On 8/28/2025 at 12:31 am, Tylik Askew, 37, of Elizabeth was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Refusal to Submit Breath Samples, Certain Persons Not to Possess Weapons, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon (Firearm), Distributing CDS (Crack Cocaine), and Possession of CDS (Crack Cocaine) Mr. Askew was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail. Rashmeen Casey, 42, of Plainfield, a passenger in the vehicle was additionally arrested and charged with Obstruction of Justice and Disorderly Conduct. She was also found to have a warrant for her arrest out of Middlesex Borough in the amount of $2,500. Ms. Casey was issued a court appearance notice and transported to the hospital for an evaluation. On 8/19/2025 at 1:20 pm, patrol responded to Zupko's Tavern on North Ave for the reported Theft of Services. Management reported that on 8/18/2025 an unknown white male had entered the establishment and consumed $107 worth of food and drink before leaving without paying. Ptlm. Paul Condit investigated.

On 8/13/2025 at 2:37 pm, Gbril Lewis, 26, of Irvington was arrested and charged with Defiant Trespass and Contempt of Court after patrol was called to the report of a previously trespassed individual at Family Dollar. Mr. Lewis was found to have been previously trespassed and additionally had a warrant for his arrest in the amount of $1,000 out of South Plainfield.
