On 8/29/2026 at 11:35 pm, Hugo Leon-Cholula, 48, of New Brunswick was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Ahmon Hardy investigated.

On 8/29/2026 at 12:30 am, Alejandro Solis-Lopez. 53, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Solis-Lopez was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. On 8/28/2026 at 4:42 pm, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Dunellen Ave for the reported Theft. The victim reported providing financial information to a scammer who subsequently removed $3,200 from her online account. Sgt. Brian Robbins investigated.

On 8/28/2026 at 3:59 pm, Andrew McKenzie, 36, of New York was arrested and charged with Money Laundering, Insurance Fraud, and Theft by Deception following a several months investigation in which he cashed a fraudulent life insurance cash out in the amount of $215,000. Mr. McKenzie was apprehended by local authorities and later exrtradited to Dunellen PD where he was processed and remanded to the Middlesex County Jail. Det. Anthony Issler investigated.

On 8/27/2026 at 6:04 pm, patrol responded to Advanced Auto on North Ave for the reported Shoplifting. Staff reported that an unknown hispanic male had attempted to leave the store with $179 in unpaid items. He became physically confrontational with staff attempting to stop him, but ultimately fled before police arrived. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.

On 8/27/2026 at 10:33 am, patrol responded to Family Dollar on North Ave for the reported Shoplifting. Staff reported that a black male wearing a dark camo shirt with white writing, dark pants, and carrying a dark book bag had taken at least $45 worth of items and fled before police arrived. Sgt. On 8/25/2026 at 10:52 pm, Anthony Marinaro, 22, of Green Brook was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop on the 200 blk of North Ave. He was taken to Dunellen HQ for processing, refused to provide breath samples and was later released to a sober friend. On 8/25/2026 at 2:27 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft by Deception. The victim, a Dunellen resident, reported giving $21,000 in cash to an unknown scammer. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 8/22/2026 at 12:43 am, Jason Arroyo, 19, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension and Possession of Alcohol on School Property after officers located him in Columbia Park after hours and he provided fictitious pedigree information. Mr. Arroyo was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance notice. DSgt. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 8/21/2026 at 7:20 am, patrol responded to the 100 blk of Pearl Pl for the report of Property Damage. The reporting party stated that a tree branch fell and struck her parked vehicle. Ptlm. Paul Condit investigated.

On 8/20/2026 at 1:40 pm, Christopher Stroka, 47, of Cranford was arrested and charged with Theft after police were initially called to Columbia Park for the report of a Stolen Bicycle. Thanks to the help of an airtag, Piscataway PD located Mr. Stroka operating the bicycle several hours later and he was taken into custody. Mr. Stroka was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 8/16/2026 at 2:18 am, Juan Pimbo-Palate, 42, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop. He was processed at Dunellen HQ and later released to a sober family member. Sgt. Keith Irons investigated.

On 8/15/2026 at 3:45 am, De'Shaun Stephens, 20, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Madison Ave. Mr. Stephens was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Sgt. Keith Irons investigated.

On 8/15/2026 at 12:20 am, Alex Aguirre-Cordova, 29, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Resisting Arrest after fleeing from officers on a bicycle when they attempted to conduct a stop. Mr. Aguirre-Cordova was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to EMS for a medical evaluation. Sgt. Keith Irons investigated.

On 8/14/2026 at 2:08 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft. The victim, a Dunellen business owner, reported several unauthorized wire transfers totaling $13,229. This case remains open. Ptlm. Andrew Mortensen investigated.

On 8/11/2026 at 11:15 pm, Edwin Chilel-Lopez, 34, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. Sgt. Keith Irons investigated.

On 8/11/2026 at 11:42 am, Guervens Bordes, 27, of Elizabeth was arrested and charged with Shoplifting after patrol was called to Family Dollar regarding a report of a male who had stolen a pair of glasses and (11) containers of laundry detergent valued at $50. Patrol located Mr. Bordes running from the area on foot with a large bag containing the items. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance notice. Ptlm. On 8/10/2026 at 8:20 pm, patrol responded to the 500 blk of Walnut St. for a report of Criminal Mischief. The victim reported that an unknown person damaged their parked vehicle. Ptlm. Ahmon Hardy investigated.

On 8/10/2026 at 12:36 pm, Laiza Cardona, 41, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court after patrol observed her in the parking lot of 7 Days Convenience. Officers knew she had a no-bail warrant for her arrest out of Franklin Twp. Ms. Cardona was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to Franklin Twp. PD on their warrant. DSgt. On 8/9/2026 at 5:49 pm, patrol responded to the 500 blk of Second St. for the reported Property Damage. The victim reported damage to his parked motor vehicle. Ptlm. Paul Condit investigated.

On 8/8/2026 at 3:15 pm, patrol responded to the 600 blk of Walnut St. for a report that a tree limb had fallen and damaged a parked vehicle during the prior night's storm. Ptlm. Paul Condit investigated.

On 8/7/2026 at 12:21 am, Juan Alvarado-Garcia, 21, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Mr. Alvarado-Garcia was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. On 8/6/2026 at 10:04 am, patrol responded to the 100 blk of Dunellen Ave for the reported Burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim reported that sometime overnight an unknown person accessed their unlocked vehicle and removed approximately $6 in quarters. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 8/6/2026 at 1:53 am, patrol received a walk-in report of a Stolen Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that their Infiniti was stolen from the 100 blk of Dunellen Ave after it was parked unlocked with the keys inside. Ptlm. Saul Vargas investigated.

On 8/3/2026 at 2:14 am, Tiffany Hatcher, 35, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Impersonating a Law Enforcement Officer following a motor vehicle stop on South Ave in which Ms. Hatcher falsely claimed to be a Newark Police Officer. Ms. Hatcher was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Ahmon Hardy investigated.

On 8/2/2026 at 4:24 pm, Dayana Yugcha-Gavilanes, 23, of North Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Ms. Yugcha-Gavilanes had an outstanding warrant from Woodbridge for $1,500. She was processed at Dunellen HQ and released after posting bail. Ptlm. Andrew Mortensen investigated.

On 8/2/2026 at 1:30 am, Jose Lara-Paz, 21, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on the 300 blk of Second St. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. Sgt. Keith Irons investigated.

On 8/1/2026 at 5:25 pm, J. Cruz Morales-Amaro, 58, of North Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on the 100 blk of North Ave. Mr. Morales-Amaro had an outstanding warrant from South Plainfield for $1,000. On 8/1/2026 at 11:01 am, Jahve Lettsome, 21, of Piscataway was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on Prospect Ave. Mr. Lettsome had outstanding warrants from Gloucester and Springfield totaling $1,500. On 8/1/2026 at 2:04 am, Roberto Toncel, 45, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following a motor stop on Front St. Mr. Toncel was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing where he refused to provide breath samples.
