On 9/30/2018 at 11:31 pm, John Mortarulo, 55, of Dunellen, and Rebecca Brazil, 45, of Scotch Plains were arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on Prospect Ave. Mr. Mortarulo was found to have a warrant out of Dunellen and Ms. Brazil had a warrant out of Plainfield. Both were brought to Dunellen HQ for processing. Mr. Mortarulo was released after posting bail and Mr. Brazil was turned over to the Plainfield Police Dept. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 9/29/2018 at 10:01 pm, Salvador Rivera-Santos, 42, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Rivera-Santos was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of North Plainfield. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 9/29/2018 at 1:51 am, Hector Diaz-Rojas, 29, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on the 200 blk of Front St. Mr. Diaz-Rojas was found to have an active warrant for his arrest out of Plainfield. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after posting bail. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 9/28/2018 at 12:49 am, Ernest Robinson, 63, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Mr. Robinson was brought to Green Brook HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. On 9/27/2018 at 1:17 pm, patrol rook a walk-in report of Harassment from a Dunellen resident. The victim reported a series of on-going harassment. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 9/26/2018 at 4:40 pm, patrol took a walk-in report of Theft from a Dunellen resident. The victim reported that an unknown person had stolen her cable box several weeks earlier. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 9/22/2018 at 6:26 pm, patrol responded to the 100 blk of Front St. for the report of attempted Arson to a garage. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 9/22/2018 at 2:05 pm, patrol responded to Diane's Laundromat on North Ave for the report of a Theft. The victim wished to report that an unknown person had taken her fabric softener. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 9/22/2018 at 1:46 am, Brian Wirt, 26, of Iselin was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Mr. Wirt was brought to Green Brook and Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. On 9/21/2018 at 6:40 pm, Juan Veliz-Flores, 41, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Mr. Veliz-Flores was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. On 9/19/2018 at 10:42 am, patrol responded tot he 500 blk of Mountainview Terrace for a Theft report. The victim reported that several checks issued and mailed were cashed by an unknown person. The total value stolen was $2660.47. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 9/18/2018 at 8:35 pm, Charles Luciano-Ballester, 57, of Dunellen was charged with Disorderly Conduct after police were called to an incident at 30 Burgers after Mr. Luciano-Ballester was alleged to have exposed himself in the establishment. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later transported to Robert Wood Johnson Somerset for a medical evaluation. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 9/18/2018 at 10:45 am, Rodney Knight, 39, of Elizabeth was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Mr. Knight was found to have warrants out of Edison, Woodbridge, and the Union County Sheriff's Office totaling $17,151. Mr. Knight was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to the Union County Sheriff's Office on their warrant. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 9/17/2018 at 1:10 am, Jessica Healey, 38, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop on Walnut St. Ms. Healey was brought to Middlesex PD for processing and later released to a sober family member. On 9/15/2018 at 6:46 am, Sahir Scott, 26, of Piscataway was arrested for Criminal Trespass following a call to police on Whittier Ave. The caller reported entering her vehicle and beginning to drive off before noticing Mr. Scott in the rear seat of her vehicle which had apparently been left unlocked. When she pulled over to call police, Mr. Scott fled the car but was quickly located by patrol. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Ptlm. On 9/14/2018 at 10:29 pm, Jamarr Jackson, 37, and Alquon Burgess, 32, both of Paterson were arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave. Mr. Johnson was found to have warrants out of Piscataway and Fair Lawn while Mr. Burgess had a warrant out of South Bound Brook. Both were brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after posting bail and receiving new court dates. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 9/14/2018 at 6:21 pm, patrol received walk-in report of Credit Card Fraud from a Dunellen resident. The victim reported $548 in fraudulent charges. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 9/14/2018 at 7:50 am, patrol responded to the 200 blk of South Madison Ave for the report of Criminal Mischief. The caller reported that she had located a softball jammed in the drainpipe of her sump pump which had caused it to flood the basement. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 9/13/2018 at 12:35 pm, Revaz Nebieridze, 27, of Raritan was arrested and charged with Forgery following a motor vehicle stop on the 200 blk of North Ave. Mr. Nebieridze was operating a vehicle displaying a fraudulent temporary registration. Additionally he was found to have warrants for his arrest out of Hillside and South Bound Brook totaling $1,550. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after posting bail and receiving new court dates. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 9/13/2018 at 9:20 am, patrol responded to the 200 blk of Penfield Pl for the reported Theft of Services. The victim reported hiring a contractor for a remodel which was never finished. Ptlm. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 9/10/2018 at 6:56 am, patrol received a walk-in report of Criminal Mischief. The victim reported scratches upon his vehicle which had been parked on the 300 blk of North Ave. