On 2/28/2025 at 10:24 pm, Anthony Gaddy, 30, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on the 300 blk of North Ave. Mr. Gaddy was found to have warrants out of Mountainside and Union Twp. totaling $2,500. On 2/26/2025 at 3:40 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim reported that sometime during the previous night, their unlocked vehicle on the 400 blk of Mountainview Terrace had been ransacked and several items removed totaling $100. Ptlm. On 2/23/2025 at 10:37 pm, Jamal Ghanem, 33, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Ave. Mr. Ghanem was brought to Dunellen and Green Brook HQ's for processing where he refused to provide breath samples. On 2/23/2025 at 2:45 am, Katherine Dwyer, 48, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Walnut St. Ms. Dwyer was brought to Green Brook and Dunellen HQ's for processing and later released to a sober friend after receiving a court appearance notice. On 2/21/2025 at 2:14 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Theft by Deception. The victim reported having sent $490 to an unknown person as part of a Realtor Scam. Ptlm. Jeffrey Jones investigated.
On 2/20/2025 at 1:05 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Fraud. The victim reported several unauthorized ATM transactions. This case was forwarded to the Detective Bureau for follow-up. Ptlm. Kevin Condus investigated.
On 2/19/2025 at 3:19 pm, patrol responded to Dunellen Liquors on North Ave for the reported Bicycle Theft. The victim reported their e-bike had been stolen while parked outside of the store. Ptlm. Saul Vargas investigated.
On 2/19/2025 at 2:24 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Fraud. The victim reported several bank transactions which they did not authorize, totaling $3,600. Ptlm. Saul Vargas investigated.
On 2/17/2025 at 8:44 pm, Michael Gillon, 64, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court after patrol was dispatched to the 400 blk of North Ave for the report of a male walking down the middle of the road yelling at vehicles and causing a disturbance. Mr. Gillon was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Plainfield in the amount of $1,500. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. On 2/17/2025 at 3:44 pm, patrol responded to the 300 blk of Third St. for the reported Bicycle Theft. The victim reported that a juvenile friend of her son's was believed to have stolen a bicycle from the backyard. Ptlm. Brian O'Neill investigated.
On 2/16/2025 at 4:57 am, Victor Palomino, 76, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court following a vehicle check in the parking lot of the Dunellen Train Station. Mr. Palomino was found to have a warrant out of Dunellen in the amount of $750. He was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and released after receiving a new court date. DSgt. On 2/14/2025 at 3:32 am, patrol received a walk-in report of Fraud. The victim wished to report over $3,000 in fraudulent Verizon charges. Ptlm. Saul Vargas investigated.
On 2/13/2025 at 4:32 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Terroristic Threats. The victim reported having recently sold a telephone to someone in Newark and since having received several threatening messages from the person before blocking them. Ptlm. Brian O'Neill investigated.
On 2/13/2025 at 12:22 pm, patrol responded to Dunellen Liquors for the reported shoplifting. Staff reported that a Hispanic male, approximately 25 years old wearing a red shirt had stolen approximately $28 worth of alcohol and fled on foot towards Plainfield. This case was forwarded to the Detective Bureau. Ptlm. Brian O'Neill investigated.
On 2/13/2025, Morgan Lormejuste, 40, of Dunellen was charged with Possession of a High Capacity Firearms Magazine and Certain Persons Prohibited from Weapons Possession after the Dunellen Fire Department responded to a small fire in an apartment on the 700 blk of Bound Brook Rd. on 2/1/2025. The Fire Department observed the illegal weapon in plain view which was secured for safekeeping. Further investigation revealed that it was illegal and illegally possessed. Mr. Loremejuste was mailed a court appearance notice. Det. Anthony Issler investigated.
On 2/10/2025 at 2:40 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Fraud. The victim reported that he had sought out a former NJ Lottery winner online in an attempt to ask them for money. He then provided the unknown person with all of his financial details, which they then used to transfer $550 out of his account, rather than depositing money in as he had expected. Ptlm. On 2/4/2025 at 2:38 am, Paul Crittenden, 35, of Piscataway was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples following a motor vehicle stop. Mr. Crittenden was transported to Dunellen and Green Brook PD's for processing where he refused to provide breath samples. He was later released to a sober family member. Ptlm. On 2/1/2025 at 1:02 am, Mark Jones, 54, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Rd. On 2/1/2025 at 12:42 am, Hakeemah Smith, 37, of New Brunswick was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington.
