On 1/31/2023 at 9:57 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of a missing/runaway juvenile female with endangering circumstances. With assistance from the Dunellen Detective Bureau and the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office, a tracking K-9 was utilized and the missing juvenile was ultimately located, unharmed. Ptlm. On 1/27/2023 at 10:19 pm, Julissa Martinez, 32, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Mischief, Obstructing the Administration of Law, and Assault on Police (2 cts) following police response to an incident at Quick Chek in which there was a racially motivated altercation. Additionally she was found to have a warrant for her arrest out of North Plainfield. Ms. Martinez was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released with a court appearance date. Ptlm. On 1/27/2023 at 2:29 am, Erick Panta, 30, of Scotch Plains was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave. Mr. Panta was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing where he refused to provide samples of his breath. On 1/26/2023, Jeffery Hill, 56, of Middlesex was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Under the Influence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (Cocaine) following investigation into a motor vehicle crash on 12/22/2022. Mr. Hill was mailed a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Manuel Santiago investigated.

On 1/24/2023 at 7:00 am, patrol responded to Columbia Park for the report of Criminal Mischief. DPW workers advised of damage to several signs and structures in the park by a paintball gun. The damage was estimated at $500. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 1/22/2023 at 1:47 am, Sally Russo, 60, of Middlesex was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Ms. Russo was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Manuel Santiago investigated.

On 1/21/2023 at 1:58 am, Jose Gervacio-Lopez, 40, of Perth Amboy was arrested after patrol, investigating a separate incident, discovered multiple warrants for his arrest out of Perth Amboy totaling $2,500. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to Perth Amboy PD on their warrants. Ptlm. Manuel Santiago investigated.

On 1/18/2023 at 5:00 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft. The victim reported two stolen catalytic converters from vehicles parked on the 400 blk of Dunellen Ave. Ptlm. Brian O'Neill investigated.

On 1/18/2023 at 11:48 am, patrol responded to the 100 blk of Dunellen Ave for the reported Theft. The victim reported that an unknown person had removed the catalytic converter from their parked Honda sometime overnight. Ptlm. Brian O'Neill investigated.

On 1/17/2023 at 5:47 pm, patrol responded along with the Dunellen Fire Department to the 200 blk of North Washington Ave for a motor vehicle fire. While not believed to be suspicious at this time, this case remains under investigation by the Middlesex County Fire Marshal's Office and Arson Investigator Det. Nicholas Goldman.

On 1/17/2023 at 5:38 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Fraud. The victim, a resident of the 300 blk of Sanford Ave, reported that an unknown individual had opened an AT&T account in their name and charged over $1,400. Sgt. Christopher Lovell investigated.

On 1/16/2023 at 9:43 pm, Maria Salazar-Campos, 53, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Rd. Ms. Salazar-Campos was found to have a warrant for her arrest out of Dunellen in the amount of $700. She was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after posting bail. Ptlm. On 1/14/2023 at 3:19 am, Augusto Tix-Olmos, 22, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal To Submit Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Tix-Olmos was brought to Dunellen PD for processing where he refused to provide breath samples. On 1/13/2023 at 4:27 pm, patrol responded to the 500 blk of South Ave where Middlesex PD had located a vehicle wanted by NYPD in a criminal investigation. The vehicle was secured and turned over to the NYPD. Det. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 1/13/2023 at 9:30 am, patrol responded to the 200 blk of Sanford Ave for the report of Theft. A neighbor reported seeing an unknown male steal an unsecured bicycle from a nearby residence. Ptlm. Brian O'Neill investigated.

On 1/10/2023 at 7:05 am, patrol responded to the 600 blk of Madison Ave for the reported Catalytic Converter Theft. The victim reported that sometime during the overnight hours an unknown person had removed the catalytic converter from their vehicle which had been parked on the street. Ptlm. On 1/10/2023 at 12:58 am, Omar Meki, 18, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Jackson Ave. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 1/9/2023 at 10:52 am, patrol received a walk-in report of a Lost Passport. The victim, a Dunellen Resident, reported losing their foreign passport several days earlier. Ptlm. James Daniel investigated.

On 1/9/2023 at 8:54 am, patrol received a walk-in report of a Lost Wallet. The victim, whom had been patronizing several Dunellen Businesses, realized that his wallet was not lost and requested a police report. Ptlm. Brian O'Neill investigated.

On 1/8/2023 at 12:39 pm, patrol received a walk-in report from a Dunellen resident reporting Fraud. The victim reported that an unknown individual had intercepted and cashed a check meant for the victim. Ptlm. Joe Dudley investigated.

On 1/8/2023 at 1:19 am, Alan Laxina, 35, of Nutley was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave. Mr. Laxina was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.

On 1/7/2023 at 2:01 am, Oscar Cesar-Nunez, 23, of Piscataway was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave in which he was found to have warrants out of Piscataway, Branchburg, and Bridgewater. On 1/6/2023 at 10:55 pm, Autumn Mitchell, 25, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples after police response to a motor vehicle crash on South Washington Ave in which a parked car was struck causing significant damage. Ms. Mitchell was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing where she refused to submit samples of her breath. She was later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Manuel Santiago investigated.

On 1/5/2023 at 11:38 pm, Daniel Rodriguez-Bravo, 24, of Bridgeton was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop on Whittier Ave. Mr. Rodriguez-Bravo was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing where he refused to provide samples of his breath. On 1/5/2023 at 2:33 am, Cenen Valentin-Rivera, 27, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop on the 400 blk of Bound Brook Rd. Mr. Valentin-Rivera was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing where he refused to provide breath samples. He was later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 1/1/2023 at 11:07 pm, Edison Smith-Quito, 18, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest for his actions after patrol initiated contact for urinating in public. Mr. Smith-Quito was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.

On 1/1/2023 at 5:15 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft by Deception. The victim, a resident of the 200 blk of Orange St. reported falling victim to a Facebook scam while attempting to purchase a puppy and being conned out of $2,470 in gift cards.
