On 1/25/2025 at 12:49 pm, patrol responded to the 200 blk of Oak Parkway for the reported Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed her unlocked vehicle, removing a pair of sunglasses and a phone charger valued at $50. Sgt. Christopher Lovell investigated.
On 1/25/2025 at 10:45 am, patrol received a walk-in report of Harassment. The victim wished to report several harassing social media messages. Ptlm. Jeffrey Jones investigated.
On 1/25/2025 at 1:03 am, Vaibhav Patel, 31, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop on Second St. Mr. Patel was brought to Middlesex and Dunellen PD's for processing where he refused to provide breath samples. On 1/23/2025 at 9:25 pm, Darwin Paez, 20, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court after being observed by patrol and known to have a warrant for his arrest out of Dunellen in the amount of $1,000. Mr. Paez was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after posting bail. Ptlm. Paul Condit and Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.
On 1/23/2025 at 8:35 am, patrol received a walk-in report of Fraud. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed their account and transferred to it a debt balance of $8,500. This case remains open. Ptlm. Saul Vargas investigated.
On 1/22/2025, Jose Escobar-Monzon, 63, of Plainfield was charged with Driving While Suspended for a 2nd DWI following investigation into a motor vehicle stop on 9/14/2024. Mr. Escobar-Monzon was mailed a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Gary Smith investigated.
On 1/22/2025 at 6:23 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft. The victim reported having been scammed out of $2,000 attempting to purchase a vehicle on Facebook. Ptlm. Saul Vargas investigated.
On 1/20/2025 at 2:35 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft. The victim reported ordering an Apple iPad mini valued at $500. Upon receiving the undamaged package, the iPad had been already removed. Ptlm. Jeffrey Jones investigated.
On 1/19/2025 at 11:52 pm, Delfino Ruiz-Santos, 31, was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension after patrol attempted to issue a citation for disorderly conduct and Mr. Ruiz-Santos refused to cooperate or identify himself. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing where he remained uncooperative. He was later released with a court appearance notice. Ptlm. Keith Irons and Ptlm. Paul Condit investigated.
On 1/19/2025 at 9:40 pm, Gustavo Camera, 59, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following police response to a motor vehicle crash on the 100 blk of North Washington Ave. Mr. Camera was brought to Green Brook and Dunellen PD's for processing and later released to a sober family member. On 1/19/2025 at 8:57 pm, patrol responded to the 200 blk of Gertrude Terrace for the reported assault which occurred amidst a fare dispute. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.
On 1/22/2025, Andrew Tucker, 56, of Parlin was charged with Driving While Suspended for 2nd DWI following investigation into a motor vehicle stop on 1/19/2025. Mr. Tucker was mailed a court notice. DSgt. Nicholas Goldman investigated.
On 1/18/2025 at 1:16 am, Mario Lara-Lopez, 26, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave. Mr. Lara-Lopez was brought to Green Brook and Dunellen PD's for processing and later released to a sober family member. On 1/17/2025 at 1:50 pm, patrol responded to Lehigh St. for the reported Harassment. The victim wished to report what they viewed as a harassing facebook post. Ptlm. Saul Vargas investigated.
On 1/15/2025 at 11:50 am, patrol responded to Lehigh St. for the reported Criminal Mischief. The victim reported that several of her vehicle's tires had been slashed. Ptlm. Saul Vargas investigated.
On 1/15/2025 at 3:00 pm, Edys Padilla-Arita, 38, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court after being observed by patrol and known to have a warrant for his arrest out of Metuchen in the amount of $1,000.. Mr. Padilla-Arita was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after posting bail. Det. Anthony Issler investigated.
On 1/15/2025 at 11:17 am, patrol responded to the 100 blk of Dunellen Ave for the reported Catalytic Converter Theft. The victim reported that sometime during the overnight hours the catalytic converter was stolen from their parked vehicle. Ptlm. Brian O'Neill investigated.

On 1/15/2025 at 5:50 am, patrol responded to the 400 blk of Second St. for the Catalytic Converter Theft. The victim reported that sometime during the overnight hours their catalytic converter was stolen. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.
On 1/15/2025 at 4:34 am, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Second St. for the in-progress Catalytic Converter Theft. A resident reported interrupting a group of males actively stealing a catalytic converter. They fled prior to police arrival. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.
On 1/12/2025 at 11:26 pm, David Laing, 57, of Watchung was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following the stop of a motorcycle on the 200 blk of Walnut St. Mr. Laing was brought to Middlesex and Dunellen PD's for processing where he refused to provide proper breath samples. On 1/7/2025 at 7:08 am, Justin Browne, 46, of West Trenton was arrested for Contempt of Court after patrol observed an audible fire alarm from Provident Bank on North Ave, found to have been caused by Mr. Browne smoking a cigarette inside of the vestibule. In addition to receiving a borough ordinance, Mr. Browne was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Allenhurst Borough in the amount of $777. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released after receiving a new court date. Sgt. Christopher Lovell investigated.
On 1/4/2025 at 10:52 pm, Dejanira Thompson, 30, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on Front St. in which Ms. Thompson was found to have a warrant for her arrest out of Middlesex Borough in the amount of $1,500. Ms. Thompson was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after posting bail. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.
On 1/4/2025 at 5:08 pm, patrol responded to the 500 blk of Dunellen Ave for the reported Burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim reported that the contents of his unlocked vehicles had been rummaged through sometime during the previous night, however nothing appeared to have been taken. Ptlm. Saul Vargas investigated.
On 1/3/2025 at 11:04 am, patrol responded to an apartment building on the 100 blk of South Washington Ave for the reported Harassment. Tenants alleged that another tenant was harassing them by repeatedly banging on doors. Ptlm. Saul Vargas investigated.
On 1/1/2025 at 6:50 pm, Jose Sosa-Gamez, 43, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following patrol response to a motor vehicle crash on the 200 blk of North Ave. Mr. Sosa-Gamez was brought to Green Brook and Dunellen PD's for processing and later released to a sober family member.
