On 9/29/2026 at 11:13 am, patrol received a walk-in report of Check Fraud. The victim reported that a check was stolen from their mailbox and fraudulently deposited. Det. Anthony Issler investigated.

On 9/27/2026 at 2:50 am, Mario Bastidas-Camacho, 50, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Mr. Bastidas-Camacho was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. On 9/26/2026 at 2:19 am, Angel Cojon-Ixpatac, 28, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Erik Ortiz investigated.

On 9/25/2026 at 11:58 pm, Michele Peace, 59, of Pennsylvania was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave. Ms. Peace was found to have a warrant out of Little Egg Harbor. Additionally she was in possession of a pipe containing suspected Crack Cocaine residue. Ms. Peace was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to EMS for a medical evaluation. Ptlm. On 9/25/2026 at 1:51 pm, Stephen Callands, 66, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Mr. Callands was found to have warrants out of Plainfield and North Plainfield totaling $800. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after receiving new court dates. Ptlmm. Andrew Mortensen investigated.

On 9/24/2026 at 8:26 pm, patrol responded to the 600 blk of North Ave Ext for the reported Fraud. The victim wished to report several unauthorized bank transactions totaling $556. Ptlm. Jeffrey Jones investigated.

On 9/23/2026 at 12:47 am, Sergio Gomez-Veliz, 24, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on South Ave. Mr. Gomez-Veliz was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Ahmon Hardy investigated.

On 9/22/2026 at 3:10 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft. The victim reported that on 9/9/2026 he had been detained by immigration officials in the parking lot of Station Plaza and that in the time since then, approximately $2,000 worth of currency and electronics had gone missing from the car. On 9/22/2026 at 9:53 am, Michael Schanck, 39, of Bridgewater was arrested and charged with Resisting Arrest following a motor vehicle stop North Ave. Mr. Schanck was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of the Somerset County Sheriff's Office in the amount of $34,628.64. He refused to willingly exit the vehicle and failed to properly comply with officers attempting to effectuate the arrest. Mr. Schanck was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to the Somerset County Sheriff's Office on their warrant. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 9/22/2026 at 1:14 am, Victor Nakada-Aponte, 39, of Middlesex was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Rd. Mr. Nakada-Aponte was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Sgt. Keith Irons investigated.

On 9/21/2026 at 11:28 am, Anron Wrighton, 28, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court after patrol responded to a verbal argument at The Nell. Mr. Wrighton fled before police arrived because he had several outstanding warrants for his arrest. Police located him nearby and arrested him without further incident. Mr. Wrighton was found to have warrants out of Englewood and the Middlesex County Sheriff's Office totaling $5,750. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing, posted bail and was later released. On the evening of 9/10/2026 and the early morning hours of 9/11/2026, residents of the Borough of Dunellen experienced a series of burglaries targeting parked motor vehicles. The suspect entered unlocked vehicles to remove contents; furthermore, three of the victims had their windows shattered to gain access. Using multiple surveillance camera feeds and information from numerous law enforcement agencies, Dunellen Police charged Devon T Reid, 32, of Newark. In relation to six cases from this recent crime spree, Mr. Reid has been charged with Burglary (5 cts), Criminal Mischief (3 cts), Theft over $500, Theft over $200, Theft of a Credit Card, Receiving a Stolen Government Document, and Tampering with Evidence. Mr. Reid traveled to Dunellen after engaging in similar behavior in Piscataway earlier that evening and continued this pattern in Plainfield after leaving Dunellen. A warrant has been issued for his arrest. DSgt. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 9/20/2026 at 1:50 am, Elsa Coreas DeSales, 48, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. She was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Erik Ortiz investigated.

On 9/19/2026 at 1:39 am, Jose Herrera-Calvo, 48, of New Providence was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Herrera-Calvo was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Erik Ortiz investigated.

On 9/18/2026, Edward Roach, 34, of Plainfield was charged with Displaying a Fraudulent Insurance Card following an investigation into a motor vehicle crash on 8/27/2026. Mr. Roach was mailed a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Paul Condit investigated.

On 9/17/2026 at 7:43 am, while reviewing surveillance footage related to several motor vehicle burglaries, Detectives observed the suspect discard an item into a flower pot outside of Police HQ. The item was retrieved and found to be a driver's license stolen out of a motor vehicle burglary in Piscataway and was returned to it's owner. DSgt. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 9/14/2026, Jason Arroyo, 22, of Piscataway was charged with Hindering Apprehension and Providing Alcohol to a Minor after an investigation revealed he provided fictitious pedigree information during an arrest on 8/22/2026. On 9/14/2026, Zahnaisha Henderson, 28, of Jersey City was charged with Theft following an investigation into an incident reported on 9/6/2026. Ms. Henderson was mailed a court appearance notice. DSgt. Nicholas Goldman investigated.

On 9/13/2026 at 1:18 pm, patrol responded to the 100 blk of Sanford Ave for the reported Criminal Mischief. The victim reported that all four tires on their parked vehicle had been slashed overnight. Ptlm. Andrew Mortensen investigated.

