On 9/28/2016 at 7:21 pm, Branislav Vasiljevic, 32, of Somerville was arrested and charged with Operating While Suspended for a 2nd DWI following investigation into a previous traffic stop. Mr. Vasiljevic was processed and released with a court date. Ptlm. Nierodzik investigated.

On 9/28/2016 at 4:29 am, patrol responded to the 1800 blk of West Fourth St. for the reported burglary to a motor vehicle. The caller reported two unknown black males smashing a car window and fleeing in a white Dodge Challenger. A GPS unit was reportedly taken from the vehicle.  Ptlm. Pepe investigated.

On 9/27/2016 at 12:21 pm, patrol responded to the 400 blk of S Madison Ave for the reported package theft. The victim(s) reported that while they were away for several days an unknown person removed their mail as well as a package valued at $26. Ptlm. Nierodzik investigated.

On 9/27/2016 at 2:50 pm, patrol responded to Lincoln Middle School for the reported theft of a leaf blower. Surveillance footage showed an unknown white male wearing a gray shirt and blue pants removing a leaf blower from the side of the school. Ptlm. Nierodzik investigated.

On 9/27/2016 at 9:46 am, Jose Castro, 53, of Piscataway was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on Madison Ave. Investigation revealed that Mr. Castro had a warrant for his arrest out of Springfield in the amount of $1,500. Mr. Castro arrested and transported to Dunellen HQ for processing and was released after posting bail. Ptlm. Goldman investigated.

On 9/25/2016 at 2:33 pm, Qula Patterson, 36, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Possession of Under 50 Grams of Marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on West Fourth St. Mr. Patterson was arrested and transported to Dunellen HQ for processing. After processing Mr. Patterson was released with a court date. Ptlm. Goldman investigated.

On 9/24/2016 at 7:10 am, patrol responded to the 500 blk of North Ave for the report of a stolen motor vehicle. The victim reported that sometime the previous night his Honda Civic was stolen from in front of his residence. On 10/1/2016 Middlesex Borough Police recovered the stolen car parked in their jurisdiction. Ptlm. DeAngelo investigated.

On 9/23/2016 at 7:17 pm, patrol received a walk in report of a package theft from the 300 blk of Sanford Ave. The approximate value of the loss was $50. Sgt. Doherty investigated.

On 9/22/2016 at 4:34 am Dante Purdue, 24, of Scotch Plains was placed under arrest and charged with Criminal Mischief. Patrol was initially called to a Prospect Avenue residence for a dispute between friends. Investigation determined Mr. Purdue smashed his friends apartment window following a verbal argument and then fled the scene. Patrol was able to locate Mr. Purdue a short distance away and place him under arrest. He was processed, photographed and subsequently released with a pending court appearance. Ptlm. On 9/22/2016 at 12:19 am, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Front St. for the report of a male making threats on social media. Patrol determined that there was no immediate threat. This case has been referred to the Detective Bureau. Ptlm. Pepe investigated.

On 9/20/2016 at 12:29 am, Eric Baker, 31, of Kendall Park was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave. Investigation revealed that Mr. Baker had an active warrant for his arrest in the amount of $500 out of New Brunswick. Mr. Baker was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and was released after posting bond. Ptlm. Goldman investigated.

On 9/18/2016 at 12:18 hrs, patrol responded to the 200 blk of South Washington Ave for the reported Armed Robbery. The victim stated that he had been approached by two males earlier in the evening after leaving Sun Power Gas and robbed at knifepoint. This case has been referred to the Detective Bureau. Ptlm. Daniel investigated.

On 9/16/2016 at 11:06 pm, patrol responded to Zupko's Tavern for the report of a purse theft. The victim stated that an unknown person had removed her purse from the counter while it was unattended. Later obtained surveillance footage showed a heavy set Hispanic female removing the purse and exiting the bar. This case has been referred to the Detective Bureau. Ptlm. Pepe investigated.

On 9/16/2016 at 6:38 pm, patrol responded to the 300 blk of High St. for the reported theft. The victim reported that sometime during the previous year an unknown person had removed a lawnmower and chainsaw from his shed. Sgt. Chin investigated.

On 9/15/2016 at 7:03 pm, patrol received a report of a bicycle theft which had occurred earlier in the day at Columbia Park. A witness to the crime gave a sworn statement identifying the juvenile who allegedly committed the crime. A juvenile complaint has been filed in this matter. Ptlm. Goldman investigated.

