On 10/26/2025 at 11:16 pm, Leo Lam, 65, of Green Brook was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples after patrol observed Mr. Lam's disabled vehicle on North Washington Ave after having struck a telephone pole. Mr. Lam was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing where he refused to properly give breath samples. He was later released to a sober family member. Sgt. Keith Irons investigated.
On 10/26/2025 at 7:07 pm, Sameeka Jordan-Rivera, 30, of Piscataway was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on South Ave. Ms. Jordan-Rivera was found to have a warrant for her arrest out of Middlesex Borough in the amount of $1,500. She was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later turned over to Middlesex PD on their warrant. Ptlm. Michael Lowder investigated.
On 10/25/2025 at 1:37 am, Cristian Puente-Colina, 31, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Sgt. Keith Irons investigated.
On 10/24/2025 at 12:14 pm, patrol responded to the 100 blk of North Ave for the individual who had been assaulted with a knife. As a result of the following investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Jimmy Peters, 48, of North Plainfield. Mr. Peters was charged with Aggravated Assault, Disorderly Conduct, Harassment, Criminal Restraint, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Possession of Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. Mr. Peters is currently incarcerated in Union County on unrelated charges and will be processed and remanded to the Middlesex County Jail upon release. Ptlm. Andrew Mortensen investigated.
On 10/19/2025 at 5:33 pm, Stephen Thorpey, 42, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Mischief, Obstruction, Hindering, and Refusal to Submit Fingerprints after patrol responded to Avellino's for the report of a disorderly patrol throwing glass bottles and chairs at patrons and staff. Mr. Thorpey then fled the area on foot and was apprehended by patrol in Middlesex. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing where he was wholly uncooperative. Mr. Thorpey was then turned over to North Plainfield PD on a no-bail warrant out of their jurisdiction. Ptlm. Jeffrey Jones investigated.
On 10/19/2025 at 4:37 am, Jamyl Martinez-Flores, 24, of Bound Brook was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Rd. On 10/19/2025 at 2:42 am, Leslye Carillo-Sornoza, 28, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on the 300 blk of North Ave. Ms. Carillo-Sornoza was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. On 10/18/2025 at 2:41 am, Yuri Valencia-Remache, 42 of Paterson was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated after being observe by patrol asleep behind the wheel parked improperly on a sidewalk on the 300 blk of Walnut with an open alcoholic drink in plain view. Mr. Valencia-Remache was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. Erik Ortiz investigated.
On 10/16/2025 at 11:09 am, patrol responded to the 700 blk of Bound Brook Rd. for the reported Check Fraud. The victim reported that an unknown person had cashed a check meant for them in the amount of $1,066. This case was forwarded to the Detective Bureau. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.
On 10/14/2025 at 10:34 pm, Brazil Hill, 20, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, Criminal Mischief, and Resisting Arrest after patrol conducted a motor vehicle stop on the 600 blk of Bound Brook Rd. after Ms. Hill's was observed and known to have an $800 warrant out of Dunellen for her arrest. Ms. Hill's actions during the arrest for the warrant resulted in the above charges. She was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail. Ptlm. On 10/13/2025 at 4:02 pm, Jamaal Gilbert, 39, of Newark was arrested and charged with Shoplifting after taking $113 worth of candy from Family Dollar. Mr. Gilbert was located nearby with the stolen items. Additionally he was found to have warrants out of Woodbridge and Clifton totaling $4,000. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after receiving new court dates. Ptlm. Jeffrey Jones investigated.
On 10/13/2025 at 1:05 am, Javier Paredes, 27, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave. Mr. Paredes was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing where he refused to submit breath samples. Additionally he was issued a borough ordinance for his disorderly and disruptive behavior during processing. He was later released to a sober friend. Sgt. Keith Irons investigated.

On 10/10/2025 at 7:10 pm, Dylan Nunez-Chicaiza, 21, of South Plainfield was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension and Purchasing Alcohol for a Minor after patrol was called to a residence on the 400 blk of North Ave. During the investigation, Mr. Nunez-Chicaiza provided a fictitious identity to officers. On 10/4/2025 at 12:40 pm, patrol responded to the VFW on Prospect Ave for the reported Theft. Staff reported that a male had entered the unattended bar and removed (1) beer without paying. On 10/3/2025 at 1:26 pm, Marvin Douglas, 24, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Theft after being observed at the Library and recognized as having stolen a bicycle the day prior.