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 9/9/2018 at 11:15 am, Jerome Lewis, 27, of Pennsylvania was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on the 100 blk of North Ave. Mr. Lewis was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Greenbrook in the amount of $750. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to Greenbrook PD on their warrant. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 9/7/2018 at 2:30 pm, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Front St. for the report of a Burglary to a residence. The victim returned from vacation to find that an unknown person had forced entry to the rear door and ransacked the apartment, stealing several items of value. This case remains open. Ptlm. On 9/6/2018 at 11:04 pm, John Mortarulo, 55, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on Prospect Ave. Mr. Mortarulo was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Hunterdon County in the amount of $10,843. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later remanded to the Somerset County Jail. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 9/5/2018 at 6:41 pm, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Bound Brook Rd for the report of a Burglary to a residence. The victim reported that an unknown person had entered his apartment via the bathroom window and stolen a laptop, tablet, and check book. This case remains open. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 9/4/2018 at 11:50 pm, patrol on the 300 blk of Dunellen Ave received an Automatic License Plate Reader notification for a vehicle parked nearby indicating that it was stolen. The vehicle was confirmed to be stolen out of Middlesex and Middlesex Police responded to secure the car. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 9/4/2018 at 3:23 pm, patrol responded to the 800 blk of Front St. for the report of a Buglary to a motor vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed his vehicle and damaged the steering column, dashboard, and gear selector. This investigation remains open. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 9/4/2018 at 3:08 pm, Thomas Campbell, 55, of Piscataway was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on West Fourth St. Mr. Campbell, a passenger in the vehicle not wearing a seatbelt, was found to have an active warrant out of Piscataway. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 9/4/2018 at 1:15 p,, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Dunellen Ave for the report of a Burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed his parked vehicle and caused damage to the steering column. This investigation remains open. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On /3/2018 at 5:41 pm, patrol responded to the 100 blk of Front St for the report of a Burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim reported that someone had accessed his vehicle and attempted to remove the radio. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 9/3/2018 at 9:09 am, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Front St. for the report of a Burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed his vehicle, breaking open the steering column and exposing wires. This investigation remains open. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 9/3/2018 at 2:26 am, patrol responded to Columbia Park for the report of a fire near the baseball field. Officers located a 3-foot in diameter circle of grass on fire and extinguished it. The scene was later turned over to the Dunellen Fire Department. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 9/3/2018 at 1:18 am, patrol responded to the 800 blk of First St for the report of a Burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim reported that a family member had come outside and noticed movement inside of her vehicle. He opened the passenger side door and two persons fled from the vehicle, leaving behind several of their belongings and tools. The unknown persons were in the process of tearing open the steering column and stripping wires in an attempt to steal the vehicle. This investigation remains ongoing. Ptlm. On 9/1/2018 at 11:33 pm, Shabyne Williams, 34, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Obstructing the Administration of Law, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 cts) following a motor vehicle stop at Sun Power Gas. Mr. Williams was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Middlesex County Sheriff's Officer Kevin Mastroserio and Narotics Detection K-9 Bryn assisted. Ptlm. On 9/1/2018 at 10:15 pm, Steven Niflis, 23, of Bridgewater was charged with Criminal Mischief and Disorderly Conduct after patrol responded to 8 on The Break on North Ave for the report of a person whom had punched out a window at the arcade. Mr. Niflis fled on foot prior to police arrival but was recognized by officers from surveillance footage and charged. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 9/1/2018 at 11:57 am, patrol received a walk in report of a Suspicious Incident. The victim, a Dunellen resident, reported that an unknown person had contacted his cell phone provider and authorized transfer of his phone numbers to a new account and that the victim no longer had access to his number. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 9/1/2018 at 11:43 am, patrol responded to the 200 blk of Second St. for the report of a Burglary to a motor vehicle and Theft. The victim reported that an unknown person had entered her vehicle, and caused damage to the ignition. Additionally, two credit cards and some small change were also stolen. The credit cards were later recovered in the possession of the same suspect from the prior incident and investigation remains ongoing. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 9/1/2018 at 8:57 am, patrol responded to the 400 blk of North Washington Ave for the report of a Burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had recently accessed her Mazda and once inside caused damage to the steering column, wiring, and ignition in an attempt to steal the vehicle. Later investigation provided a clear view of the suspect from surveillance footage and investigation remains ongoing. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.
