On 10/31/2019 at 9:22 pm, patrol responded to the 100 blk of Madison Ave for the report of a Bicycle Theft. The victim reported that an unknown person had removed the unsecured bicycle valued at approximately $1,000. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 10/20/2019 at 2:51 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Fraudulent Checks. The victim, a Dunellen resident, reported being the victim of a scam and cashing several thousand dollars in fraudulent checks, as well as sending the scammers several thousand more. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 10/30/2019 at 1:58 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Fraud. The victim, a Dunellen resident, reported purchasing $400 in Ebay gift cards which were sent to a scammer. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 10/27/2019 at 8:59 pm, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Front St for the report of Cyber Harassment. The victim wished to document several recent incidents. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 10/26/2019 at 8:57 am, patrol responded to Quick Chek on North Ave for the report of Shoplifting which had occurred the night prior at 11:12 pm. Video showed a male placing $191.72 worth of merchandise into a gym bag and leaving without paying. Upon review of the footage, the suspect was identified as Barrick Wesley, 55, of Camden. A warrant was issued for his arrest. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 10/25/2019 at 8:31 pm, Brian Leighton, 31, of Piscataway was arrested for Contempt of Court after patrol responded to the 500 blk of South Ave for a motor vehicle accident. Mr. Leighton was found to have a no-bail warrant for his arrest out of Plainfield. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to Plainfield PD. Sgt. On 10/25/2019 at 5:09 pm, patrol responded to the 200 blk of North Ave for the report of a verbal dispute in the roadway. After speaking with both involved, they were explained the process for signing traffic complaints with the court. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 10/25/2019 at 4:34 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of a lost passport. The incident was documented. Sgt. John Doherty investigated.

On 10/25/2019 at 9:59 am, Deborah Walls, 69, and Ernest Shallo, 52, were arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop in the parking lot of Sun Power Gas. Ms. Walls had warrants for her arrest out of Woodbridge and Piscataway totaling $2,354. Mr. Shallo had warrants out of Plainfield and Piscataway totaling $1,243. Both were brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after receiving new court dates. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 10/20/2019 at 11:27 pm, Maria Tates, 31, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension following a motor vehicle stop in which she provided a  false name and date of birth in order to conceal a suspended driver's license. Ms. Tate was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 10/18/2019, Douglas Portik, 47, of Dunellen was charged with False Reports to Law Enforcement (4th Deg) following investigation into allegations received on 10/9/2019 which were found to have been fabricated. Mr. Portik was sent a court appearance notice. Sgt. Jeffrey Delbuono investigated.

On 10/15/2019 at 9:49 pm, patrol responded to Quick Chek on North Ave for the report of Shoplifting. Staff reported that they had confronted a black male wearing a black jacket and black pants, approximately 6 feet tall, whom had concealed at least (6) boxes of white castle cheeseburgers under his jacket. Upon being confronted he fled on a red bicycle west on North Ave. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 10/15/2019 at 2:28 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft. The victim reported mailing a check which was not received by the intended recipient and later cashed for a much larger amount. Sgt. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 10/15/2019 at 11:40 am, patrol received a walk-in report of a Dog Bite. The victim, a delivery driver, wished to report that he had been bitten by a dog on Jackson Ave on 10/10/2019. Sgt. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 10/14/2019 at 11:16 pm, Richard Zimmerman, 44, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave for speeding. Mr. Zimmerman was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing where he refused to provide samples. He was later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 10/14/2019, Terrell Alston Jr., 21, of Plainfield was charged with Receiving Stolen Property following investigation into an incident on 9/16/2019 in which he utilized a stolen credit card at Quick Chek. Mr. Alston Jr. was mailed a court appearance notice. Det. Joe Dudley investigated.

On 10/12/2019 at 10:15 pm, patrol responded to Seafood Boil on North Ave for the report of Theft. The business reported a large group which left after paying only a small portion of their tab, leaving an outstanding balance of $110.89. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 10/12/2019 at 11:27 am, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Third St. for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed the vehicle during the previous night and removed a backpack, change, and knitting supplies. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 10/12/2019 at 9:38 am, patrol responded to the 400 blk of Fourth St. for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed their unlocked vehicle at 3:35 am, based on review of security footage, and removed (2) pairs of sunglasses valued at $230. Ptlm. On 10/12/2019 at 3:41 am, Daniel Mora, 20, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following response to a crash on South Ave in which Mr. Mora struck a parked vehicle. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. Sgt. Jeffrey Delbuono investigated.

On 10/11/2019 at 3:13 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Identity Theft. The victim, a resident of the 500 blk of South Ave, reported that an unknown person had opened a Verizon account in his name. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 10/11/2019 at 11:06 am, patrol received a walk-in report of a lost driver's license. The victim reported losing her license while jogging on the 200 blk of North Ave. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 10/7/2019 at 8:56 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft. The victim reported that he had set down his wallet containing his driver's license and credit card at Columbia Park while working out. When he returned, the wallet was gone. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 10/7/2019 at 5:59 pm, patrol responded to Lehigh St. for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that she had left her vehicle unlocked with the key in the center console. An unknown person had accessed the vehicle the night before and removed the key. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 10/7/2019 at 5:28 pm, patrol responded to Lehigh St. for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed her unlocked vehicle the night prior and removed a purse containing $57 in U.S. Currency as well as several debit and credit cards. The victim further reported several fraudulent charges on those cards. This case was forwarded to the Detective Bureau. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 10/7/2019 at 5:24 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim, a resident of the 300 blk of Fairview Ave, reported that an unknown person had accessed her unlocked vehicle the night prior and removed several gold rings valued at $1,000. Sgt. John Doherty investigated.

On 10/7/2019 at 11:31 am, Thomas Philbin, 33, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court after patrol received a tip that he was in the area and had a no-bail warrant for his arrest out of Dunellen. Mr. Philbin was apprehended without incident and remanded to the Middlesex County Jail. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 10/6/2019 at 5:13 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Bicycle Theft. The victim, a resident of the 600 blk of Front St. reported that an unknown person had removed a bicycle from the backyard. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 10/5/2019 at 2:01 pm, Bernard Washington, 51, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property following a motor vehicle stop on Walnut St. Mr. Washington was operating a vehicle that was recently reported stolen and the car contained recent shoplifting proceeds from an incident in Middlesex. Mr. Washington was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 10/5/2019 at 1:08 am, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Walnut St. for the report of Criminal Mischief. The victim reported that her property had been egged several times now. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 10/5/2019 at 12:45 am, Jose Lopez-Castro, 33, of Maryland was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Lopez-Castro was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.
