavo Gaitan, 27, of Somerset was arrested and charged with Possession With Intent To Distribute CDS (Crack Cocaine), Possession of CDS, and Possession of CDS Near School Property following a motor vehicle stop on Dunellen Avenue. After being stopped for an equipment violation Mr. Gaitan was taken into custody for outstanding warrants issued by Plainfield and Mansfield Township. Officers then located a large sum of money on Mr. Gaitan's person and noticed several indicators of narcotics activity. Further investigation revealed Mr. Gaitan was in possession of a quantity of Crack Cocaine. He was transported to Dunellen HQ for processing and subsequently lodged at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center without incident. Ptlm. Nicholas Pepe investigated.

On 5/12/2017 at 5:48 pm, patrol took a report from Planet Chicken regarding stolen cooking grease. The value of the theft was reported at approximately $110. This case remains open. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 5/10/2017 at 2:02 am, Aaron Riggins, 26, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with possession of a synthetic CDS following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue. Investigation determined Mr. Riggins was in possession of a quantity of synthetic CDS after being stopped for driving without headlights. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a pending court appearance. Ptlm. Nicholas Pepe investigated.

On 5/8/2017 at 11:30 pm, Juan Aragon-Baldizon, 39, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Provide Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue. Mr. Aragon-Baldizon was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a pending court appearance. Ptlm. Nicholas Pepe investigated.

On 5/7/2017 at 6:04 pm, Sara Holt, 36, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Shoplifting following investigation into a shoplifting from Discount Liquors on North Ave on 4/24/2017. Ms. Holt was observed by officers who noted that she matched the surveillance footage from the incident and also happened to be wearing the same unique pants as when the offense was committed. Ms. Holt was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 5/7/2017 at 2:44 pm, Andre Thomas, 20, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Shoplifting after patrol was called to a shoplifting in progress at Family Dollar on North Ave. Mr. Thomas was located nearby and found to be in possession of stolen items from the store. He was taken into custody and brought to Dunellen HQ for processing. Several other warrants out of Union Twp, South Plainfield, Watchung, and Plainfield were located. Mr. Thomas was turned over to South Plainfield police on their warrant. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 5/7/2017 at 12:57 pm, Christian Aguayo, 30, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court after being observed by patrol and known to have an active warrant for his arrest. Mr. Aguayo had warrants out of Dunellen and Piscataway. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after posting bail. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 5/5/2017 at 4:30 pm, Robert Howard Jr, 53, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop at the Plainfield border. Mr. Howard Jr was found to have an outstanding warrant from Fairfield Twp. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after posting bail. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 5/4/2017 at 9:13 pm, Henry Walker III, 40, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court and further charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after a crack pipe was located on his person. Mr. Walker was stopped for an equipment violation on the bicycle he was operating and a warrant out of Piscataway was located for his arrest. Mr. Walker was transported to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to Piscataway Police on their warrant. Additionally Mr. Walker was charged with Receiving Stolen Property after investigation revealed that the $95.88 worth of frozen shrimp he was in possession from had just been stolen from the Acme in Middlesex. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 5/4/2017 at 12:10 am, patrol responded to the 500 blk of Bound Brook Rd for the report of a 53 year old unresponsive male. Patrol found the male not breathing and with no pulse, surrounded by evidence of heroin and cocaine use. CPR was administered as well as several doses of Narcan Naloxone and rounds of rescue breathing. Eventually the patient regained consciousness and was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman, Ptlm. Nicholas Pepe, and Sgt. Delbuono responded. 


On 5/3/2017 at 10:15 pm, Andre Robinson, 31, of South Bound Brook was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue. Investigation determined Mr. Robinson had an outstanding warrant out of Branchburg. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after posting bail. Ptlm. Nicholas Pepe investigated.

On 5/2/2017 at 3:51 pm, a Jackson Ave resident reported the theft of a child's stroller and plastic car, valued at $300.  The items were stolen from the resident's front porch and backyard.  Ptlm. DeAngelo investigated.

On 5/2/2017 at 5:30 pm, John Mclemore Jr., 47, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on Rock Avenue. Investigation determined Mr. Mclemore Jr. had an outstanding warrant out of Cranford. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after posting bail. Ptlm. Nicholas Pepe investigated.

On 5/1/2017 at 10:28 am, a Bound Brook Rd resident responded to HQ for a report of Credit Card Fraud in the amount of $700. Ptlm. DeAngelo investigated.
