August 2015

On 8/26/15 @ 2:34am - A 28 year old resident of Middlesex was arrested and charged with two counts of obstruction following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for swerving and almost hitting a patrol car. During the stop the driver refused to produce his license, registration or insurance card or provide his name stating that officers had no jurisdiction over him because he was "divine." The suspect was quickly informed that he was sorely mistaken in these views and was placed under arrest for obstruction for refusing to give his identity during a motor vehicle stop. His vehicle was then towed for not providing insurance information. He was brought to headquarters to be processed where he again claimed his "divine right" to not give further pedigree information, so he was the charged with a second count of obstruction for refusing to provide this information. He was processed and later released. Ptl Pepe investigated. 

On 8/25/15 @ 5:02pm - A 53 year old resident of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with criminal mischief. The suspect had thrown a large brick at the atm machine at Investors Bank on North Washington Ave. The suspect then left the scene. North Plainfield Pd later arrested the suspect at his residence and he was brought back to headquarters for processing. He later posted bail and was released. Ptl Holovacko investigated. 

On 8/25/15 @ 12:20am - An 18 year old resident of Dunellen was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after patrol was called to his parents' residence for a report of a dispute. Upon arrival it was discovered that the suspect was arguing with his father and his father wanted him to leave the house. The suspect was told to leave several times but refused officers' orders and was placed under arrest. He was brought to headquarters where he was processed and later released. Ptl Nierodzik investigated. 

On 8/24/15 @ 8:44pm - A 35 year old resident of Dunellen was arrested and charged with DWI and contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on High St. The vehicle was stopped because it had been driving through the area honking its horn and had told one resident that he was looking for people that had earlier shot at him. There was an open container of wine in his passenger seat and the driver was found to be intoxicated. He also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Washington Twp. He was brought to headquarters where he was found to be almost twice the legal limit. He then posted bail on his warrant and was released to a sober party. His claim of someone threatening to shoot him had no credibility. Ptl Nierodzik investigated. 

On 8/24/15 @ 6:20pm - A 55 year old resident of Bache Pl. reported being the victim of burglary and theft to her motor vehicle which occurred at some point in the prior 4 days. The victim stated the someone entered her unlocked vehicle during that time and stole several items. She also stated that several other neighbors complained of their vehicle being burglarized during that time as well. There were no known suspects or witnesses. Ptl O'neill investigated. 

On 8/23/15 @ 1:07am - A 26 year old resident of Somerset was arrested and charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for driving without its headlights on. The driver was found to have two outstanding warrants for his arrest and was placed into custody. In plain view in the vehicle two syringes and ten folds of heroin were found. The suspect was brought to headquarters where he was processed, posted bail and was released. Ptl Nierodzik investigated. 

On 8/21/15 @ 11:14am - A 49 year old resident of Dunellen was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after officers noticed the suspect begging for money on North Ave. The suspect had been warned on several prior incidents to not beg for money. Upon approaching the suspect officers heard the suspect asking pedestrians for money again. He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. He was processed and later released. Ptl Lovell investigated. 

On 8/18/15 @ 12:06pm - A 19 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped when a random plate check revealed an active warrant for the registered owner's arrest out of Piscataway. The driver was arrested, processed and later released. Ptl. Pepe investigated. 

On 8/17/15 @ 12:35am - A 42 year old resident of Dunellen was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on Front St. The vehicle was stopped for swerving into the opposite lane of travel several times. The driver was found to be intoxicated and was arrested. He was brought to headquarters where he was found to be over double the legal limit. He was processed and released to a sober party. Ptl Nierodzik investigated. 

On 8/15/15 @ 10:59pm - A 44 year old resident of Middlesex was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on Walnut St. The vehicle was stopped for going over the curb while making a turn and for swerving back and forth in the roadway. The driver was found to be intoxicated and arrested. He was brought to headquarters where he was found to be double the legal limit. He was processed and later released to a sober party. Ptl Robbins investigated. 

On 8/14/15 @ 12:38am - A 22 year old resident of Piscataway was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on New Market Rd. The vehicle was stopped for swerving several times across the lane dividers and for speeding (approx 60mph). The driver was found to be intoxicated and arrested. He was brought to headquarters for processing where he was found to be almost 3 times the legal limit. He was later released to a sober party. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 8/12/15 @ 7:35pm - A 49 year old resident of Piscataway was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct after he showed up to municipal court on unrelated charges intoxicated. He had an open container of alcohol in the hallway of the courtroom and was causing a disturbance. The Dunellen Rescue Squad was called to take the suspect to the hospital due to his high level of intoxication and during the transport he assaulted members of the rescue squad. Officers then followed the ambulance the rest of the way to the hospital were he was turned over to hospital staff. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 8/11/15 @ 11:37pm - Two 18 year old residents of Dunellen were arrested and charged with criminal trespass. Officers were dispatched to 100 South Washington Ave. for a report of two males who climbed up to the roof of the businesses and appeared to be skateboarding on the roof. The suspects hid upon patrol's arrival. They were told to come down several times and would not. The Dunellen Fire Dept was then dispatched to assist with their ladders to gain access to the roof. Upon arrival of the Fire Dept both suspects showed themselves. They were brought down from the roof and both arrested for criminal trespass. They were brought to headquarters to be processed and were later released. Ptl Robbins investigated. 

On 8/11/15 @ 4:55pm - A resident of Front St reported being the victim of criminal mischief. The victim stated that someone threw a hammer through the window of their house. The suspect was described as a black male and he fled in a black Nissan. Ptl Holovacko investigated. 

On 8/11/15 @ 2:20pm - An 18 year old resident of Dunellen was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest following a call for criminal mischief to a residence. Patrol arrived on scene to take a report of criminal mischief done to a residence and the victim's son arrived on scene screaming and cursing at police. He was advised several times to calm down and did not. The suspect then became violent towards his family and when officers tried to restrain him he pulled away and resisted arrest. After a struggle he was handcuffed and placed under arrest. A stun gun was then found in his possession, which he was then also charged with. The suspect was brought to headquarters where he was processed and later transported to Middlesex County Jail. Ptl Deangelo investigated. 

