On 9/30/2020 at 8:56 pm, patrol responded to a residence on the 400 blk of Fourth St. for the report of Criminal Mischief. The victim stated that sometime during the previous night an unknown person had damaged their political flag. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 9/30/2020 at 10:55 am, patrol responded to the DPW Yard on Hall St. for the report Criminal Mischief. DPW reported that a vehicle on the property had the windshield smashed in. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 9/28/2020 at 8:11 am, patrol responded to a business on North Ave for the report of a Burglary. The owner reported that an unknown person had accessed the business over the weekend and taken $11,000 in U.S. Currency. This case was forwarded to the Detective Bureau. Ptlm. On 9/27/2020 at 2:01 am, Emilio Liranzo-Mercedes, 20, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Consumption of Alcohol Under Legal Age following a motor vehicle stop on the 200 blk of North Ave. Mr. Liranzo-Mercedes was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. On 9/27/2020 at 1:23 am, Mario Pineda, 28, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on the 100 blk of North Ave. Mr. Pineda was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. On 9/22/2020 at 8:10 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft. The victim reported that their juvenile son had been at Morecraft Park with his bicycle when he left the bicycle unattended and an unknown person took it. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 9/21/2020 Abdus Slater, 23, of Plainfield was charged with Criminal Mischief after patrol was dispatched to the 600 blk of Grove St for the report of an individual who had smashed a car window with a brick. Mr. Slater was identified through investigation and mailed a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Brian O'Neill investigated.

On 9/21/2020 at 2:22 am Hope Ryan, 48, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Possession of CDS (cocaine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Under the Influence of Drugs following a motor vehicle stop on Sanford Ave. Ms. Ryan was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. On 9/20/2020 at 10:17 pm Rolando Becerril, 59, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on the 100 blk of North Ave. Mr. Becerril was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. On 9/20/2020 at 8:02 pm Ramon Sanchez, 59, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Provide Breath Samples after patrol was called to Gavornik Park for the vehicle which had driven off the end of the dead-end road and gotten stuck in a field. Mr. Sanchez was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing where he refused to provide proper breath samples. Additionally, warrants were located out of New Brunswick and Newark. After processing and receiving new court dates, Mr. Sanchez was released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 9/19/2020 at 2:41 am, Yanfred Jiminez-Sandi, 19, of Bound Brook was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 50g following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Mr. Jiminez-Sandi was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance notice. On 9/18/2020 at 8:04 pm, Alejandro Alvarez, 59, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop in the parking lot of the Dunellen Train Station. Mr. Alvarez was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 9/17/2020 at 5:28 pm, patrol responded to the Dunellen Train Station for the report of a stolen bicycle. The victim reported that sometime during the day an unknown person had stolen his locked black and green Huffy mountain bike from the bike rack, leaving behind the lock. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 9/17/2020 at 9:50 am, patrol responded to the 200 blk of Columbia St. for the report of Criminal Mischief. The victim reported that several tires on her vehicle had been slashed overnight. Ptlm. Brian O'Neill investigated.

On 9/16/2020 at 11:53 pm, Darwin Edward, 35, of North Brunswick was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on the 200 blk of North Ave. Mr. Edward was found to have a no-bail warrant out of the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later transferred to the Somerset County Jail. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 9/16/2020 at 8:32 pm, Raymond Barna, 65, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Terroristic Threats and Disorderly Conduct after being highly intoxicated and passing out on the front lawn of a residence on the 600 blk of Lincoln Ave. Mr. Barna then proceeded to threaten harm to the responding officers while awaiting medical assistance. Mr. Barna was mailed a court appearance notice and transported by Dunellen Rescue Squad for a medical evaluation. Ptlm. Joseph Green investigated.

On 9/16/2020, Gerber Hernandez, 33, of North Plainfield was charged with Theft of Mislaid Property following investigation into an incident at North Tavern on North Ave on 9/5/2020 in which Mr. Hernandez was captured on video picking up a mislaid wallet containing $1,079 U.S. Currency. When later confronted, he returned the wallet with no money inside.  He was mailed a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 9/8/2020, Mikal Jones Jr., 18, of Plainfield was charged with Simple Assault following investigation into an incident at Quick Chek on 7/28/2020 in which he assaulted an Uber driver. Mr. Jones Jr. was mailed a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 9/7/2020 at 9:23 pm, Jonathan Walker, 38, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court after patrol was called to Diane's O'Matic Wash on North Ave for the report of an intoxicated person harassing the customers. Mr. Walker was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Point Pleasant Beach. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a new court date and a borough ordinance violation. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 9/5/2020 at 7:28 am, patrol responded to a residence on the 200 blk of Front St. for the report of a missing suicidal male. Thanks to the quick work of our dispatchers, surrounding agencies, and tracking dogs from Bound Brook PD and the Somerset County Sheriff's Office, the male was located in a highly intoxicated state on the NJ Transit Railroad Tracks. The Dunellen Rescue Squad and Dunellen Fire Department assisted with locating and he was transferred for medical care. Sgt. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 9/5/2020 at 12:07 am, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft. The victim reported dropping a wallet containing $1,000 in U.S. Currency. Surveillance footage shows another male picking up the wallet and contents shortly thereafter. This case remains open. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 9/4/2020 at 10:30 pm, Christopher Holloway, 21, and Justin Ysaguirre, both of New York were arrested following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave in which they were both passengers. Mr. Holloway was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Mr. Ysaguirre was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of North Brunswick in the amount of $1,000. Both were brought to Dunellen HQ for processing. Mr. Holloway was released with a court date and Mr. Ysaguirre was released after posting bail. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 9/4/2020, Jaden Wilson, 19, of Dunellen was charged with Shoplifting by Concealment, Defiant Trespass, Disorderly Conduct, and Criminal Mischief following investigation into on incident at Quick Chek on 7/18/2020. Mr. Wilson was mailed a court appearance notice. A 17 year old juvenile male was also charged with Defiant Trespass and Shoplifting related to the same incident. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.
