On 5/31/2022, Rohit Garg, 35, of Hicksville, NY, was mailed a complaint summons charging him with Theft By Deception following investigation into a computer repair scam initially reported on 11/26/2021, in which he received $1,500 from the victim, a Dunellen resident. Det. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 5/30/2022 at 8:57 am, patrol responded to Quick Chek on North Ave for the reported Shoplifting. Staff reported that a black male wearing a red hat, black t-shirt and blue jeans stole a water and an orange juice (no pulp.) He then fled on foot towards Plainfield. Ptlm. Manuel Santiago investigated.

On 5/29/2022 at 1:26 am, Careem Smith, 47, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated after patrol response to the 200 blk of Front St. for the report of a vehicle in the caller's driveway repeatedly honking their horn. Ms. Smith was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend.

On 5/28/2022 at 5:41 pm, Nayely Orellana, 20, of Bound Brook was arrested and charged with Simple Assault, Disorderly Conduct, and Resisting Arrest for her action after patrol was called to the 300 blk of Front St. for a dispute. Ms. Orellana was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 5/27/2022 at 10:25 am, patrol responded to the 200 blk of Madison Ave. for the report of Illegal Dumping. The victim reported that he had contacted someone about receiving 3 dump trucks of clean fill dirt in his backyard. The next day he observed approximately 19 dump trucks full of dirt had been delivered. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 5/26/2022, Jarius Gillespie, 33, of Bound Brook was mailed a complaint summons for Disorderly Conduct Improper Behavior, Disorderly Conduct Offensive Language, and Criminal Mischief related to investigation into his actions at the Dunellen Public Library on 5/13/2022. Det. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 5/24/2022 at 5:28 pm, Andres Ciprian-Colaj, 38, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on the 200 blk of Front St. Mr. Ciprian-Colaj was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Piscataway in the amount of $550. He was brought to Dunellen HQ and released after posting bail. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 5/23/2022 at 5:49 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft. The victim stated that on 5/20/2022, someone had entered her apartment and stolen $2,025. Ptlm. Joe Dudley investigated.

On 5/22/2022 at 3:13 am, Alexis Alfaro-Gutierrez, 29, of Bound Brook was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Alfaro-Gutierrez was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing where he refused to provide breath samples and was later released to a sober friend. On 5/21/2022 at 12:13 am, Oscar Rivera-Chavarria, 30, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop on the 100 blk of North Ave. Mr. Rivera-Chavarria was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing where he refused to provide samples. He was later released to a sober family member. Sgt. Jeffrey Delbuono investigated.

On 5/19/2022 at 1:40 am, patrol responded to the 500 blk of Grove St. for the reported Heroin Overdose. Patrol administered Narcan Naloxone to the victim, a 39 year old male who was revived and refused further medical treatment. Ptlm. Anthony Issler investigated.

On 5/18/2022 at 3:22 pm, Adam Sylvester, 39, of Dunellen was issued a Borough Ordinance for Disorderly Conduct after confronting a vehicle he believed to be speeding on Prospect Ave and causing physical damage to it. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 5/15/2022 at 6:55 pm, Sgt. Robbins, Sgt. Lovell, Ptlm. Condus, Ptlm. Lowder, and Ptlm. Issler responded to the 100 blk of Front St. for the report of an individual armed with a knife, experiencing an episode of emotional disturbance. Upon arrival, the person barricaded themselves in a residence. Through various means, officers were able to take the person into protective custody without injuries, where they were then transported for a psychiatric evaluation. Ptlm. On 5/9/2022 at 2:40 pm, Kieante Lewis, 25, of Middlesex was arrested and charged with Theft after investigation revealed he had improperly obtained approximately $15,000 from a former employer. Mr. Lewis was released after receiving a court date. Det. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 5/9/2022 at 12:59 am, Sebastian Arevalo, 42, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on the 200 blk of Front St. Mr. Arevalo was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Green Brook in the amount of $750. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 5/8/2022 at 10:39 pm, Napoleon Chacon, 57, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop on the 100 blk of North Ave. Mr. Chacon was brought to Dunellen HQ where he refused to provide breath samples. He was issued a court date and released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 5/4/2022 at 4:21 pm, Raymond Zychlinski, 65, of Middlesex was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following police response to a hit and run motor vehicle accident on the 600 blk of Bound Brook Rd. Mr. Zychlinski was located nearby with his vehicle significantly damaged. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 5/4/2022 at 1:09 am, Alexis Quiroz-Suniga, 20, of New Brunswick was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on the 100 blk of Bound Brook Rd. Mr. Quiroz-Suniga was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 5/3/2022 at 1:08 pm, patrol responded to Diane's O'Matic Wash on North Ave for the report of Simple Assault. One of the patrons reported being assaulted by another. Ptlm. Brian O'Neill investigated.