On 8/6/15 @ 3:02am - Patrol responded to the 300 block of North Ave for a report of an active structure fire. Upon arrival patrol learned that two residents were trapped on the 2nd floor of the building. One resident was then found hanging half out of the 2nd floor window trying to avoid breathing in the heavy smoke and the 2nd resident had crawled out of another window and was standing on the window ledge clinging to the house to avoid the heavy smoke. Officers then located a construction truck with ladders on the roof and used one to retrieve both residents from the 2nd floor. The fire department extinguished the fire and initial investigation could not determine the cause of the fire. Sgt Doherty and Ptl Nierodzik investigated.

On 8/2/15 @ 9:53am - A resident of Penfield Pl reported being the victim of a burglary and theft to their motor vehicle. At some point in the over night hours someone had gained access to their vehicle and stole numerous items. There were no witnesses or suspects. Ptl Deangelo investigated. 

On 8/2/15 @ 2:08am - A 28 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with contempt of court and hindering following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for driving without its headlights on. The driver then gave a false name to the officer. When he true identity was discovered a warrant for his arrest out of Greenbrook was also located. The suspect was arrested, processed and later turned over to Greenbrook on their warrant. Ptl Robbins investigated. 

On 8/1/15 @ 1:46am - A 22 year old resident of Middlesex was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for making an illegal u-turn and driving at a high rate of speed. The driver was found to be intoxicated and arrested. He was brought to headquarters where he was processed and later released to a sober party. Ptl Nierodzik investigated. 

July 2015


On 7/30/15 @ 5:49pm - A 42 year old resident of Dunellen and a 34 year old resident of South Plainfield were both arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after patrol was called to the train station for a welfare check on a possibly suicidal male. Patrol found the male with another male at the train station. The male stated he was not suicidal but further investigation discovered that both suspects had hypodermic needles in their possession. The were both arrested, processed and later released. Ptl Pepe investigated. 

On 7/30/15 @ 10:15am - A 22 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for improper display of license plate and the driver was found to have an active warrant out for his arrest. The suspect was arrested, processed and later released. Ptl Pepe investigated. 

On 7/29/15 @ 3:12pm - An 18 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Rd. The vehicle was stopped after a plate check revealed that the registered owner had an active warrant out for her arrest. The suspect was arrested, processed and later released. Ptl Pepe investigated.

On 7/28/15 @ 6:06pm - A 42 year old resident of North Washington Ave reported being the victim of a burglary and theft. The victim reported that sometime earlier in the day an unknown person(s) gained access to his residence and stole several items, including two televisions and two laptop computers. No neighbors reported seeing anything suspicious. Ptl O'neill investigated. 

On 7/28/15 @ 12:36am - A 19 year old resident of Fords was arrested and charged with possession of fraudulent identification following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Investigation during the stop lead to the driver granting to a consent search of his vehicle where a fraudulent NJ driver's license was found. The driver was arrested, processed and later released. Ptl O'neill investigated. 

On 7/26/15 @ 1:18pm - A 28 year old resident of Piscataway was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for having a rejected inspection sticker and for the driver not wearing a seatbelt. The driver also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and brought to headquarters to be processed where he later posted bail and was released. Ptl Pepe investigated. 

On 7/24/15 @ 9:57pm - A 29 year old resident of Dunellen was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle accident on the 400 block of Madison Ave. The suspect vehicle had struck multiple parked vehicles and the driver was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested and brought to headquarters for processing where he was found to be over double the legal limit. The suspect was later released to a sober party. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 7/24/15 @ 2:49am - A 30 year old resident of Dunellen was arrested for contempt of court and a 31 year old resident of Dunellen was arrested and charged with two counts of contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on Front St. The driver was found to have a suspended license and had two warrants out for her arrest. The passenger had one outstanding warrant for his arrest. Both were arrested and brought to headquarters to be processed where they both posted bail and were released. Sgt Doherty investigated. 

On 7/24/15 @ 1:41am - A 37 year old resident of Newark was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on Madison Ave. The vehicle was stopped because of expired inspection and because the owner had a suspended license and an outstanding warrant for her arrest. She was arrested without incident, processed and later posted bail. Sgt Doherty investigated. 

On 7/21/15 @ 11:35am - A 43 year old resident of Raritan was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for failing to stop for pedestrians in a cross walk. The driver refused to follow officer's instructions to stay in his vehicle and was arrested for disorderly conduct. He then refused to follow officer's instructions to put his hands behind his back and had to forcefully be handcuffed. He was brought to headquarters where he was processed and later released. Ptl Robbins investigated. 

On 7/20/15 @ 9:39am - A 50 year old resident of East Brunswick was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on Washington Ave. The vehicle was stopped for the driver using a cell phone while driving. The driver had an active warrant out for her arrest and was taken into custody. She was brought to headquarters where she was processed, posted bail and was released. Ptl Pepe investigated. 

On 7/15/15 @ 5:13pm - A 32 year old resident of South Ave reported being the victim of burglary and theft. The victim stated that the house was empty for the past few months and when she came back to the residence she noticed several items including the copper plumbing pipes. Sgt Chin investigated. 

On 7/15/15 @ 4:06pm - A 44 year old resident of Maplewood was arrested and charged with two counts of contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on Route 28. The vehicle was stopped because the registered owner had a suspended license and two warrants out for his arrest. The driver was the registered owner and he was arrested on the warrants without incident. He was brought to headquarters where he was processed and later turned over to Essex County Sheriff's Dept. Ptl Pepe investigated. 

On 7/14/15 @ 11:18pm - An 18 year old resident of Piscataway reported being the victim of assault on the 300 block of Walnut St. The victim stated that he was going to a friend's house when a black male and a hispanic male assaulted him. The victim sustained injuries to his face and would not cooperate with officers and refused to sign complaints. Ptl Nierodzik investigated. 

On 7/13/15 @ 5:12pm - A 46 year old resident of Mountainview Ter reported being the victim of a theft. The victim stated someone had stolen his daughter's green mongoose bicycle sometime between 7/6 and 7/12. There were no witnesses. Ptl O'neill investigated. 

On 7/10/15 @ 8:38pm - A 26 year old resident of Piscataway was arrested and charged with obstruction following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for not having a current inspection sticker. The driver then lied about his name because he had a suspended driver's license. His true identity was discovered and he was arrested. He was processed and later released. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 7/9/15 @ 2:17am - A 42 year old resident of Dunellen was arrested and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of heroin and two counts of contempt of court after patrol found him sleeping in a vehicle on South Washington Ave. In plain view inside the vehicle were found 7 decks of heroin, one bag of marijuana, 3 empty bags of heroin, one half smoke marijuana cigar and various other items of drug paraphernalia. The suspect also had two warrants out for his arrest. He was arrested, processed and later turned over to Scotch Plains Pd on one of his warrants. Ptl Nierodzik investigated. 

