On 9/30/2019 at 2:25 am, Norberto Caraballo, 43, of Dunellen, was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Terroristic Threats, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Aggravated Assault with a Weapon, and Certain Persons Prohibited from Weapon Possession after patrol was called to an incident of reckless driving near Zupko's Tavern. Upon arrival, patrol observed Mr. Caraballo actively attempting to cause serious bodily injury with a weapon. Also during this incident, Philip Samuels-Miller, 36, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court as it was discovered he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Dunellen. Both were brought to Dunellen HQ for processing. Mr. Samuels-Miller was released after posting bail. Mr. Caraballo was remanded to the Middlesex County Jail. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 9/29/2019 at 4:51 pm, patrol responded to the American Legion for the report of Theft. The victim reported that they had mislaid their cell phone while attending a party and that it was subsequently stolen. Sgt. John Doherty investigated.

On 9/28/2019 at 12:23 pm, patrol responded to the 500 blk of Grove St. for the report of Harassment. The victim reported a string of harassing phone calls. Sgt. John Doherty investigated.

On 9/28/2019 at 11:14 am, Gregory Sylvester, 44, of Dunellen, was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop. Mr. Sylvester was found to have a warrant out of Middlesex Borough in the amount of $3,000. Mr. Sylvester was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after posting bail. Ptlm. On 9/27/2019 at 4:10 pm, Tyjuan Pryor, 42, of Plainfield, was arrested for Contempt of Court after he was stopped for obstructing the sidewalks and found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Plainfield. Mr. Pryor was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 9/27/2019 at 3:14 pm, patrol responded to the 400 blk of North Washington Ave for the report of a Theft. The victim reported that an unknown person had removed a refrigerator that was placed outside of his apartment. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 9/26/2019, Stephen Fenchock, 41, of Dunellen, was charged with Defiant Trespass following investigation into an incident on the 300 blk of Oak Parkway on 9/22/2019. Mr. Fenchock was mailed a court appearance notice. Sgt. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 9/26/2019 at 2:19 pm, Jose Lopez, 53, of Iselin, was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave. Mr. Lopez was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Plainfield. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 9/24/2019 at 11:02 pm, patrol responded to Discount Liquors on North Ave for the report of Shoplifting. The employees reported an approximately 20 year old hispanic male had stolen a bottle of Malibu Lime Rum valued at $32.09. Sgt. Brian Robbins investigated.

