On 11/28/2022 at 10:53 am, Milton Hutcherson, 65, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following police response to a motor vehicle crash on North Ave. Mr. Hutcherson was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of the Union County Sheriff's Office in the amount of $4,859. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to the Union County Sheriff's Office on their warrant. Ptlm. Manuel Santiago investigated.

On 11/27/2022 at 1:11 pm, Joel Herrera, 18, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave. During the stop, Mr. Herrera refused to identify himself and comply with basic commands. Upon officers attempting arrest, he then further physically resisted. Mr. Herrera was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance notice. Sgt. On 11/26/2022 at 8:38 pm, Owen Smith, 46, of Middlesex was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated after patrol responded to a motor vehicle crash at South Washington and West Fourth St. Mr. Smith was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober party. On 11/25/2022 at 12:57 am, Gustavo Chisag-Tubon, 35, of Newark was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave. Mr. Chisag-Tubon was brought to Dunellen and Green Brook HQ's for processing and later released to a sober party. On 11/24/2022 at 11:33 pm, Manuel Perez, 51, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a stop for a bicycle infraction. Mr. Perez was found to have warrants out of Green Brook and Monroe Twp. totaling $1,800. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to Monroe Twp. PD on their warrant. Ptlm. On 11/24/2022 at 3:19 am, patrol located a vehicle parked on the 100 blk of Front St. which had been stolen out of Franklin Twp. earlier in the evening. The vehicle was secured and returned to the owner. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 11/24/20232 at 1:44 am, Wilkinson Reyes, 35, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave. Mr. Reyes was found to have warrants for his arrest out of New Brunswick and Mountain Lakes totaling $1,550. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after receiving new court dates. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 11/23/2022, Hector Silva-Pena, 48, of Plainfield was charged with Theft following investigation into an incident on 10/29/2022 in which a mislaid wallet was taken from the parking lot of Tropical Supermarket. Mr. Silva-Pena was observed on surveillance footage taking the wallet containing the victim's identification and making no attempt to return the item. Mr. Silva-Pena was mailed a court appearance notice. Det. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 11/19/2022 at 7:58 am, Ismael Morales-Molina, 37, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Morales-Molina was found to have a warrant out of Dunellen in the amount of $550. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after posting bail. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 11/19/2022 at 2:19 am, Cristian Reyes-Rodriguez, 29, of Somerset was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Reyes-Rodriguez was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing where he refused to provide samples of his breath. After refusing to contact a sober ride, Mr. Reyes-Rodriguez was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Somerset for an evaluation. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 11/16/2022 at 7:54 pm, Giovanny Burgos-Diaz, 21, of Somerset was arrested and charged with Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct for his actions as officers were attempting to arrest him during a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave for an outstanding Green Brook warrant in the amount of $750. Mr. Burgos-Diaz was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to Green Brook PD on their warrant.

On 11/16/2022 at 4:38 pm, patrol responded to the 200 blk of Whittier Ave for the reported Theft. The victim reported that at 4:30 pm, a hispanic male wearing a blue jacket and gray jeans had entered the rear yard and stolen a bicycle valued at $200. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 11/15/2022 at 4:50 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Simple Assault. The victim wished to file a report for injuries sustained while playing a hockey game at Rock Ice on 11/11/2022. He was advised on the process for signing complaints. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 11/15/2022 at 3:29 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of a Stolen Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that they parked on North Ave, leaving the vehicle unlocked with the keys in the ignition while running errands. Upon returning 30 minutes later, the vehicle was gone. Through investigation by the Detective Bureau, the person taking the vehicle was identified and eventually located on 11/17 where it was determined to be a mistake and not criminal. A local mechanic was testing an almost identical vehicle to the one "stolen" and had stopped to run an errand parking nearby. Upon returning to the vehicle, he accidentally entered the nearly identical car (with keys left in the ignition) and took it back to the shop instead of the customer's car. The vehicle was returned to the reporting party and the mechanic's customer's vehicle was located still parked on North Ave. Det. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 11/12/2022 at 4:51 pm, patrol responded to the 100 blk of Front St. for the report of Simple Assault. The parties were spoken to and explained the process for signing criminal complaints. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 11/11/2022 at 3:12 am, Vicente Perez-Gonzalez, 32, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Mr. Perez-Gonzalez was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 11/9/2022 at 10:55 am, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft. The victim reported that since recently moving into an apartment on the 700 blk of Bound Brook Rd, several items have gone missing. Ptlm. Brian O'Neill investigated.

On 11/9/2022 at 10:24 pm, James Elam Jr., 56, of South Bound Brook was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on the 100 blk of North Ave. Mr. Elam Jr. was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Somerville in the amount of $1,000. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. Manuel Santiago investigated.

On 11/8/2022 at 9:31 am, patrol received a walk-in report of Fraud. The victim, a resident of the 700 blk of First St., reported receiving a scam phone call and providing information which resulted in the loss of $1,000. Ptlm. Joe Dudley investigated.

On 11/6/2022 at 6:58 pm, Wilson Ramirez-Serrano, 26, and Jefri Ramirez-Serrano, 32, were both arrested following a motor vehicle stop on the 500 blk of North Ave. Wilson was arrested for Contempt of Court for having a $550 warrant out of Dunellen and additionally charged with Hindering Apprehension for providing officers with a fictitious name to avoid arrest. Jefri was arrested for Contempt of Court for a warrant out of South Plainfield for $750. Both were brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after receiving new court dates. Ptlm. On 11/5/2022 at 6:19 am, Ronnie Davis, 64, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave. Mr. Davis was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Fanwood in the amount of $879. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. Manuel Santiago investigated.

On 11/4/2022 at 8:16 am, patrol responded to the 600 blk of Bound Brook Rd. for the report of a Burglary to a motor vehicle. Surveillance footage showed two unidentified males entering several unlocked vehicles at approximately 2:20 am. The only item of value taken was a portable bluetooth speaker. Ptlm. On 11/2/2022 at 6:32 pm, patrol responded to Columbia Park for the report of Criminal Mischief. The reporting party identified damages to a structure valued at $75. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 11/1/2022 at 12:39 pm, patrol responded to Knights of Columbus on Grove St. for the report of Illegal Dumping. Staff reported that an unknown female discarded several items on their property. Ptlm. Manuel Santiago investigated.