On 7/8/15 @ 3:49pm - A 28 year old resident of Bedminster was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle accident on Bound Brook Rd. The suspect had swerved off the roadway and then struck a parked car and a telephone pole. The driver was found to be intoxicated and arrested. She was brought to headquarters to be processed where she was found to be over double the legal limit. She was later released to a sober party. Ptl Deangelo investigated. 

On 7/7/15 @ 5:23ppm - A 39 year old resident of Dunellen was arrested and charged with two counts of shoplifting out of another jurisdiction. The complaints were faxed to headquarters for patrol to serve to the suspect at his residence. He was located, arrested and processed. He was later turned over to Piscataway Pd for the warrant. Ptl Pepe investigated. 

On 7/7/15 @ 5:28am - A 22 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with simple assault after patrol was called to Front St for a report of a fight in progress. The suspect had assaulted a resident on the street following a verbal dispute. He was arrested, processed and later released. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 7/2/15 @ 3:10pm - A 39 year old resident of Piscataway was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop for no inspection sticker on North Ave. The driver was found to also have a warrant out for his arrest and was arrested without incident. The suspect was brought to headquarters where he was processed and later posted bail. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 7/1/15 @ 9:00pm - A 56 year old resident of Dunellen was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property and resisting arrest. The suspect was seen with a leaf blower that fit the description of one that was recently stolen out of Middlesex. When patrol checked the serial number on the blower it was discovered that it was not the blower stolen from Middlesex but it was however a different blower that was stolen out of Bloomfield. The suspect then refused to comply with officer's instructions while being arrested and was charged with resisting arrest as well. He was brought to headquarters where he was processed and later released. Ptl Daniel investigated. 

On 7/1/15 @ 10:52am - A 53 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with contempt of court after patrol were called to the area of the 100 block of South Washington Ave for a report of a male riding a bicycle possibly intoxicated. The suspect was located and a check of his name revealed that he had an active warrant out for his arrest. The suspect was arrested, processed and later turned over to Union County Sheriff's Dept on his warrant. Ptl Pepe investigated. 

On 7/1/15 @ 2:30am - A 22 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop in the train station parking lot. The vehicle was stopped for going through a red light on Madison Ave at the intersection of North Ave. The vehicle smelled like marijuana and the driver gave consent to search the vehicle. Officers found 39 small bags of marijuana and one larger bag of marijuana. The suspect was processed and later released. Ptl Nierodzik investigated. 

June 2015

On 6/30/15 @ 11:52pm - A 25 year old resident of Easton PA was arrested and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for having a broken tail light. The vehicle smelled like marijuana and the driver gave consent to search his vehicle. A clear plastic bag of marijuana was found and the driver was arrested. He was processed and later released. Ptl Robbins investigated. 

On 6/26/15 @ 1:06am - A 23 year old resident of South Plainfield was arrested and charged with DWI and a 24 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for speeding on North Ave. The driver was found to be intoxicated and arrested. The passenger then refused to exit the vehicle and resisted arrest when officers attempted to remove him from the vehicle. Both suspects were processed and later released to a sober party. Ptl Robbins investigated.  

On 6/23/15 @ 8:31pm - A 21 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with simple assault after patrol was called to the train station for a report of a fight in progress. Investigation showed that the suspect assaulted the victim after the victim told him to pick up his trash that he left behind at the train station. The suspect was arrested, processed and later released. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 6/22/15 @ 8:30pm - A 51 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped because the owner was showing an active warrant for her arrest. She was arrested, processed and later posted bail and was released. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 6/22/15 @ 3:16am - A 19 year old resident of Union was arrested and charged with possession of over 50 grams of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave. The vehicle was stopped for making an illegal right on red. There was a strong smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The owner gave consent to search the vehicle and numerous bags of suspected marijuana were found, as well as a digital scale and packaging material. The suspect was arrested, processed and later released. Ptl Nierodzik investigated. 

On 6/21/15 @ 3:14am - A 22 year old resident of Middlesex was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after patrol was called to a Madison Ave residence for a report of a dispute. Upon arrival patrol encountered the suspect, who was intoxicated, and he continued to yell and curse at officers on scene. He was arrested, processed and later released. Ptl Nierodzik investigated. 

On 6/20/15 @ 8:41pm - A 33 year old resident of South Plainfield was arrested and charged with DWI, refusal to submit breath samples, obstruction and endangering the welfare of a child following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave for speeding. The driver was found to be intoxicated and refused to perform field sobriety tests. The driver also had his juvenile child in the vehicle. He was arrested and brought to headquarters for processing where he then refused to give breath samples as well. He was processed and later transported to Middlesex County Jail. Ptl O'neill investigated. 

On 6/19/15 A 2:00am - A 58 year old resident of Dunellen was arrested and charged with shoplifting and contempt of court after patrol was called to a North Ave business for a reported shoplifter. The suspect had several stolen items on his person and also had several warrants for his arrest. He was arrested, processed and later turned over to Edison Pd on one of his warrants. Ptl Daniel investigated. 

On 6/16/15 @ 6:12pm - A 46 year old resident of First St reported being the victim of burglary and theft. The victim stated she left her house in the morning and was unsure if she locked the door. When she returned home she found that a bicycle and a computer were taken. There were no signs of forced entry. Ptl Deangelo investigated. 

On 6/16/15 @ 12:38am - A 27 year old resident of Piscataway was arrested and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana after a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave. The vehicle was stopped for speeding and the odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle. A sandwich bag of suspected marijuana was found after a consent search. The suspect was arrested, processed and later released. Ptl Nierodzik investigated. 

On 6/15/15/@ 4:30pm - A North Ave business reported being the victim of shoplifting. The employees stated that two black males placed $350 worth of shrimp into shopping baskets and left without paying. The suspects then left in a Chevy Suburban. Ptl Pepe investigated. 

On 6/14/15 @ 7:51am - A 47 year old resident of Jefferson Ave reported being the victim of criminal mischief at some point during the over night hours. The victim stated that a television had been thrown through the window of her parked vehicle. There were no witnesses or suspects. Ptl Lovell investigated. 

