On 4/29/16 at 6:35am patrol units were dispatched to the Quick Chek convenient store on North Avenue for a male panhandling in the parking lot. Upon arrival, officers observed the suspect attempting to leave the area on a bicycle. After a short distance, the officers were able to catch up with the suspect who was identified as Matthew L Williams, age 24 of Plainfield, NJ. Further investigation revealed that Mr. Williams had multiple arrests warrants from Bound Brook and Somerville. Mr. Williams was placed under arrest, processed and subsequently turned over to the Bound Brook Police Department.  Patrolman Goldman investigated.

On 4/29/2016 at 11:09pm Sergeant Delbuono was on routine patrol near the 200 block of South Washington Avenue when he observed a Volkswagen Jetta driving in the shoulder lane and swerving over the double yellow line. Sergeant Delbuono conducted a motor vehicle stop and identified the driver as Maria Pazmino, age 37, of Plainfield, NJ. While speaking with Ms. Pazmino Sergeant Delbuono detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her vehicle and observed her eyes to be very watery. She was then administered standardized field sobriety tests and subsequently placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. Sergeant Delbuono investigated.

On 4/30/16 at 1:56am Patrolman Pepe was on routine patrol in the 300 block of New Market road when he observed a silver Kia cut off another vehicle while making a turn. Patrolman Pepe conducted a motor vehicle stop on New Market Road and identified the driver as Marcus M Kearney, age 24 of New Brunswick, NJ. While speaking with Mr. Kearney, Patrolman Pepe detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and observed that his eyes were bloodshot and watery. He was then administered field sobriety tests and subsequently placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. After submitting to breath samples, Mr. Kearney’s BAC was determined to be more than double the legal limit. Patrolman Pepe investigated

On 4/24/16 @ 12:55am - Dajuan Hester, 22, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with two counts of contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on Washington Ave. The vehicle was stopped for having expired registration. The driver was then discovered to have a suspended license and two active warrants for his arrest. He was arrested and brought to headquarters to be processed where he later posted bail and was released. Ptl Nierodzik investigated. 

On 4/22/16 @ 10:32am - Mary Terkowski, 29, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with shoplifting after patrol was called to a North Ave business for a report of a female placing items in her purse in the store. The suspect was stopped and the stolen items were found in her purse. She was arrested, processed and later released. Ptl Deangelo investigated. 

On 4/22/16 @ 3:39am - Ashley Eddy, 22, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on Washington Ave. The vehicle was stopped for speeding and going through a red light. During the stop marijuana was found inside the vehicle. The suspect was arrested, processed and later released. Ptl Pepe investigated. 

On 4/21/16 @ 12:53pm - Aljiernon Aiken, 21, of Newark was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on Washington Ave. The vehicle was stopped because a random plate check revealed an active warrant for the registered owner. The suspect was arrested and brought to headquarters to be processed where he later posted bail and was released. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 4/19/16 @ 11:17pm - Luis Cornejo, 24, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with hindering and unsworn falsification to authorities following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for having a headlight out and further investigation revealed that the vehicle also had a fraudulent temporary registration. The driver then lied about his name because he had a suspended license as well. He was arrested, processed and later was released after posting bail. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 4/19/16 @ 11:06am - Shakeeda Ross, 30, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on Pulaski St. The vehicle was stopped for the registered owner having an outstanding warrant. She was arrested, processed and later turned over to Union County Sheriff's Dept for her warrant. Ptl Deangelo investigated. 

On 4/16/16 @ 12:58am - Dulce Montilla, 38, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with DWI and refusing to submit breath samples following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for tailgating another vehicle and swerving. The suspect was found to be intoxicated and was arrested. Once at headquarters she also refused to give breath samples. She was processed and later released to a sober party. Ptl Pepe investigated. 

On 4/13/16 @ 1:41am - Tiawan Troutman, 22, of Middlesex was arrested and charged with eluding and possession of marijuana following a brief motor vehicle pursuit. The vehicle was seen involved in a drug transaction with another vehicle on South Second St. and upon seeing the patrol car the suspect vehicle as well as a second vehicle involved in the transaction both fled the scene. After a brief pursuit one of the vehicles was located and the suspect was arrested. Inside the vehicle a small bag of marijuana was found as well. The suspect was arrested, processed and later posted bail. Ptl Pepe investigated. 

On 4/11/16 @ 7:54pm - Michael Greene Jr, 21, of Bound Brook was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on South Ave. The vehicle was stopped for having a headlight out. Inside the vehicle a jar containing marijuana was located as well as rolling papers. The suspect was arrested, processed and later released. Ptl Pepe investigated. 

On 4/9/16 @ 2:26am - Tiffany Wortman, 35, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with DWI, refusing to submit to breath samples, obstruction and two counts of disorderly conduct after patrol was called to a North Ave business for an intoxicated female causing a disturbance in the store. Upon arrival the suspect was found in her vehicle preparing to leave. She was stopped and immediately became disorderly in the parking lot, yelling at officers and refusing to perform field sobriety tests. She was arrested and brought to headquarters for processing where she refused to give breath samples and refused to give pedigree information. She was processed and later turned over to a sober party. On her way out of headquarters she began to scream again and kick the front door of police headquarters several times, leading to the second disorderly conduct charge. She was also charged with littering for throwing her traffic tickets on the sidewalk. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 4/9/16 @ 12:11am - Danny Soria, 42, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for speeding, making an illegal right turn at a red light, and for swerving into the opposite lane of travel. The driver was found to be intoxicated and was arrested. He was found to be double the legal limit. He was later released to a sober party. Ptl Nierodzik investigated. 

On 4/5/16 @ 5:10pm - Tyreal Bridges, 27, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on Walnut St. The vehicle was stopped because a random plate check revealed the owner of the vehicle had an active warrant for his arrest. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was arrested for his warrant. He was processed and later posted bail. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 4/1/16 @ 11:29pm - Jose Diaz, 18, of New Providence was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after a motor vehicle stop on Washington Ave. The vehicle was stopped for almost colliding with a patrol car. The driver then changed seats with the passenger and when told to exit the vehicle he refused. He was then removed from the vehicle and physically resisted arrest. He was transported to headquarters where he was processed and later released. Sgt Delbuono investigated.