On 9/13/2026 at 1:52 am, Kevin Chavezvillagomez, 20, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated after patrol observed a driver slumped behind the wheel of a vehicle in the Quick Chek parking lot. On 9/13/2026 at 1:12 am, Edwin Torres-Hernandez, 32, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave. Mr. Torres-Hernandez was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. On 9/12/2026 at 4:47 pm, Edward Velasquez, 41, of South Plainfield was charged with Falsifying Records following a motor vehicle stop in which he was operating a vehicle with a fictitious license plate. He was issued a court appearance notice and released. Ptlm. Ahmon Hardy investigated.

On 9/12/2026 at 1:57 am, Justin Garcia, 24, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples after patrol observed a vehicle striking a concrete barrier. Mr. Garcia was brought to Dunellen HQ where he refused to provide breath samples. He was later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Gary Smith investigated.

On 9/12/2026, Moustafa Ahmed, 25, of Piscataway was charged with Falsifying Records following an investigation into a traffic stop on 8/31/2026, during which Mr. Ahmed operated a vehicle with a fictitious Tennessee Dealer Tag. On 9/12/2026 at 12:59 am, Andersi Dominguez-Roblero, 29, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated after patrol observed a driver asleep behind the wheel in the middle of the intersection at Front and Lincoln. Mr. Dominguez-Roblero was processed at Dunellen HQ and later released to a sober family member. Sgt. Keith Irons investigated.

On 9/12/2026 at 12:03 am, patrol responded to the 500 blk of North Ave for the reported Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that her vehicle's window was smashed the night prior and the contents were rummaged. Ptlm. Saul Vargas investigated.

On 9/11/2026 at 10:18 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that between 11 pm and 12 am the night prior, an unknown person had entered the unlocked vehicle on the 500 blk of Bound Brook Rd. and rummaged the contents, removing a pair of sunglasses valued at $250. On 9/11/2026 at 12:11 pm, patrol responded to the 500 blk of North Ave for the reported Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. Security footage showed the suspect entering the victim's vehicle at 11:18 pm and removing a wallet containing $50 cash and credit cards which he later used for $500 in fraudulent charges. Ptlm. On 9/11/2026 at 9:53 am, patrol observed an additional vehicle with a smashed window on the 600 blk of Bound Brook Rd. It appeared the window had been smashed during the prior night's burglaries; however, nothing appears to have been taken. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 9/11/2026 at 9:11 am, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Bound Brook Rd. for the reported Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. A suspect was captured on video at 12:10 am smashing the driver's side rear window and taking clothing valued at $200. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 9/11/2026 at 7:17 am, patrol responded to the 600 blk of Bound Brook Rd. for the reported Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. Sometime during the previous night, the suspect smashed the passenger side window and removed a wallet and identifying information. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 9/11/2026 at 1:18 am, patrol responded to the 600 blk of Bound Brook Rd. for the reported Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The suspect entered the unlocked vehicle and stole prescription medication. Ptlm. Gary Smith investigated.

On 9/9/2026 at 6:42 am, patrol responded to the 700 blk of First St. for the reported Motor Vehicle Theft. The victim reported that sometime in the previous hour an unknown person had taken the unlocked vehicle with the keys left inside. Ptlm. Paul Condit investigated.

On 9/8/2026 at 1:39 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Harassment. The victim wished to document several harassing comments made by a former employer. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 9/8/2026 at 1:24 pm, Ovidio Gonzalez-Barrera, 47, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Defiant Trespass after patrol responded to the rear of a North Ave business for a person who had returned after previously being trespassed. Additionally, Mr. Gonzalez-Barrera had a $500 arrest warrant out of Dunellen. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and then taken directly to the court. Ptlm. Andrew Mortensen investigated.

On 9/8/2026 at 1:10 am, Milton Franco-Alvarado, 48, of Martinsville was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Rd. On 9/7/2026 at 10:24 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft. The victim reported that an unknown person entered the unlocked vehicle overnight and removed $260 and several knives. Ptlm. Ahmon Hardy investigated.

On 9/6/2026 at 12:58 am, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft. The victim reported that a friend who had been staying at the apartment removed $3,000. Ptlm. Erik Ortiz investigated.

On 9/5/2026 at 8:47 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Counterfeit Currency. The victim reported that several days earlier she had sold an item to an unknown person on Facebook Marketplace and later realized that $100 of the $200 provided to her was in prop money. Ptlm. On 9/5/2026 at 12:42 am, Christopher Stanek, 40, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Lincoln Ave. Mr. Stanek was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released with a court appearance notice. On 9/3/2026 at 5:19 pm, Ovidio Gonzalez-Barrera, 47, of Dunellen, and Rocher Machonis, 65, of Bridgewater were both arrested after patrol was called to a group of intoxicated individuals trespassing on the 200 blk of North Ave. Mr. Machonis was charged with Defiant Trespass and released from the scene. Mr. Gonzalez-Barrera was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing, charged with Defiant Trespass and Disorderly Conduct. He was released with a court appearance notice after processing. Ptlm. On 9/3/2026 at 12:49 pm, patrol responded to Dunellen Auto Glass for the reported Harassment. Representatives of the business reported an ongoing pattern of harassing phone calls from a nearby resident. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.

On 9/1/2026 at 12:19 am, Richard Valentin, 63, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on West Fourth St in which he was found to have (3) warrants out of South Plainfield totaling $1,500.