On 9/24/2019 at 1:50 pm, patrol responded to the 400 blk of Front St. for the report of Burglary and Criminal Trespass. The victim reported that her garage was forced into and several items removed. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 9/24/2019 at 12:38 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Identity Theft. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 9/24/2019 at 11:36 am, patrol responded to Dunellen Public Works for the report of Illegal Dumping. Public Works reported that a person had illegally dumped items. The owner of the property was located and removed them. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 9/24/2019 at 8:52 am, Christopher Sola, 43, of South Plainfield was arrested and charged with Posession of a Schedule II narcotic (adderalll and klonopin), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Prescription Drugs without a Prescription Bottle following a motor vehicle stop on South Ave. Additionally, Mr. Sola had warrants for his arrest out of South Plainfield and Sayreville totaling $1,600. Mr. Sola was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after posting bail and receiving new court dates. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 9/22/2019 at 2:56 pm, patrol responded to Quick Chek on North Ave for the report of an individual whom had shoplifted several bars of ice cream. Upon investigation and review of the security footage, Hope Ryan, 47, of Plainfield was charged with Shoplifting. She was mailed a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 9/22/2019 at 2:40 pm, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Oak Parkway for the report of Criminal Trespass. The victim reported an unknown person had entered his home. This case remains open. Sgt. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 9/21/2019 at 2:44 am, Isauro Contreras, 36, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Mr. Contreras was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. On 9/21/2019 at 12:30 am, Steven Bell, 43, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on New Market Rd. Mr. Bell was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Dunellen in the amount of $500. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. On 9/20/2019 at 4:21 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft. The victim reported that on 9/8/2019 an unknown female had stolen a dress while the victim was at Diane's O'Matic Wash. This case remains open. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 9/20/2019 at 2:40 pm, patrol responded to the 100 blk of Second St. for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed their unlocked vehicle and stolen a box of handgun ammunition. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 9/20/2019 at 9:57 am, patrol responded to Provident Bank of North Ave for the report of Bad Checks. The financial institution reported $1,906 in fraudulent checks. This case remains open. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 9/20/2019 at 9:38 am, patrol responded to the 100 blk of Front St. for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported an unknown person had forced access through the plastic Jeep window and rummaged the contents but did not take anything. Sgt. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 9/19/2019 at 6:57 pm, Cheryl Kennel, 58, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court after patrol responded to the report of several individuals fighting on the 400 blk of Prospect Ave. Investigation revealed that Ms. Kennel had a warrant for her arrest out of Upper Twp. She was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 9/18/2019 at 3:46 pm, Michael Singleton, 22, of Jersey City was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop in which he was a passenger. Mr. Singleton was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Newark. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after posting bail. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 9/18/2019 at 9:07 a, patrol received a walk-in report of a Suspicious Incident. The reporting party wished to report an e-mail scam which she had almost fallen for, however no actual loss occurred. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 9/17/2019 at 1:31 pm, Brian Cahill, 56, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Theft after patrol was called to Maggie Murray's Pub on North Washington Ave. Mr. Cahill had ordered food and alcoholic drinks valued at $35.79 without intention to pay for the items. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance date. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 9/16/2019 at 2:09 pm, patrol received a walk-in report at Headquarters. The victim, a resident of the 600 blk of First St. reported that several fraudulent charges were attempted on her credit card at the Dunellen Quick Chek. This led to the discovery that her unlocked vehicle had been entered and her wallet stolen. Security footage was obtained and several suspects have been identified. This case was forwarded to the Detective Bureau for follow up. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 9/16/2019 at 1:39 pm, patrol responded to the 800 blk of Dunellen Ave for the report of a Bicycle Theft. The victim reported that someone had stolen her Blue Diamond Mountain Bike from the front yard valued at $550. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 9/16/2019 at 12:59 am, Iris Hidalgo, 29, of North Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court after being observed by patrol and known to have a warrant for her arrest out of Plainfield. Ms. Hidalgo was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 9/15/2019 at 5:57 pm, Leonard Gomero, 21, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 50g and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after patrol was called to investigate a suspicious vehicle on Second St near Sanford. Mr. Gomero was found in the vehicle actively engaged in marijuana use. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court date. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 9/14/2019, Kevin Flanagan, 52, of Phillipsburg was charged with Assault on an EMT (3rd Deg), Possession of a Weapon (4th Deg), and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose (3rd Deg) following investigation into an incident on 9/13/2019 in which Mr. Flanagan attacked members of the Dunellen Rescue Squad whom were attempting to render aid. Mr. Flanagan was sent a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 9/14/2019 at 11:06 am, patrol responded to the 400 blk of Prospect Ave for the report of Criminal Mischief. The victim reported damage to a lock on his residence, believed to be part of an ongoing landlord/tenant dispute. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 9/14/2019 at 9:33 am, patrol responded to the 100 blk of Third St. for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed their unlocked vehicle sometime during the prior night and stolen change, perfurme, and two pairs of sunglasses for a total loss of $88. Ptlm. On 9/13/2019 at 12:09 am, Zachary Farley, 21, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court after being observed by patrol and known to have warrants for his arrest. Mr. Farley had a warrant out of Dunellen for $550 as well as a no-bail warrant out of the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office. Mr. Farley was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail. Ptlm. Matthew Rosofsky investigated.

On 9/12/2019 at 6:32 pm, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Oak Parkway for the report of a Burglary. The victim reported that he has been having ongoing issues with a contractor regarding payment. The victim alleges that earlier in the day the contractor had entered his home without permission and intentionally caused damage. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 9/12/2019 at 11:31 am, patrol responded to the 100 blk of First St. for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed their unlocked vehicle during the previous night and removed a set of keys which were located nearby. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 9/12/2019 at 8:39 am, patrol responded to the 100 blk of First St. for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed their unlocked vehicle during the previous night and removed loose change and several dollars in U.S. Currency. Ptlm. On 9/11/2019 at 7:06 pm, patrol responded to the 100 blk of North Washington Ave for a Landlord/Tenant dispute. The involved persons were explained the process for filing at Landlord/Tenant court. Sgt. Brian Robbins investigated.

