July 2016    

On 7/31/2016 at 2:50 am, Travis Page, 20, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated after a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Mr. Page was transported to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober party with a court date. Ptlm. Goldman investigated.

On 7/27/2016 at 8:04 pm, Jhason Aseicha, 18, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court after patrol officers were called to investigate a dispute. During the investigation it was discovered that one of the involved parties, Mr. Aseicha, had an outstanding warrant from Dunellen. Mr. Aseicha was placed under arrest and brought to Dunellen HQ for processing. He was later transported to the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center in lieu of bail. Ptlm. Daniel investigated.

On 7/27/2016 at 5:22 pm, patrol officers took a walk in report for theft of American Flags from a Dunellen Ave residence. Ptlm. Lovell investigated.

On 7/26/2016 at 11:25 pm, Steve Camino, 20, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, and Underage Alcohol Consumption after patrol was called to the 200 blk of Prospect Ave for an unconscious male. The intoxicated male, subsequently identified as Mr. Camino, began acting in a highly disorderly manner, and then subsequently fought with officers as they attempted to place him under arrest. Mr. Camino was transported to the hospital due to his intoxicated state and a copy of the charges along with a court date were mailed to his residence. Sgt. Doherty investigated.

On 7/26/2016 at 1:27 am, Carl Mattos, 28, of Ledgewood was arrested and charged with two counts of Contempt of Court after patrol was called to the 400 blk of North Ave for a male sleeping in a parking lot. Investigating officers recognized the individual as Carl Mattos who was a wanted person out of Piscataway. Officers confirmed two outstanding warrants for Mr. Mattos from Piscataway, totaling $50,000.00. Mr. Mattos was placed under arrest, brought to Dunellen HQ for processing, and later turned over to the Piscataway Police Dept. Ptlm. Nierodzik investigated.

On 7/25/2016 at 4:19 pm, patrol responded to the 500 blk of Mountainview Terrace for the report of an attempted burglary which had occurred sometime during the previous night. Evidence was collected and the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information may contact Det. O'Neill.  Ptlm Holovacko completed the initial investigation.

On 7/25/2016 at 10:38 am, Michael Smith, 35, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. The vehicle was stopped for an expired registration. Investigation revealed that the operator, Mr. Smith, had a suspended driver's license as well as an arrest warrant out of the Union County Sheriff's Office. He was processed and custody was transferred to the Union County Sheriff's Office. Ptlm. Goldman investigated

On 7/21/2016 at 10:19 pm, patrol took a report of an assault which had occurred several hours earlier on the 200 blk of North Ave. Information and photographs of the victim were taken. The investigation remains ongoing. Ptlm. Nierodzik investigated.

On 7/21/216 at 5:48 pm, patrol responded to the 500 blk of Madison Ave for the report of the theft of a child's stroller. The theft was reported to have taken place several days earlier as the stroller was left unsecured outside of the residence. Information was taken for a report. Ptlm. Holovacko investigated.

On 7/21/2016 at 8:47 am, Tyjuan Pryor, 39, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Theft of Movable Property, Possession of Burglar Tools, and Criminal Mischief, after patrol was called to the Dunellen Train Station for the reported theft in progress. Investigation revealed that Mr. Pryor was actively attempting to cut the lock to a secured bicycle which did not belong to him. He was brought to headquarters for processing and later released with a summons to appear in court. Ptlm. DeAngelo investigated.

On 7/20/2016 at 9:26 pm, patrol responded to the 200 blk of New Market Road the report of a stolen bicycle. It was reported that the bicycle stolen had been left unattended on the property for several hours. Upon returning, the victim located another bicycle, which did not belong to them, in the original bicycle's place. Information was taken for the police report. Ptlm. Nierodzik investigated.

On 7/20/2016 at 4:33 pm, patrol responded to the 100 blk of New Market Road for the report of an assault. The victim was treated by the Dunellen Rescue Squad and transported to Somerset Medical Center for further treatment. The victim was uncooperative with patrol's investigation into the incident. Ptlm. Holovacko investigated.

On 7/16/2016 at 12:26 am, Ashley Eddy, 22, of North Plainfield was arrested for driving while intoxicated after patrol was alerted via 911 of a vehicle traveling out of Middlesex in a reckless manner. Patrol located the vehicle in the parking lot of Quick Chek on North Ave.  After an investigation, Ms. Eddy was placed under arrest. She was processed and later released to a sober party. Ptlm. Goldman investigated.

On 7/10/2016 at 6:35 pm, Patrol responded to a report of shots being fired.  Two men were wounded as they stood outside of a rental hall on North Washington Ave.  The suspects were riding in a white minivan when they approached the victims, and fled after firing an undisclosed number of shots.  The two men were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where they are being treated for gunshot wounds.  Anyone with information should contact Det. O'Neill (x243) or Det. Dudley (x239).  

On 7/9/2016 at 12:56 am Mike Jackson Jr, 26, of Piscataway Township was placed under arrest and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession of Less than 50 Grams of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Patrolman Pepe was on routine patrol when he observed a vehicle travel through a red traffic signal. A motor vehicle stop was conducted and investigation revealed a quantity of marijuana individually wrapped, packaging material and a digital scale within the vehicle. Mr Jackson Jr. was processed and later released after posting bail. Ptlm. Pepe investigated. 

On 7/1/2016 at 12:24 am Jackelyn McCann, age 28, of Dunellen was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Hypodermic Syringes. Patrolman Pepe was on routine patrol when he observed a vehicle driving on Bound Brook Road without headlights. He conducted a motor vehicle stop and investigation revealed a large amount of drug paraphernalia along with hypodermic syringes within the vehicle. Ms McCann was issued issued a summons, processed, and released with a pending court appearance. Ptlm. Pepe investigated.
