november

On 11/29/2016 at 8:02 pm, a male responded to police headquarters to report an assault which occurred on South Second St. the previous night. The victim identified a suspect and photographs of the injuries were made. The victim was advised on the process of signing criminal complaints. Ptlm. Goldman investigated.

On 11/27/2016 at 4:01 pm, patrol responded to Park Ave for the report of criminal mischief to a vehicle. The victim reported that their tire had been slashed and that a witness had observed and knew the suspect. The victim was provided with information on signing a criminal complaint. Ptlm. Robbins investigated.

On 11/26/2016 at 9:04 pm Shyheim Jordan, 19, of Plainfield was placed under arrest and charged with Receiving Stolen Property following a motor vehicle stop on Front Street. Mr. Jordan was initially stopped for speeding when it was determined the vehicle had been reported stolen in Plainfield on 11/23/2016. Mr. Jordan was transported to headquarters where he was processed and subsequently lodged in Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in lieu of $10,000 bail. Sgt. Delbuono investigated 

On 11/26/2016 at 12:02 am Javier Solis, 35, of North Plainfield was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on South Avenue. Mr Solis was stopped for disregarding a traffic sign and was found to be intoxicated. He was transported to headquarters where he was processed and released to a sober party with a pending court appearance. Sgt. Delbuono investigated. 

On 11/22/2016 at 6:47 pm, patrol received a walk in report of a vehicle theft. The victim reported that sometime during the day her locked Nissan Pathfinder was stolen from the Dunellen Train Station. Ptlm. Daniel investigated.

On 11/21/2016 at 2:48 am, Jemal Kavtuashvili, 38, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, and Disorderly Conduct after officers were called to a 600 blk of Bound Brook Rd residence. During the investigation Mr. Kavtuashvili became highly combative with responding officers. He was placed under arrest and transported to Dunellen HQ for processing where he remained uncooperative. He was then transported to the Middlesex County Jail in lieu of bail set at $10,000. Sgt. Delbuono investigated.

On 11/21/2016 at 1:50 am, Lequan Jefferson, 27, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Investigation revealed that Mr. Jefferson had an arrest warrant out of Dunellen as well as a warrant out of Edison.  Mr. Jefferson was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with new court dates for both charges. Ptlm. Goldman investigated.

On 11/20/2016 at 4:26 pm, patrol responded to the 300 blk of North Ave for the report of a residential burglary which occurred earlier in the day. The victim reported that several items totaling $450 were removed from the unlocked residence during the day. Ptlm. DeAngelo investigated.

On 11/17/2016 at 11:41 pm Cornelius Chinemere, 28, of Plainfield was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Less Than 50 grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Dunellen Ave. Mr. Chinemere was stopped after disregarding a traffic signal. Investigation revealed a quantity of marijuana, metal grinder, and digital scale within the vehicle. Mr. Chinemere was transported to headquarters where he was processed and subsequently released with a pending court appearance. Ptlm. Pepe investigated

On 11/17/2016 at 11:21 am, patrol responded to Diane's O'Matic Laundromat for the report of an assault. It was discovered that two patrons engaged in a physical altercation regarding use of a washing machine on the premise after one patron removed the clothes of another from the machine and placed them on the floor. Both parties were advised on the process for signing criminal complaints. Ptlm. Lovell investigated.

On 11/16/2016 at 9:50 pm Honnie Graham Jr., 31, of Plainfield was placed under arrest for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on New Market Road. Mr. Graham was stopped after the vehicle he was operating had a malfunctioning headlight. He was later discovered to have eight arrest warrants from Edison, East Brunswick, Green Brook, New Brunswick, Bound Brook, and the Middlesex County Sheriffs Department totaling $9,348. Mr. Graham was transported to Dunellen Police headquarters where he was processed and subsequently turned over to the Middlesex County Sheriffs Department. Ptlm. Pepe investigated. 

