On 5/30/2019 at 12:08 pm, patrol responded to Quick Chek on North Ave for the report of Shoplifting. Staff reported a juvenile female entering the store the day prior and stealing several items. This case remains open. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 5/29/2019 at 7:43 pm, patrol responded to the intersection of North and Washington for the report of a vehicle which had struck a building, causing significant damage, and then fled. With the assistance of Plainfield PD, they were able to locate the fleeing driver, identified as Guido Coydeleon, 33, of Plainfield. He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated in their jurisdiction. Several summonses were issued related to the incident in Dunellen. Sgt. Jeffrey DelBuono investigated.

On 5/29/2019 at 12:01 am, Marvin Ramos, 25, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension following a motor vehicle stop on the 300 blk of North Ave. Mr. Ramos gave officers a fictitious identity in order to avoid arrest for warrants out of South Plainfield and Clifton. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with new court dates. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 5/28/2019 at 7:03 am, patrol responded to the 100 blk of South Washington Ave for the report of Theft. The contractor at a construction site reported several items had been stolen. Sgt. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 5/28/2019 at 3:07 am, patrol investigated an unoccupied vehicle near the intersection of North and Washington displaying a significantly expired temporary registration. Investigation revealed the temp tag to be fraudulent and the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Plainfield several days earlier. The car was returned to it's owner. Ptlm. On 5/27/2019 at 10:36 pm, Fauzia Jaffer-Dianga, 30, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension and Possession of a Fraudulent ID Card following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave at the Plainfield border. Additionally she was found to have a warrant for arrest out of Plainfield. Ms. Jaffer-Dianga provided officers with a fictitious identity to conceal the warrant for her arrest. She was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with court appearance dates. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 5/24/2019 at 3:15 pm, patrol responded to Quick Chek on North Ave for the report of Shoplifting. Staff reported that a short while earlier, a small group of juveniles had entered the store and stole several items. This case remains open. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 5/23/2019 at 1:05 am, Irving Jenkins, 34, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on Dunellen Ave. Mr. Jenkins was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Norwood. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 5/22/2019 at 9:44 am, patrol took a walk-in report of Theft. The victim reported that they had left a laptop valued at $1200 outside of their residence several hours earlier and that it was no longer there. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 5/20/2019 at 8:44 am, patrol responded to Kennedy Ct. and recovered a vehicle which had been reported stolen out of North Plainfield. The vehicle was secured and returned to the owner. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 5/18/2019 at 12:50 pm, patrol took a walk-in report of Identity Theft from a Dunellen resident. Sgt. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 5/18/2019 at 6:54 am, patrol responded to Rock Ice on North Ave for the report of Criminal Mischief. The business reported that an unknown person had smashed the window to a tractor parked on the property. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 5/17/2019 at 7:49 pm, Gerry Williams, 58, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Mr. Williams was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Plainfield. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to Plainfield PD on their warrant. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 5/14/2019 at 3:54 pm, a 16 year old male juvenile was arrested and charged with Burglary and Disorderly Conduct following investigation into an incident on 4/18/2019. He was released after processing. Sgt. Prescott Chin investigated.

On 5/13/2019 at 12:31 am, Dorianne Barber, 26, of Newark was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension and False Reports after providing another person's information during a motor vehicle stop. Ms. Barber was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 5/12/2019 at 9:46 pm, Caroline Acosta, 28, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop in which she was a passenger. Ms. Acosta was found to have a warrant for her arrest out of Marlboro Twp. for $1,000. She was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to Marlboro Twp PD on their warrant. Ptlm. On 5/12/2019 at 7:51 pm, David Rosario, 24, of Piscataway was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Mr. Rosario was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Plainfield. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 5/10/2019 at 11:55 pm, Oscar Velasquez-Ramirez, 50, of North Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Rd. Mr. Velasquez-Ramirez was found to have No-Bail warrants out of Plainfield and South Plainfield. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to Plainfield PD on their warrants. On 5/9/2019 at 8:02 am, patrol responded to Quick Chek on North Ave for the report of Shoplifting. Staff reported that a female had entered the store and stolen several items. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 5/6/2019, Albert Waller Sr., 58, of Plainfield, was mailed a summons charging him with Theft of Movable Property following investigation into an incident on 3/28/2019 at Diane's O'Matic Wash. Mr. Waller was issued a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 5/6/2019 at 3:19 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Fraud. The victim reported that an unknown person had opened a Verizon account in their name with outstanding charges of over $2,500. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 5/6/2019 at 2:08 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Simple Assault. The victim reported being assaulted several days earlier. He was given information on signing a complaint with the court. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 5/6/2019 at 10:39 am, patrol located a vehicle parked on Pearl Pl which had been reported stolen out of Edison. The vehicle was secured and turned over to Edison PD. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.


On 5/4/2019 at 11:00 pm, Kayson Boyd, 29, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Boyd was found to have warrants for his arrest out of Dunellen and South Plainfield totaling $1,246. Mr. Boyd was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 5/4/2019 at 8:56 am, patrol responded to the 300 blk of North Ave for the report of Criminal Mischief. The business owner reported that an unknown person had knocked over several flower planters. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 5/3/2019 at 1:24 am, Jason Papatyi, 31, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct following police response to a 911 hangup. Mr. Papatyi was found to have warrants out of Somerville and the Somerset County Sheriff's Office totaling $30,504.34. Once in custody, Mr. Papatyi attempted to kick his way out of the patrol vehicle, causing damage. He was transported to Dunellen HQ for processing and later remanded to the Somerset County Jail on the Sheriff's Office warrant. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.
