On 3/8/2026, at 12:06 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Burglary. The victim, a resident of Fairview Ave, reported that sometime during the night before an unknown person had entered his unlocked garage and stolen two motorcycles valued at $16,000. On 3/8/2026 at 1:58 am, Cristhian Pedreros-Valencia, 36, of South Carolina was arrested and charged with Obstructing the Admin of Law (2 cts), Resisting Arrest, and Refusal to Fingerprint after Pedreros-Velencia attempted to interfere with Field Sobriety Testing of another being conducted on North Washington Ave. Mr. Pedreros-Valencia was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing, then Robert Wood Johnson Somerset for a medical evaluation, and lastly remanded to the Middlesex County Jail. On 3/7/2026 at 8:06 am, patrol responded to the 100 blk of Jefferson Ave for the reported Burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had entered her unlocked car the night before and removed a laptop and marijuana. Ptlm. Jeffrey Jones investigated.
On 3/6/2026 at 9:52 pm, patrol was dispatched to an address on the 300 blk of Front St. for the reported Electrical Fire. DSgt. Nicholas Goldman and Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik responded and quickly conducted a sweep of the structure, safely getting the residents out of all 5 apartments very shortly before what was actually a fire in the walls and attic progressed significantly. Firefighters responded from Dunellen, Green Brook, Middlesex, New Market, South Plainfield, Arbor, North Stelton, River Road, Metuchen, Holmes Marshall, and Miltown. Dunellen Rescue Squad and Dunellen OEM responded as well. Despite their best efforts, the structure was a total loss. Further investigation was turned over to the Middlesex County Fire Marshal's Office. At this time the fire is not considered suspicious. DSgt. Nicholas Goldman investigated.
On 3/4/2026 at 5:51 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Illegal Dumping. The reporting person wished to report that on 3/1/2026 at 1:42 pm, they had observed an unknown male and female discarding a large amount of household goods on South Second St, tossing the items from the back of a rental box truck. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.
On 3/3/2026 at 1:51 pm, patrol responded to Depot Way for the reported Credit Card Fraud. The victim wished to document several unauthorized credit card charges. Ptlm. Paul Condit investigated.
On 3/1/2026 at 2:33 am, Alex Ramirez-Torres, 24, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on the 200 blk of Front St. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Sgt. Keith Irons investigated.