On 6/11/15 @ 1:38pm - A 46 year old resident of New Brunswick was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped because the registered owner was showing an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The owner of the vehicle was not driving it but the current driver was found to have a suspended license and also an outstanding warrant for her arrest. She was arrested, processed, and later turned over to New Brunswick Pd for her warrant. Ptl Pepe investigated. 

On 6/11/15 @ 3:34am - A 58 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after patrol found the man sleeping at a bus stop. The suspect had a glass crack pipe lying next to him in plain view as well as multiple push rods for the pipe. The suspect was arrested, processed and later released. Ptl Nierodzik investigated. 


On 06/08/15 @ 2:45am - A 34 year old resident of Raritan was arrested for D.W.I. following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Road.  The vehicle was observed crossing over the double yellow lines.  The subject was processed and released to a sober party.  Ptl. Nierodzik investigated.

On 06/07/15 @ 8:09pm - A 53 year old resident of Morganville was arrested for Contempt of Court following police response to a theft report.  The subject was released on his own recognizance.  Ptl. Goldman investigated.

06/06/15 @ 7:55pm - A 55 year old resident of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court after being observed by police urinating on the sidewalk on South Washington Ave.  The subject was issued a summons for the urination and arrested on outstanding warrants.   He was later released after posting bail.  Ptl. Goldman investigated.

06/06/15 @ 12:15pm - A 41 year old resident of Piscataway was arrested for Contempt of Court after turning himself in on an active warrant.  He was released after posting bail.  Sgt. Beenders investigated.

06/05/15 @ 2:25am - A 23 year old resident of Warren was arrested for Criminal Trespass and Disorderly Conduct following police response to a reported break-in.  The subject was found to be intoxicated and entered a home on the 700 block North Washington Avenue to which he was not invited.  The subject was processed and released to the care of a sober party.  Ptl. Goldman investigated.


May 2015


On 5/31/15 @ 10:16am - A 48 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with three counts of contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop for expired registration. The driver was found to have a suspended license and multiple warrants for his arrest. The suspect was arrested, processed and later turned over to Union County Sheriff's Dept on one of his warrants. Ptl Lovell investigated. 

On 5/31/15 @ 12:27am - A 37 year old resident of Kearny was arrested and charged with four counts of contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave. The vehicle was stopped for speeding and the driver was found to have four warrants out for his arrest. The suspect was arrested, processed and posted bail. Ptl Daniel investigated. 

On 5/30/15 @ 4:17pm - A 35 year old resident of Piscataway was arrested and charged with contempt of court after being stopped for expired registration. The driver was found to have a suspended license and warrants out for his arrest. He was arrested, processed and later posted bail. Ptl Lovell investigated. 

On 5/29/15 @ 2:00pm - A 22 year old resident of Piscataway was arrested and charged with contempt of court after being stopped at a "click it or ticket" seatbelt checkpoint. The suspect had an outstanding warrant out of South Plainfield. She was arrested, processed and posted bail. Ptl Daniel investigated. 

On 5/28/15 @ 1:06am - A 23 year old resident of Linden was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on Second St. The vehicle was stopped for having a headlight out and for expired registration. The driver was found to have an warrant out for his arrest. He was arrested, processed and later posted bail. Ptl Pepe investigated. 

On 5/25/15 @ 10:58pm - A 35 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on the 100 block of North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for careless driving and the driver was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested and brought to headquarters to be processed where he was found to be triple the legal limit. He was processed and later released to a sober party. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 5/24/15 @ 4:24am - A 31 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension and 4 counts of contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on the 100 block of Front St. The vehicle was stopped for driving with its headlights on and the driver lied about his identity. When the driver's true identity was discovered it was found that he had a suspended license and numerous warrants for his arrest. He was arrested, processed, and later turned over to Franklin Twp Police on his warrants. Ptl Pepe investigated. 

On 5/23/15 @ 8:05am - An 18 year old resident of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. The vehicle was stopped for driving 60mph in a 25mph zone. The driver was found to have a suspended license and an outstanding warrant for her arrest. The suspect was arrested, processed and later released. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 5/19/15 @ 1:36am - A 36 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for swerving over the double yellow line on North Ave several times. The driver was found to be intoxicated and arrested. He was brought to headquarters where he was processed and found to be over triple the legal limit. He was later released to a sober party. Sgt Doherty investigated. 

On 5/18/15 @ 11:09pm - An 18 year old resident of Dunellen was arrested and charged with a robbery which had occurred in South Brunswick. Patrol responded to the suspect's residence at the request of South Brunswick Pd to attempt to located the suspect. After locating the suspect he was arrested, processed and turned over to South Brunswick Pd. Ptl Pepe investigated. 

On 5/15/15 @ 11:51pm - A 29 year old resident of Dunellen was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for driving without its headlights on. The driver was found to be intoxicated and arrested. He was brought to headquarters where he was processed and later released to a sober party. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 5/14/15 @ 2:18am - A 50 year old resident of Millburn was arrested and charged with two counts of contempt of court and criminal trespass. The suspect was found asleep in the closed ticket area of the train station. Two outstanding warrants for his arrest were also discovered. The suspect was arrested, processed and later released. On 5/13/15 @ 7:40pm - A 32 year old resident of Dunellen was arrested during court for an outstanding warrant. The suspect was found to have a warrant out for her arrest out of Garwood. The suspect was arrested, processed and later released. Ptl Robbins investigated. 

On 5/10/15 @ 2:19am - A 41 year old resident of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with DWI and refusing to submit to breath samples following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave. The vehicle was stopped for skidding across the intersection of Washington Ave and North Ave while turning and for driving over the yellow lane dividers on North Washington Ave. The driver was found to be intoxicated and was arrested. While in headquarters the suspect refused to give samples of his breath. He was processed and later released to a sober party. Ptl O'neill investigated. 

On 5/9/15 @ 6:00pm - A 39 year old resident of Dunellen was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave. The driver was found to have a warrant out for his arrest out of Dunellen. He was brought to headquarters where he was processed, posted bail and was released. Ptl Pepe investigated. 

