On 10/31/2020 at 11:28 pm, Carlos Valladares, 40, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on South Ave. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 10/31/2020 at 2:50 am, Gabriela Ortega-Molina, 19, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle accident on the 300 blk of Fourth St. Ms. Ortega-Molina was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated. 

On 10/31/2020 at 1:57 am, Seamus Flood, 41, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated after a motor vehicle stop for operating with no headlights. Mr. Flood was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Sgt. Brian Robbins investigated.

On 10/30/2020 at 12:55 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft. The victim, a resident of the 300 blk of Walnut St. reported that an unknown person had stolen two political signs from his front lawn. Sgt. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 10/29/2020 at 10:33 pm, patrol responded to Eight on The Break on North Ave for the reported Theft. The victim reported that an unknown male had removed from the premises a wallet which had fallen out of the victim's pocket. The incident was captured on surveillance footage and remains open. Ptlm. On 10/28/2020 at 7:47 pm, Brian Cahill, 57, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Theft of Services after staff at Zupko's reported that Mr. Cahill had ordered and consumed $54 worth of food and alcohol before refusing to pay. Additionally, warrants were located out of Dunellen and Long Hill totaling $1,100. Mr. Cahill was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail. Ptlm. On 10/24/2020 at 11:17 pm, Steven Shallis, 30, of Jersey City was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated after patrol response to First and Jackson for the report of a motor vehicle accident in which Mr. Shallis had struck a parked vehicle at a high rate of speed. Mr. Shallis was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 10/24/2020 at 10:52 pm, Jaylen Smith, 19, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after he was located with the item in his vehicle by patrol conducting an after-hours check of McCoy Park. Mr. Smith was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 10/24/2020 at 12:52 pm, patrol observed the Clerk's Office mailbox outside of Borough Hall had been smashed and the contents strewn about. Security footage observed a male several minutes earlier striking the box and causing the damage. This case remains open. Sgt. John Doherty investigated.

On 10/22/2020 at 7:25 pm, patrol received a walk-in report at HQ for a resident of the 200 blk of Jackson that had fallen for an online scam and sent an unknown person $2,500 in prepaid gift cards. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 10/22/2020 at 4:33 am, David Pellicier, 32, of Whiting was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples after improperly parking his vehicle in the Dunellen Police Department parking lot, specifically in the spot reserved for the Chief of Police. Mr. Pellicier was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing where he refused to provide breath samples. He was later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 10/21/2020 at 11:19 pm Luis Torres, 37, of Manville was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Warrenville Rd. Mr. Torres was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 10/21/2020 at 9:41 am, patrol responded to the 200 blk of Gertrude Terrace for the report of Criminal Mischief. The victim reported that during the overnight hours the back window to his parked vehicle had been smashed. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 10/20/2020 at 10:43 pm, as patrol was dispatched to a residence on the 100 blk of Prospect Ave for a disturbance. While responding, patrol officers heard a gunshot. Sgt. Delbuono, Ptlm. Goldman, Ptlm. Irons, and Ptlm. Green quickly responded and secured the scene, joined by officers from Green Brook and Piscataway. Seven individuals were arrested and brought to HQ for investigation. During the investigation, a .380 handgun was recovered. This case was forwarded to Det. Dudley for follow-up and charges are pending. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated. 

On 10/20/2020 at 8:07 pm, Melissa Lopez-Pineda, 21, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension following a motor vehicle stop on the 200 blk of North Ave in which she provided a fictitious name to avoid several motor vehicle summonses. Ms. Lopez-Pineda was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance date. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 10/20/2020 at 6:17 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Criminal Mischief from a resident of the 500 blk of North Ave. The victim reported that the cable lines on the outside of her residence had been maliciously cut. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 10/19/2020 at 10:36 pm, Samuel Ahern, 21, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (crackpipe), and Being Under the Influence of CDS after patrol responded to a single car accident on North Washington in which Mr. Ahern had struck a parking meter, light pole, and flipped his vehicle onto its side. The Dunellen Rescue Squad and Dunellen Fire Department assisted on scene. Mr. Ahern was then brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. On 10/19/2020 at 3:14 pm, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Oak Parkway for the report of Credit Card Fraud. The victim reported several fraudulent Amazon charges. This case remains open. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 10/19/2020 at 1:42 am, Edwin Gonzalez-Picon, 29, of Bound Brook was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension and Disorderly Conduct after he provided patrol with a fictitious name to avoid several borough ordinance violations. Mr. Gonzalez-Picon was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later transported to RWJ Somerset for a medical evaluation. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 10/17/2020 at 12:33 am, Maximo Garcia-Alonso, 40, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Garcia-Alonso was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 10/12/2020 at 5:21 pm, patrol responded to the 200 blk of Lincoln Ave for the report of Identity Theft. The victim wished to report that an unknown person had filed an unemployment benefits claim in their name. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 10/8/2020 at 2:21 pm, Queana Hamilton, 27, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Ms. Hamilton was found to have a warrant for her arrest out of South Plainfield. She was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 10/3/2020 at 2:27 am, Roberto Chavez-Mancheno, 34, of Warren was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving Suspended after Multiple DWI's, and Driving Suspended Multiple Times after DWI after patrol found him passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle which had struck a building on North Ave. Additionally, Mr. Chavez-Mancheno was found to have a no-bail warrant for his arrest out of the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 10/2/2020 at 10:13 pm, Brian Salazar, 27, of South Carolina was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Salazar was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Piscataway in the amount of $550. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after posting bail. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.
