On 9/7/2026 at 10:24 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft. The victim reported that an unknown person entered the unlocked vehicle overnight and removed $260 and several knives. Ptlm. Ahmon Hardy investigated.

On 9/5/2026 at 8:47 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Counterfeit Currency. The victim reported that several days earlier she had sold an item to an unknown person on Facebook Marketplace and later realized that $100 of the $200 provided to her was in prop money. Ptlm. On 9/5/2026 at 12:42 am, Christopher Stanek, 40, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Lincoln Ave. Mr. Stanek was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance notice. On 9/3/2026 at 5:19 pm, Ovidio Gonzalez-Barrera, 47, of Dunellen, and Rocher Machonis, 65, of Bridgewater were both arrested after patrol was called to a group of intoxicated individuals trespassing on the 200 blk of North Ave. Mr. Machonis was charged with Defiant Trespass and released from the scene. Mr. Gonzalez-Barrera was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing, charged with Defiant Trespass and Disorderly Conduct. He was released with a court appearance notice after processing. Ptlm. On 9/3/2026 at 12:49 pm, patrol responded to Dunellen Auto Glass for the reported Harassment. Representatives of the business reported an ongoing pattern of harassing phone calls from a nearby resident. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.
On 9/1/2026 at 12:19 am, Richard Valentin, 63, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on West Fourth St in which he was found to have (3) warrants out of South Plainfield totaling $1,500.