On 5/9/15 @ 1:26am - A 28 year old resident of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with DWI and refusing to submit to breath tests following a motor vehicle stop on Dunellen Ave. The vehicle was stopped for swerving over the lane dividers on Washington Ave and nearly striking a patrol vehicle. The driver was found to be intoxicated and arrested. She was processed at headquarters and refused to submit to breath samples. After being processed she was released to a sober party. Ptl Robbins investigated. 

On 5/6/15 @ 10:27pm - A 34 year old resident of Columbia St was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance after patrol was called to the intersection of South Washington and New Market Rd for a report of a man down in the roadway. The suspect was rolling in the road and shouting. The suspect resisted when officers attempted to arrest him and was later found to be under the influence of narcotics. The suspect was sent to the hospital and later charged. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 5/6/15 @ 1:56am - A 37 year old man was arrested and charged with contempt of court after patrol was called to a North Ave business reporting him as an unwanted customer. Upon arrival the suspect was checked for warrants and it was discovered that he had an outstanding warrant out of New Brunswick for his arrest. The subject was arrested, processed and later turned over to New Brunswick Pd. Ptl Nierodzik investigated. 

On 5/4/15 @ 6:16pm - A 30 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with eluding following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Patrol attempted to stop the vehicle for improperly passing vehicles on North Washington Ave but the vehicle would not stop. The vehicle was eventually blocked in by other patrol units on South Washington Ave in Piscataway. The driver was arrested, processed and later released. Sgt Beenders investigated. 

On 5/4/15 @ 2:10am - A 33 year old resident of Lebanon was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave. The vehicle was stopped for expired registration and the driver was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Bridgewater. The suspect was arrested, processed and later turned over to Bridgewater Pd. Ptl Goldman investigated. 


April 2015


On 4/30/15 @ 8:37pm - A 44 year old resident of Bridgewater was arrested and charged with criminal trespass following a call for a landlord/tenant dispute which occurred the previous night. The victim stated that the landlord used a key to make entry into her apartment while she was not home. The landlord stated he was looking for rent money and to "make a point" he decided to take the door knob and deadbolt off of the door. The suspect was charged with criminal trespass, processed and later released. Ptl O'neill investigated. 

On 4/29/15 @ 10:26pm - A 23 year old resident of Middlesex was arrested and charged with DWI, resisting arrest, obstruction and assaulting a police officer following a motor vehicle accident on New Market Rd. Patrol received a call for a hit and run accident where a parked vehicle was struck by another vehicle that had left the scene. The suspect vehicle was found several blocks away with heavy front end damage and a flat tire. The driver was found to be intoxicated and was arrested. After being arrested the suspect refused to enter the rear of the patrol vehicle to be transported and had to be forced into the vehicle. Once at headquarters the suspect then kicked officers multiple times while exiting the patrol vehicle. The suspect was brought into headquarters where she was found to be almost three times over the legal blood alcohol limit. She then refused to give pedigree information and refused to be photographed while in headquarters. She was processed and later released to a sober party. Ptl Robbins investigated. 

On 4/25/15 @ 11:31pm - A 30 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with contempt of court and possession of a police radio while in commission of a crime following a motor vehicle stop on the 400 block of Front St. The vehicle was stopped for improper display of temp tags and the driver was found to have a suspended license and a warrant for his arrest. After a consent search of the vehicle a police scanner was found, which was tuned into Plainfield Pd's channel. The suspect was brought to headquarters where he was processed and later released. Sgt Doherty investigated. 

On 4/25/15 @ 12:38am - A 45 year old resident of Edison was arrested and charged with DWI, obstruction and receiving stolen property after a motor vehicle stop on the 300 block of Front St. The vehicle was stopped for striking a curb while turning. The driver was found to be under the influence of prescription pills and was arrested. A female's wallet was found in the vehicle and after investigation it was discovered that the wallet was stolen from the owner earlier in the night. The suspect was brought into headquarters for processing where he refused to give pedigree information, leading to the obstruction charge. He was processed and later released to a sober party. Ptl Robbins investigated. 

On 4/24/15 @ 10:34pm - A 32 year old resident of Hillsborough was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on  North Washington Ave. A passing motorist flagged down an officer and told him the suspect vehicle had driven into a house in South Plainfield and fled the scene. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested and brought to headquarters for processing where his blood alcohol content was found to be more than double the legal limit. After processing he was released to a sober party. Sgt Delbuono investigated. 

On 4/21/15 @ 12:40am - A 50 year old resident of Millburn was arrested and charged with criminal trespass and two counts of contempt of court after he was found in a closed area of the train station. Patrol was doing a routine check of the train station and found the suspect sleeping in a locked waiting area of the train station. The suspect was arrested and also found to have two outstanding warrants for his arrest. The suspect was processed and later released. Ptl Robbins investigated.  

On 4/19/15 @ 2:07am - A 34 year old resident of Dunellen was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Rd. The vehicle was stopped for speeding and the driver was found to be intoxicated. She was arrested, processed and later released to a sober party. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 4/18/15 @ 2:57am - A 21 year old resident of Greenbrook was arrested and charged with DWI, refusal to submit to breath tests and obstruction after being stopped in the parking lot of Quick Check on North Ave. Workers had called and informed patrol that a customer was highly intoxicated and about to leave in his vehicle. Patrol arrived on scene as the suspect was about to drive away. He refused to exit his vehicle to perform field sobriety tests and was charged with obstruction. Once in headquarters he also refused to submit samples of his breath and was charged with refusal. The suspect was processed and later released to a sober party. Ptl Daniel investigated. 

On 4/16/15 @ 2:08am - A 28 year old resident of Dunellen was arrested and charged with DWI and refusal to submit to breath testing after a motor vehicle stop on the 300 block of First St. The vehicle was stopped for driving without its headlights on and the driver was found to be intoxicated. He arrested and brought to headquarters for processing where he refused to give samples of his breath. He was charged and later released to a sober party. Sgt. Doherty investigated. 

On 4/15/15 @ 11:52am - A 32 year old resident of Dunellen Ave reported being the victim of burglary and theft from her motor vehicle at some point during the over night hours. The victim reported leaving her vehicle unlocked in her driveway the night prior and the following morning discovered that her wallet, which she left in the vehicle, was missing. Ptl Holovacko investigated. 

On 4/14/15 @ 1:43am - A 53 year old resident of Piscataway was arrested and charged with DWI and refusal to submit to breath testing. The suspect was stopped on Bound Brook Rd for speeding and swerving over the double yellow line. The driver was found to be intoxicated and taken to headquarters for processing where he then refused to submit breath samples. He was charged and later released to a sober party. Sgt Delbuono investigated. 

