On 8/28/2026 at 4:42 pm, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Dunellen Ave for the reported Theft. The victim reported providing financial information to a scammer who subsequently removed $3,200 from her online account. Sgt. Brian Robbins investigated.
On 8/28/2026 at 3:59 pm, Andrew McKenzie, 36, of New York was arrested and charged with Money Laundering, Insurance Fraud, and Theft by Deception following a several months investigation in which he cashed a fraudulent life insurance cash out in the amount of $215,000. Mr. McKenzie was apprehended by local authorities and later exrtradited to Dunellen PD where he was processed and remanded to the Middlesex County Jail. Det. Anthony Issler investigated.
On 8/27/2026 at 6:04 pm, patrol responded to Advanced Auto on North Ave for the reported Shoplifting. Staff reported that an unknown hispanic male had attempted to leave the store with $179 in unpaid items. He became physically confrontational with staff attempting to stop him, but ultimately fled before police arrived. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.
On 8/27/2026 at 10:33 am, patrol responded to Family Dollar on North Ave for the reported Shoplifting. Staff reported that a black male wearing a dark camo shirt with white writing, dark pants, and carrying a dark book bag had taken at least $45 worth of items and fled before police arrived. Sgt. On 8/25/2026 at 10:52 pm, Anthony Marinaro, 22, of Green Brook was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop on the 200 blk of North Ave. He was taken to Dunellen HQ for processing, refused to provide breath samples and was later released to a sober friend. On 8/20/2026 at 1:40 pm, Christopher Stroka, 47, of Cranford was arrested and charged with Theft after police were initially called to Columbia Park for the report of a Stolen Bicycle. Thanks to the help of an airtag, Piscataway PD located Mr. Stroka operating the bicycle several hours later and he was taken into custody.