On 9/11/2019 at 4:45 pm, patrol responded to the 600 blk of South Ave for the report of Illegal Dumping. The owner of the discarded items was located and removed them. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 9/11/2019 at 10:02 am, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Dunellen Ave for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed their unlocked vehicle during the previous night and removed a pocket knife and iPhone charger. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 9/11/2019 at 7:59 am, patrol responded to the 800 blk of Dunellen Ave for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed their unlocked vehicle during the previous night and removed a wallet containing a driver's license and debit card. Ptlm. On 9/10/2019 at 10:32 pm, Timothy Sullivan, 52, of Middlesex was arrested for Contempt of Court after being observed by patrol and known to have a warrant for his arrest out of Dunellen. Mr. Sullivan was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 9/10/2019 at 2:37 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of a Suspicious Incident. The reporting party stated that she had received an e-mail she thought was from a friend requesting her to buy $300 in Apple gift cards and provide the pin numbers. After purchasing the cards, the reporting person became suspicious and confirmed with her friend that the e-mail did not actually come from them. No loss occurred. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 9/10/2019 at 11:01 am, Tangeria Livingston-Baldwin, 23, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on West Fourth St. Ms. Livingston-Baldwin was found to have a warrant for her arrest out of Plainfield. She was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to Plainfield PD on their warrant. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 9/9/19 at 5:15 pm, patrol responded to the 600 blk of Dunellen Ave for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that he had left the driver's side window to his vehicle open and that an unknown person had accessed the vehicle, removing a wallet and several credit cards, charging items to some of the cards. Total loss: $154. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 9/9/19 at 3:18 pm, Bernard Washington Jr., 51, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Mr. Washington Jr. was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Bordentown. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after receiving a new court date. Sgt. John Doherty investigated.

On 9/8/2019 at 7:15 pm, Patricia Pino, 44, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court after police responded to investigate the report of a highly intoxicated person on the 400 blk of North Ave. Ms. Pino was found to have a warrant for her arrest out of the Ocean County Sheiff's Office in the amount of $12,740. Ms. Pino was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to the Ocean County Sheriff's Office on their warrant. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 9/6/2019 at 9:58 pm, Bruce Munoz, 33, of North Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Munoz was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of North Plainfield in the amount of $1,000. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after posting bail. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 9/6/2019 at 6:12 pm, patrol responded to Quick Chek on North Ave for the report of a Simple Assault. The parties had gotten into a physical altercation regarding their differing political beliefs. The participants were explained the process for signing complaints with the court. Ptlm. Jonathan DeAngelo investigated.

On 9/6/2019 at 3:27 pm, patrol responded to the 200 blk of Lincoln Ave for the report of a Burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim reported an unknown person accessed their unlocked vehicle during the previous night and stolen $325 in U.S. Currency as well as $800 in jewelry. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 9/5/2019 at 12:17 pm, patrol responded to Provident Bank on North Ave for the report of Lost Property. The reporting party claimed to have mislaid $500 in U.S. Currency while at the bank. Security footage was reviewed but did not show the funds being mislaid. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 9/5/2019 at 8:38 am, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Front St for the report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed their unlocked Hyundai during the previous night and removed a purse containing $20 U.S. Currency and several Credit Cards. A check of the area found the missing purse nearby, empty. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 9/4/2019 at 5:58 pm, Haresdath Bajnath, 29, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court after being observed by patrol and known to have a warrant for his arrest out of Plainfield. Mr. Bajnath was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after posting bail. Ptlm. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 9/4/2019 at 4:37 pm, patrol received a report of a Structure Fire on the 200 blk of First St. First responding officers ensured that all occupants safely exited the structure. Firefighters from Dunellen and Middlesex arrived to extinguish the upstairs blaze. The Middlesex County Fire Marshall's Office and Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 9/4/2019 at 12:15 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that sometime during the night prior, an unknown person had accessed the victim's unlocked vehicle and rummaged through the contents. Ptlm. Patrick Barry investigated.

On 9/2/2019 at 8:23 pm, a passerby reported hearing what he believed was the sound of a single gunshot in the area of South Second St near the rear of the former Art Color Building which is currently being redeveloped. The witness then observed several individuals running out of the property from a gap in the fence and entering a nearby dark colored sedan which took off at a high rate of speed. Officers from Dunellen, Green Brook, and Piscataway responded. Due to the large amount of area to be searched, Middlesex County Sheriff's Office responded with a team of Explosive Detection K-9's. S/O Mastroserio with K-9 "Kadence", S/O Morales with K-9 "Celeste" and S/O Bell with K-9 "Joy" all responded to assist with the search. The area was searched for several hours with no evidence of a firearm discharge being located. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 9/1/2019 at 10:24 pm, Julio Maldonado, 27, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine (3rd Deg), Distribution of Cocaine (2nd Deg), Possession of Marijuana over 50g (4th Deg), Distribution of Marijuana (3rd Deg), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (DP, 2 cts), and Drug Paraphernalia for Distribution (4th Deg). Jessie Cardenas, 21, of Plainfield was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of Plainfield. Patrol encountered the defendants while investigating an apparent altercation in the parking lot of Quick Chek. Further investigation led to the discovery of 3.25 oz Cocaine and 4.25 oz Marijuana as well as manufacturing paraphernalia. The seized narcotics have an estimated street value of $10,000. Both defendants were brought to Dunellen HQ for processing. Ms. Cardenas was released after posting bail and receiving a new court date. Mr. Maldonado was remanded to the Middlesex County Jail.