On 4/13/15 @ 12:30am - A 22 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Whittier Ave. The vehicle was stopped for speeding and failing to maintain its lane. The driver granted consent to search her vehicle and drug paraphernalia was found inside. She was arrested and brought to headquarters where she was processed and later released. Ptl Robbins investigated. 

On 4/12/15 @ 12:43am - A 23 year old resident of Bound Brook was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for swerving and the driver was found to not have a driver's license. The passenger volunteered to driver the vehicle and when his license was checked an outstanding warrant for his arrest was found. He was arrested, brought to headquarters to be processed and later posted bail. Sgt Doherty investigated. 

On 4/11/15 @ 2:05am - A 29 year old resident of Windsor was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for speeding and swerving into the opposite lane of traffic on North Ave. The driver was found to be intoxicated and was arrested. He was brought to headquarters where he was processed and later turned over to a sober party. Sgt Doherty investigated. 

On 4/8/15 @ 1:50am - A 19 year old resident of Middlesex was arrested and charged with minor possessing alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Rd. The vehicle was stopped for driving without its headlights on. The driver granted consent to search the vehicle and inside was found several alcoholic beverages and drug paraphernalia. The suspect was brought to headquarters where he was processed and later released. Ptl Robbins investigated. 

On 4/8/15 @ 12:14am - A 38 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after being stopped for riding a bicycle without a light on it. The suspect became very disorderly during the stop and was arrested for disorderly conduct. He was brought to headquarters where he was processed and later released. Ptl Robbins investigated. 

On 4/7/15 @ 5:01pm - A 21 year old resident of Dunellen was arrested and charged with contempt of court after patrol was called to the area of West Fourth St on a report that the subject in question had outstanding warrants and was in the area. The subject was located, the warrants were confirmed and the subject was arrested. He was brought to headquarters where he was processed and later transported to Middlesex County Jail. On 4/5/15 @ 12:28am - A 26 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on the 100 block of Dunellen Ave. The vehicle was stopped for swerving over the yellow lane dividers on North Ave. The driver was found to be intoxicated and arrested and brought to headquarters for processing. He was later released to a sober party. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 4/4/15 @ 2:43am - A 27 year old resident of Dunellen was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. The vehicle was stopped for swerving and having tinted windows. The driver was found to be intoxicated and was arrested. He was brought to headquarters where he was found to be more than double the legal limit. He was processed and later released to a sober party. Ptl Daniel investigated. 

On 4/2/15 @ 2:37am - A 34 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension and three counts of contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on the 300 block of Front St. The vehicle was stopped for speeding and failure to observe a traffic signal. The rear seat passenger was not wearing a seatbelt and when asked for his identification he gave a false name. Upon finding the suspect's true identity three warrants for his arrest were discovered. He was arrested and brought to headquarters where he was processed and later posted bail. Ptl Robbins investigated. 

March 2015

On 3/31/15 @ 8:30am - A 24 year old resident of Flemington reported her vehicle stolen from the 100 block of Front St. The victim stated that she had left the vehicle secured and when she went to get her vehicle in the morning she noticed it was gone. Sgt Chin investigated. 

On 3/28/15 @ 11:20pm - A 45 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on Walnut St. The vehicle was stopped for having suspended registration and the driver had a no bail warrant out of Union County. He was arrested and brought to headquarters to be processed. He was later turned over to Union County Sheriff's Dept. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 3/28/15 @ 12:10am - A 23 year old resident of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and a 24 year old resident of North Plainfield was charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on Front St. The vehicle was stopped for almost colliding with a patrol vehicle while making a turn. The vehicle smelled strongly of marijuana and a consent search was granted. Several bags of marijuana were found in the vehicle and investigation determined which passenger they belonged to. The second passenger was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest as well. Both were arrested and brought to headquarters for processing, after which they were both released. Ptl Robbins investigated. 

On 3/26/15 @ 11:39pm - A 22 year old resident of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for an illegal right on red. The driver was found to have a warrant out for his arrest out of North Plainfield. He was arrested and brought to headquarters where he was processed and later posted bail. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 3/22/15 @ 11:58pm - A 59 year old resident of Mountainview Ter reported being the victim of an attempted burglary to their residence. The victim stated they heard footsteps on their rear deck. When they went to investigated they saw a dark figure running from the deck towards the woods on the Greenbrook border. The area was checked with negative results. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 03/23/2015 @ 8:35pm - 52-year-old woman's body was burned in a fire in a field located near the NJ Transit railway and South Second Street in the borough.  While the death appears to be suspicious, the cause has yet to be determined. The results of an autopsy by the Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office were not immediately available.  During the investigation, a 54 year old male was arrested and charged in an unrelated case with burglary, possession of a burglary tool and terroristic threats for threatening police officers. The officers were investigating the death when they were threatened by the sbuject, who is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in North Brunswick in lieu of $100,000 bail. That subject has not been charged in connection with the death of the victim.  The death is being investigated by Sgt. Jeff Delbuono of the Dunellen Police Department and Detective Wayne Canastra of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. The investigation began when railroad workers on the Raritan Valley Line saw the field fire and contacted NJ Transit Police, who notified Dunellen Police. The victim was discovered as the brief fire was extinguished by Dunellen firefighters.  The investigation is active and is continuing. On 3/22/15 @ 1:51am - A 30 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Rd. The vehicle was stopped for speeding and swerving. The driver was found to be intoxicated and arrested. He was brought to headquarters where he was processed and later released to a sober party. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 3/21/15 @ 12:40am - A 28 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave. The vehicle was stopped in the road with the driver asleep at the wheel. The driver was found to be intoxicated and arrested. He was brought to headquarters where he was processed and later released to a sober party. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 3/18/15 @ 12:03am - A 58 year old resident of Piscataway was arrested and charged with DWI and refusing to submit breath samples after being stopped on South Ave for speeding and making an illegal right on red. The driver was found to be intoxicated and arrested. He was brought to headquarters where he refused to give breath samples. He was processed and later released to a sober party. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 3/15/15 @ 1:01am - A 21 year old resident of Dunellen was arrested and charged with DWI and being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, a 20 year old resident of Dunellen was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, and a 21 year old resident of Dunellen was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on the 300 block of Second St. The vehicle was stopped for being involved in a hit and run, striking a vehicle and fleeing the scene on the 700 block of Second St. The driver was found to be under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance and intoxicated and the each passenger had drug paraphernalia on their person in the vehicle. All parties were processed and later released to a sober party. Ptl O'neill investigated. 