On 11/16/2016 at 3:49 pm, patrol took a report of criminal mischief from a resident of the 200 blk of First St. The victim reported damages to a basement window. It did not appear that anything was stolen from the residence. Ptlm. Lovell investigated.

On 11/12/2016 at 3:09 pm, Latreisha Privott, 39, of Somerset was arrested for Contempt of Court after responding to Dunellen HQ for an unrelated matter and it was learned that Ms. Privott had an active arrest warrant out of South Plainfield.  Ms. Privott was processed and released with a new court date after posting bail. Ptlm. Robbins investigated. 

On 11/07/2016 at 6:45 am, William Navarro-Acuna, 22, of Somerville was arrested and charged with Resisting Arrest by Flight along with several other charges after patrol was called to the 700 blk of Bound Brook Rd for a suspicious person. A brief foot pursuit occurred and Mr. Navarro-Acuna was recovered nearby with assistance from Middlesex Boro and Green Brook Police Departments. Mr. Navarro-Acuna was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to the Middlesex County Jail on a no-bail warrant. Ptlm. Goldman investigated.

On 11/7/2016 at 1:58 am, Khalil Edwards, 23, of Plainfield was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Grove St. and charged with Hindering Apprehension, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Crack Cocaine, and 2 counts of Possession of CDS with Intent to Distribute. Additionally an active arrest warrant was located out of Watchung for $500. Mr. Edwards was transported to Dunellen HQ for processing. Bail was set at $10,000 with a 10% option and Mr. Edwards was released with a court date after posting bail on all charges.  Ptlm. Goldman investigated.

On 11/6/2016 at 9:40 pm, Yulia Panella, 22, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court after patrol was called to a suspicious vehicle on the 700 blk of Third St. Investigation revealed that Ms. Panella had a no-bail warrant for the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office, as well as a $1,000.00 Middlesex Borough warrant and a $1,000.00 South Plainfield warrant. Ms. Panella was transported to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office. Ptlm. Nierodzik investigated.

On 11/6/2016 at 1:36 am, Carlos Mejia, 30, of North Plainfield was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on the 100 blk of North Ave. Mr. 
Mejia was transported to Dunellen HQ for processing. Additionally he was charged with Hindering Apprehension for using the fraudulent name of Marvin Hernandez-Pineda throughout the booking process and even presenting a false identification card under this name. Mr. Mejia was released to a sober party with a court date. Ptlm. Nierodzik investigated.

On 11/5/2016 at 10:51 pm, patrol took a report of criminal mischief from a resident of the 300 blk of Third St. The victim reported that their vehicle had been egged several nights prior, causing roughly $1,500 in damages. There are no suspects at this time. Ptlm. DeAngelo investigated.

On 11/5/2016 at 9:03 pm, Sarina Eggleston-Spann, 24, of Plainfield, and Kyrayaha Fort, 20, of North Plainfield, were both arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Investigation revealed that Ms. Eggleston-Spann had multiple warrants out of South Plainfield totaling $2,000 and Ms. Fort had a warrant out of Clark for $300. Both were arrested and transported to Dunellen HQ for processing. They were released with new court dates after posting bail. Ptlm. Goldman investigated.

On 11/5/2016 at 2:17 am, Kevin Gonzalez-Stork, 22, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit to Breath Testing following a motor vehicle stop on the 300 blk of North Ave. Mr. Gonzalez-Stork was transported to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to a sober party with a court date. Sgt. Delbuono investigated.

On 11/5/2016 at 1:53 am, James Poandl, 20, of Metuchen was arrested and charged with Knowingly Possessing a Fraudulent Government ID Card in the form of a counterfeit South Carolina Driver's License following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave. Mr. Poandl was transported to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Ptlm. Goldman investigated.

On 11/2/2016 at 2:37 pm, patrol took a report of package theft from a resident of the 300 blk of Fairview Ave. They reported that an unknown person had removed two packages from their mailbox valued at $38. There are no suspects at this time. Ptlm. Robbins investigated.
