On 4/13/2026 at 12:06 am, Broderick Sanchez-Tates, 22, of Middlesex was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples after police were initially called to the report of Vandalism on Center St. Mr. Sanchez-Tates was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing where he refused to provide breath samples. He was later released to a sober friend. Sgt. Keith Irons investigated.
On 4/12/2026 at 11:43 am, Ramiro Perez, 34, of Middlesex was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Perez was found to have a warrant out of Middlesex in the amount of $1,500. He was placed under arrest and turned over to Middlesex PD on their warrant. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.
On 4/12/2026 at 2:10 am, Hector Guaman-Guaman, 38, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Guaman-Guaman was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. On 4/11/2026 at 9:41 pm, patrol responded to Sun Power Gas on North Ave for the reported Property Damage. A vehicle had driven forward with the gas pump still attached, causing damage. Ptlm. Saul Vargas investigated.
On 4/10/2026 at 11:57 pm, Angel Bendo, 32, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following investigation when patrol observed a female urinating on the sidewalk alongside Mr. Bendo's stopped vehicle. Mr. Bendo was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Sgt. Keith Irons investigated.
On 4/7/2026 at 2:55 am, Kevin Veliz, 34, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on Front St. He was found to have a warrant out of Middlesex in the amount of $1,000. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after posting bail. Sgt. Keith Irons investigated.
On 4/4/2026 at 12:55 pm, Yessenia Calles, 28, of Carteret was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on West Fourth St. in which she was found to have warrants out of Carteret and Woodbridge totaling $1,750. Ms. Calles was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released with new court dates after posting bail. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.
On 4/3/2026 at 12:27 am, Francis Kettrick, 38, of Piscataway was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on South Ave in which he was found to have a warrant out of Milltown in the amount of $1,000. Mr. Kettrick was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to Milltown PD on their warrant. Ptlm. Saul Vargas investigated.
On 4/3/2026, Terrence Davis, 42, of New Brunswick was charged with Shoplifting following investigation into an incident at Advance Auto on 3/22/2026. He was mailed a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Paul Condit investigated.
On 4/2/2026 at 10:30 am, patrol responded to the 100 blk of New Market Ave for the reported Structure Fire. Patrol arrived to find significant fire on the first and second floors of the residence and quickly confirmed that all persons had safely exited the structure. The Dunellen Fire Department arrived, assisted by Fire Departments from Green Brook, Middlesex, New Markket, South Plainfield and North Stelton, along with Dunellen Rescue Squad, JFK EMS, and Dunellen OEM. The cause of the fire remains under the investigation of the Middlesex County Fire Marshal's Office. Ptlm. Andrew Mortensen and DSgt. Nicholas Goldman investigated.