On 3/12/15 @ 11:59pm - A 38 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with contempt of court after patrol responded to the area of 500 block of North Ave for a noise complaint. One of the parties involved was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was arrested, processed and later turned over to Union County Sheriff's Dept on his warrant. Ptl Goldman investigated.

On 3/12/15 @ 1:12am - A 48 year old resident of Piscataway was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on Whittier Ave. The vehicle's registered owner had a warrant out for his arrest. The driver was arrested during the stop without incident. He was processed and later posted bail. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 3/10/15 @ 2:21am - A 37 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with eluding after failing to stop for police on North Ave. The vehicle was swerving on North Ave and continued to drive east on North Ave into Plainfield after police activated lights and sirens to stop the vehicle. The vehicle eventually stopped for a red light in Plainfield at Clinton Ave where it was boxed in and the driver was taken into custody without incident. The driver was charged with eluding and later released. Sgt Doherty investigated. 

On 3/8/15 @ 1:48am - A 24 year old resident of Middlesex was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for speeding and swerving over the yellow lane dividers on Bound Brook Rd. The driver was found to be intoxicated and arrested. He was brought to headquarters where he was processed and later released to a sober party. Sgt Delbuono investigated. 

On 3/7/15 @ 7:22am - A 39 year old resident of Jefferson Ave reported being the victim of motor vehicle theft. The victim stated that she started her vehicle and left it running to warm up. When she exited her home to return to her vehicle she saw that it was gone. There were no witnesses. Sgt Beenders investigated. 

On 3/7/15 @ 2:52am - A 19 year old resident of Bernardsville was arrested and charged with DWI after being stopped on Bound Brook Rd. A motorist had advised patrol of a vehicle that had been driving on a flat tire in the area. The vehicle was located and the driver was found to be intoxicated. The driver was arrested, processed and later released to a sober party. Ptl Daniel investigated. 

On 3/4/15 @ 7:08pm - A 40 year old resident of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a report of a hit and run accident on Prospect Ave. The suspect vehicle struck a parked vehicle and was located a block away from the accident. The passenger of the vehicle was found to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of Union Twp. She was arrested, processed and later turned over to Union Twp Pd on her warrant. Sgt Doherty investigated. 

February 2015

On 2/28/15 @ 12:56pm - A 29 year old resident of Kendall Park was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for expired and suspended registration. The driver was found to have two warrants for her arrest out of South Plainfield. The suspect was arrested, processed and later posted bail. Ptl Deangelo investigated. 

On 2/28/15 @ 1:54am - A 25 year old resident of Fourth St was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on Second St. The vehicle was stopped for swerving on Jackson Ave and almost striking a parked motor vehicle. The driver was found to be intoxicated and arrested. He was transported to headquarters where he was processed and later released to a sober party. Sgt Doherty investigated. 

On 2/26/15 @ 11:48pm - A 38 year old resident of Gertrude Ter and a 45 year old resident of Gertrude Ter both reported being the victims of criminal mischief and harassment. The victims stated that both of their vehicles were scratched and that someone had been looking into the window of their residence, which they discovered by seeing footprints in the snow near their window. No suspects were located at the scene. Ptl Daniel investigated. 

On 2/23/15 @ 10:44am - A 30 year old resident of Bound Brook Rd was arrested and charged with contempt of court after officers responded to a dispute on Bound Brook Rd. The subject was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Dunellen for his arrest. He was arrested, processed and later released. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 2/23/15 @ 1:37am - A 50 year old resident of Hillsborough was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Rd. The vehicle was stopped for tailgating and swerving in its lane. The driver was found to be intoxicated and was arrested. After being processed the driver was released to a sober party. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 2/22/15 @ 12:34pm - A 44 year old resident of Piscataway was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on Washington Ave. The suspect was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Dunellen. She was arrested, processed, and later posted bail. Ptl Lovell investigated. 

On 2/22/15 @ 2:09am - A 24 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle accident on the 100 block of South Washington Ave. The suspect had slid off the roadway and struck a pole. The driver was found to be intoxicated, arrested and brought to headquarters to be processed. The subject was later released to a sober party. Sgt Delbuono investigated. 

On 2/20/15 @ 10:37pm - A 59 year old resident of Washington Ave was arrested and charged with contempt of court. Officers responded to the residence to arrest the subject on an outstanding warrant out of Dunellen. The subject was arrested without incident and transported to Middlesex County Jail. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 2/18/15 @ 11:18pm - A 39 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with DWI after a motor vehicle stop on Washington Ave. The subject's vehicle was observed stopped in traffic at an intersection with a green light. Upon approaching the vehicle the driver was found to be sleeping. After sobriety tests it was discovered that the subject was intoxicated. On 2/16/15 @ 10:40pm - A 35 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with DWI after his vehicle almost struck another vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle stopped the suspect vehicle and took his keys while waiting for patrol to arrive. Upon patrol's arrival the suspect was found to be intoxicated and arrested. The suspect was brought to headquarters where he was found to be over double the legal limit. He was processed and later released to a sober party. Ptl Daniel investigated. 

On 2/12/15 @ 6:33am - A 29 year old resident of Washington Ave was arrested and charged with two counts of contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Rd. The vehicle was stopped for having expired registration. The driver was found to have two outstanding warrants out of Dunellen for her arrest. The driver was arrested, processed and later posted bail. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 2/12/15 @ 1:14am - A 52 year old resident of Raritan was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for not signaling a turn and not having operational license plate lights. The driver was found to also have a suspended license and a warrant out for his arrest from Watchung. The subject was arrested, processed and later posted bail. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 2/11/15 @ 3:06am - A 28 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on Washington Ave. The vehicle was stopped for speeding and upon approaching the vehicle the arresting officer smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver consented to a search of the vehicle and a sandwich bag containing marijuana was found. The subject was arrested, processed and later released. Ptl Robbins investigated. 

On 2/10/15 @ 10:34pm - A 50 year old resident of Millburn was arrested and charged with three counts of contempt of court. The subject was known to have outstanding warrants by the arresting officer and was seen near the Dunellen Train Station. The subject was arrested on scene without incident. He was processed at headquarters and later transported to Middlesex County Jail. Sgt Doherty investigated. 

