On 1/31/2026 at 1:34 pm, Deisy Murcia-Nieto, 36,of Middlesex was arrested and charged with Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, and Defiant Trespass after patrol was called to an unwanted person on the 300 blk of Front St. Ms. Murcia-Nieto was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance notice. On 1/22/2026 at 11:30 am, Robert Duran, 36, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for his arrest charging him with Fraudulent Credit Card Use and Receiving Stolen Property following investigation into an incident on 12/25/2026 in which Mr. Duran used a stolen credit card and cash, proceeds from a recent motor vehicle burglary, to make a purchase at Tropical Supermarket. On 1/21/2026 at 9:54 pm, patrol responded to the report of an Assault at North Tavern. Only one of the parties was still located on scene, but was uncooperative and refused medical attention. Ptlm. Saul Vargas investigated.
On 1/20/2026 at 5:40 pm, Ghadi Halik, 22, of East Rutherford was arrested for Soliciting Without a Permit after patrol responded to numerous complaints and Mr. Halik was observed soliciting on the 100 blk of First St. where he refused to provide officers with a proper identification. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Paul Condit investigated.
On 1/13/2026 at 11:20 pm, William Hernandez-Escobar, 29, of Bernardsville was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated after patrol was called to the scene of a hit and run accident on North Ave. Mr. Hernandez-Escobar had fled the accident but was located in his damaged vehicle parked several blocks away. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. Sgt. Keith Irons investigated.
On 1/13/2026 at 10:49 am, Jose Alvarado-Cisneros, 34, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Obstructing the Admin of Law after the detective bureau attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop on the 400 blk of Jefferson Ave. Upon activation of the emergency lights, Mr. Alvarado-Cisneros abandoned the vehicle in the roadway and ran into his nearby home. The vehicle was impounded and Mr. Alvarado-Cisneros later came to Dunellen HQ to turn himself in. He was processed and released with a court appearance notice. DSgt. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 1/12/2026 at 8:04 pm, Christopher Navarro, 22, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court following service of an active warrant for his arrest out of Dunellen in the amount of $1,000. Mr. Navarro was arrested without incident and transported to Dunellen HQ where he was released after posting bail. Sgt. Keith Irons investigated.
On 1/4/2026 at 8:50pm, Malik Ward, 41, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault on Law Enforcement, Obstruction of Justice, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Attempt, and Terroristic Threats after patrol was originally called to Pearl Place for the report of an individual attempting to burglarize parked motor vehicles. After searching the area, Mr. Ward was located in the process of attempting other vehicles nearby and physically resisted officers once encountered. He was remanded to the Middlesex County Jail.