On 9/14/2016 at 2:50 am Jordan Casey, 18, of Kendall Park was placed under arrest and charged with Eluding, Resisting Arrest, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of Weapon For Unlawful Purpose, Possession of Less Than 50 Grams of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Patrol units observed a vehicle displaying fictitious plates and driving recklessly at a high rate of speed on New Market Road. As the officer attempted to stop the vehicle it increased its speed and began to flee. A motor vehicle pursuit led into Piscataway Townshp where Mr. Casey crashed into a residential home and fled on foot with a second suspect. Dunellen Police units were able to apprehend Mr. Casey a short distance away without further incident. Two black handgun style BB guns were located within the suspect vehicle along with drug paraphernalia. Mr. Casey was fingerprinted, processed, and subsequently lodged at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in lieu of $25,000 bail. Ptlm. Pepe investigated 

On 9/13/2016 at 7:57 pm Lindsey Geschwindner, 40, of North Brunswick was placed under arrest for Contempt of Court following a report of suspicious persons behind a North Avenue business. After patrol made contact with Ms. Geschwindner it was determined she had a no bail warrant from the Middlesex County Sheriffs Department along with a second warrant for $183 out of Plainfield. Ms. Geschwindner was processed, photographed and subsequently turned over to the Middlesex County Sheriffs Department. Ptlm. Daniel investigated

On 9/12/2016 at 9:32 am Siarhei Sekh, 39, of Brooklyn, NY was placed under arrest and charged with Exhibiting a Fraudulent Drivers License following a motor vehicle stop on Washington Ave. Mr. Sekh provided officers with a fraudulent drivers license from Belarus after being stopped for having a smashed out rear windshield and no registration. He was fingerprinted, processed, and subsequently transported to Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in lieu of $10,000 bail. Ptlm. Robbins investigated. 

On 9/10/2016 at 8:31 pm, Christopher DiIorio, 31, of Clark was arrested and charged with Theft by Deception, Forgery, and Criminal Conspiracy following an investigation into stolen checks from a Dunellen resident. Mr. DiIorio was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later brought the Middlesex County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail. Ptlm. Goldman investigated.

On 9/8/2016 at 3:55 pm, patrol responded to the Dunellen Public Library for the reported theft. The victim reported that he had left his laptop unattended for approximately two hours, during which time it was stolen. Ptlm. Robbins investigated.

On 9/5/2016 at 11:18 am, Mark Dubecky, 45, of Bound Brook was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after patrol was called to a theft in progress of a bicycle from the 400 block of Prospect Ave. Mr. Dubecky was observed with the stolen bicycle and placed under arrest. He was transported to police headquarters for processing and later released with a court date. Ptlm. Holovacko investigated.

On 9/4/2016 at 8:54 am Michael Kromphold, 49, of Dunellen was placed under arrest and charged with Shoplifting following a brief investigation. Patrol units determined Mr. Kromphold stole a quantity of meat from a North Avenue business on 9/3/2016 after security footage captured the incident. Mr. Kromphold was fingerprinted, processed, and subsequently lodged in Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in lieu of $1,000 bail. Ptlm. Robbins investigated.

On 9/3/2016 at 11:50 pm Michael Schmidt, 48, of Dunellen and John Campbell, 49, of Dunellen were placed under arrest and charged with Burglary, Conspiracy to Commit Burglary, Criminal Trespass, and Criminal Mischief. Patrol units were dispatched to a Dunellen Ave residence on the report of suspicious persons. Investigation determined Mr. Schmidt and Mr. Campbell forcibly attempted to gain entry into a residence they did not live at, damaging a door frame and screens in the process. They were fingerprinted, processed, and subsequently lodged in the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in lieu of $15,000 bail. Ptlm. Pepe investigated.

On 9/2/2016 at 9:02 pm Darion Avrette, 50, of Plainfield was placed under arrest for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop in the Skinner Plaza lot. Investigation revealed Mr. Avrette had a no bail warrant out of Somerset County. He was processed, photographed and subsequently turned over to the Somerset County Sheriffs Department. Ptlm. Pepe investigated.

On 9/1/2016 at 8:16 pm, Marcene Granata, 65, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples after a concerned citizen reported erratic operation of a motor vehicle by Ms. Granata and the citizen was attempting to stop further operation as Ms. Granata was attempting to drive again. Ms. Granata was arrested after an investigation by patrol. She was transported to headquarters for processing and later released to a sober party. Ptlm. Goldman investigated.

On 9/1/2016 at 1:43 pm Lasney Patterson, 18, of Plainfield, a 17 year old juvenile from Bound Brook, a 16 year old juvenile from Plainfield and a 15 year old juvenile from Plainfield were all placed under arrest and charged with Receiving Stolen Property. Patrol units were initially called to investigate a male that was having a medical emergency inside a vehicle on Dunellen Ave. Further investigation determined the vehicle was stolen out of Piscataway Township and that it nearly collided with a telephone pole after the driver had a seizure. One juvenile passenger rendered aid to the seizing driver while Ms. Patterson and a second passenger fled the scene in the stolen vehicle.  Dunellen Police units were able to apprehend all four suspects shortly thereafter. With the assistance from the Green Brook Police Department the vehicle was located and returned to its owner. All suspects were released with pending court appearances. Ptlm. Pepe and Sgt. On 9/1/2016 at 1:34 pm, the Detective Bureau received report of a stolen motor vehicle from the 200 blk of Gertrude Terrace. The victim reported that sometime the previous night her Dodge Durango was removed from her driveway. Det. Dudley investigated.