On 2/10/15 @ 5:32pm - A 25 year old resident of Manville was arrested and charged with contempt of court after coming to headquarters to attempt to get her vehicle out of police impound. While in headquarters an outstanding warrant for the subject's arrest was located. After being processed the subject posted bail and was released. Sgt Beenders investigated. 

On 2/7/15 @ 12:44pm - A 64 year old resident of West Fourth St reported being the victim of burglary, theft and criminal mischief. The victim stated that someone gained access to his enclosed front porch and stolen his 8 ft ladder. The victim did not know if the door to the porch was left open before he left the residence. Ptl Dudley investigated. 

On 2/4/15 @ 12:01am - A 19 year old resident of Piscataway was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Rd. The vehicle was stopped for speeding and failure to obey marked lanes. During the stop two empty cans of alcohol were also found in the vehicle. The driver was found to be intoxicated after sobriety tests, arrested and brought to headquarters for processing. The subject was later released to  a sober party. Sgt Delbuono investigated. 


January 2015

On 1/31/15 @ 11:37pm - A 20 year old resident of North Ave was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on High St. The vehicle was stopped in the middle of the road waiting for someone and a check of the vehicle's registration showed that the owner had an outstanding warrant from Dunellen for his arrest. The suspect was arrested and brought to headquarters for processing where he later posted bail and was released. Sgt. Doherty investigated. 

On 1/31/15 @ 8:57pm - A 42 year old resident of Princeton reported being the victim of harassment and terroristic threats. The victim called police stating that an evicted tenant from her rental property was gathering some of her belongings from the apartment and before leaving she started a verbal argument with the victim, at one point stating that she would burn the house down. The victim did  not wish to sign complaints. Sgt Doherty investigated. 

On 1/30/15 @ 6:21pm - A 24 year old resident of Bound Brook Rd reported being the victim of a theft at a North Ave business. The victim stated that she was done bagging groceries and left her wallet near the bagging area unintentionally. The next customer in line was seen on surveillance video taking the victim's wallet and leaving the store. The suspect is described as a heavy set black female wearing hospital scrubs. Ptl Holovacko investigated. 

On 1/29/15 @ 11:35pm - A 42 year old resident of North Ave Ext was arrested and charged with two counts of contempt of court after patrol responded to his residence in an effort to serve two outstanding warrants. The suspect was found in his residence and arrested without incident. He was brought to headquarters where he was processed and later transported to Middlesex County Jail. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 1/28/15 @ 4:14pm - A 36 year old resident of Gertrude Ter was arrested and charged with robbery, theft and simple assault after patrol received a call for a robbery of a wallet which had just occurred. The victim told patrol that an acquaintance of his had forcefully taken his wallet from his pants pocket and left the area. Patrol found the suspect based off of the description given by the victim and she was still in possession of the stolen wallet. The suspect was arrested, processed and later transported to the Middlesex County Jail. Ptl O'neill investigated. 

On 1/22/15 @ 7:41pm - A 63 year old resident of West Fourth St reported being the victim of an attempted burglary. The victim stated that someone tried to gain access to his house through a window and left when the suspect heard him open the door to that room. The victim believes it could have been his son trying to get back into the house after being kicked out earlier in the week. Ptl Robbins investigated. 

On 1/18/15 @ 2:52am - A 30 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with DWI, possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of crack cocaine, and possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Rd. The vehicle was stopped for swerving into the opposite lane of travel and illegally passing another vehicle on Bound Brook Rd. The suspect was found to be intoxicated and inside of the vehicle over two bricks of heroin were found, as well as fifteen rocks of crack cocaine. The suspect was brought to headquarters for processing where he was found to be double the legal limit. He was processed, posted bail and later released to a sober party. Sgt. Doherty investigated. 

On 1/17/15 @ 6:26am - A 31 year old resident of Piscataway was arrested and charged with DWI and refusing to submit to breath tests and his 23 year old wife was charged with hindering the apprehension of another following a motor vehicle accident on West 4th St. The male suspect was driving the vehicle while consuming alcohol and struck a parked vehicle. He then fled the scene on foot and went to hide in his residence where his wife was. Patrol found the residence of owner of the vehicle and spoke to the female, who stated she was driving. She was brought back to the accident scene where it was eventually discovered she was lying about being the driver to try to protect her husband. The husband was then found hiding in the house and found to be intoxicated. Both were charged and processed at headquarters and later released. Ptl Robbins investigated. 

On 1/16/15 @ 8:05pm - A 36 year old resident of Plainfield was arrested and charged with exhibiting false identification, possessing false identification and hindering apprehension following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for driving without headlights on. The driver gave the identification of another person because she had a suspended license. The driver's true identity was discovered and she was arrested. She was brought to headquarters where she was processed, posted bail and later released. Ptl Robbins investigated. 

On 1/12/15 @ 2:06am - A 33 year old resident of Warren was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Rd for speeding and drifting over the center lane. The driver was found to be intoxicated and arrested. The suspect was brought to headquarters where she was found to be over double the legal limit. She was later released to a sober party. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 1/11/15 @ 1:09am - A 25 year old resident of Fourth St. was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Rd for tailgating. The driver was found to be intoxicated and arrested. The suspect was processed at headquarters and found to be over double the legal limit. He was later released to a sober party. Sgt Delbuono investigated. 

On 1/6/15 @ 1:08am - A 56 year old resident of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with contempt of court after parking his vehicle on Bound Brook Rd. The vehicle had a suspended registration and when the driver arrived on scene when his vehicle was being towed he was arrested for an outstanding warrant. The suspect was processed and later released. Ptl Goldman investigated. 

On 1/3/15 @ 5:31pm - A 47 year old resident of the 300 block of Fairview Ave reported being the victim of criminal mischief. The victim stated that someone had damaged their christmas lawn decorations with a golf club. There were no witnesses to this incident. Ptl Robbins investigated. 

On 1/2/15 @ 9:11pm - A 21 year old resident of Lawrence Harbor was arrested and charged with two counts of contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. The vehicle was stopped for having a headlight out and the driver was found to have a suspended license and two warrants for his arrest. The suspect was arrested and brought to headquarters to be processed where he later posted bail and was released. Ptl Goldman investigated.
