On 5/31/2021 at 12:56 am, Belkys Alberty, 53, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on the 600 blk of Bound Brook Rd. Ms. Alberty was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 5/30/2021 at 7:31 pm, patrol responded to the 300 blk of North Ave for the report of Criminal Mischief. The victim reported that both sides of their vehicle had been keyed. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 5/29/2021, Scott Hyle, 54, of Pennsylvania was charged with Harassment following a series of "welfare check" calls to the Dunellen Police Department for a Dunellen resident. Mr. Hyle has requested welfare checks dozens of times over the past several months at inconvenient times, with no legitimate reason for purposes of Harassment and disregarded the multiple warnings to stop. Mr. Hyle was mailed a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 5/29/2021 at 6:59 am, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Fourth St. for an activated Medical Alarm. After unsuccessful attempts to contact the victim, entry was forced to the home and the victim was subsequently located, unable to get up. Care was turned over to the Dunellen Rescue Squad. Ptlm. Daniel and Ptlm. Lowder responded.

On 5/28/2021 at 3:04 am, Jody Murillo, 35, of Hillsborough was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Rd. Ms. Murillo was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 5/24/2021 at 11:49 pm, Hermen Maldonado-Vicente, 28, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Prospect Ave. Mr. Maldonado-Vicente was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. On 5/23/2021 at 11:32 pm, Josue Arias, 29 of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Mr. Arias was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 5/23/2021 at 3:09 pm, patrol responded to the 200 blk of Penfield Pl for the reported Structure Fire. Patrol ensured the evacuation of all residents and assisted as the fire was extinguished with assistance from the Dunellen Fire Department along with Middlesex and Piscataway. Investigation was turned over to the Middlesex County Fire Marshal's Office.

On 5/23/2021 at 2:27 am, Pedro Menjivar-Lopez, 42, of South Bound Brook was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Rd. Mr. Menjivar-Lopez was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 5/21/2021 at 3:29 pm, patrol responded to the 100 blk of New Market Rd for the report of Simple Assault. The victim reported being assaulted by a known assailant at approximately 12:40 pm. Following investigation, a 14 year old male, oif Dunellen, was charged with Simple Assault. Ptlm. Brian O'Neill and Det. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 5/20/2021 at 6:48 pm, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Front St. for an apparent Drug Overdose. Patrol administered Narcan Naloxone and the victim regained consciousness. She then refused any further medical treatment and left the scene. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 5/20/2021 at 1:49 am, Edony Calderon-Gramajo, 42, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on the 100 blk of Front St. Mr. Calderon-Gramajo was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. On 5/19/2021 at 5:06 pm, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Lincoln Ave for the report of Burglary. The victim reported that an unknown person had entered their unlocked garage and stolen $50 worth of cigars. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 5/19/2021 at 12:22 am, Michael Nahaczewski, 37, of Mountainside was arrested and charged with Simple Assault. The victim reported seeing Mr. Nahaczewski pulling on car door handles in the area and attempted to confront him after pulling on the victim's own car door handle. Mr. Nahaczewski then allegedly punched the victim in the mouth. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 5/16/2021 at 2:51 pm, patrol responded to the report of Criminal Mischief on the 300 blk of Pulaski St. It was then observed that several buildings had been burglarized and the DPW Yard had been trespassed. Investigation has been forwarded to the Detective Bureau.

On 5/15/2021 at 12:22 am, Darwin Soloman-Morales, 28, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Mr. Soloman-Morales was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. On 5/14/2021 at 1:46 am, William Nelson, 39, of Middlesex was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Provide Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Rd. Mr. Nelson was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing where he refused to provide samples. He was later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 5/13/2021 at 12:21 pm, patrol took a walk-in report of Assault. The victim reported that they were involved in a road rage incident in which the other actor exited the vehicle and physically assaulted them. Following a thorough investigation, Francis Carter, 52, of Maryland was identified and charged with Simple Assault and Criminal Mischief. He was mailed a court appearance notice. Sgt. On 5/13/2021 at 12:44 am, Kevin Pena, 19, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Rd. Mr. Pena was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 5/9/2021 at 6:30 pm, Josephine Oerez, 37, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct after patrol was called to a residence on the 300 blk of Prospect Ave. Ms. Perez was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 5/9/2021 at 1:09 pm, patrol responded to the 100 blk of First St. for the report of a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was found to have been reported stolen out of Edison several days prior. The vehicle was secured and turned over to Edison PD. Sgt. John Doherty investigated.

On 5/8/2021 at 8:54 pm, John Ambrose, 25, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Eluding after patrol was called to South Second St. for the report of reckless ATV operation. Mr. Ambrose did attempt to flee but crashed into a parked patrol vehicle before being apprehended. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance notice. On 5/4/2021 at 7:44 pm, patrol responded to the 500 blk of Grove St. for a reported drug overdose. Patrol administered Narcan Naloxone and the individual regained consciousness. He was turned over to the Dunellen Rescue Squad for further treatment. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 5/4/2021 at 12:33 pm, patrol responded to the 500 blk of Madison Ave for the report of Criminal Mischief. The victim reported damage to her parked vehicle's side mirror. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 5/2/2021 at 7:11 pm, Fortes Ruben, 33, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct following police response to the report of a fight on the 300 blk of North Ave. Mr. Ruben was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated. 

On 5/1/2021 at 4:49 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Credit Card Theft. The victim reported that he believed he had lost his debit card while in Dunellen and since then fraudulent charges of $271 had appeared. Det. Nicholas Goldman investigated.
