On 4/16/2025 at 9:30 am, John Miller, 52, of Middlesex was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute and Contempt of Court after a motor vehicle stop on the 600 blk of Bound Brook Rd. Mr. Miller was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Middlesex Borough in the amount of $1,000. He was also found to have approximately 56 baggies of marijuana (totaling 1.5 lbs) in a bag on his person. Mr. Miller was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing, posted bail and was released after receiving a court date. Ptlm. Marcin Nierodzik investigated.
On 4/15/2025 at 9:51 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim stated that their vehicle was burglarized on the 400 blk of Lincoln Ave. The victim stated a black batman style knife was taken. Ptlm. Andrew Mortensen investigated.
On 4/15/2025 at 6:26pm, patrol responded to the UPS Store for the report of a stolen package. The victim stated that they received a notification that their Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra was at the store for pick-up. The victim stated that when they went to retrieve it, the staff advised it had already been picked up. Ptlm. Jeffrey Jones investigated.
On 4/15/2025 at 4:40pm, patrol responded to the 400 blk of Second St for the report of a suspicious person. The victim stated that an unknown individual had tried to make entry to multiple vehicles in their driveway between 1:00 am and 4:00 am the night before. The victim stated that one of the vehicles was left unlocked and that a pair of sunglasses and AirPods were taken. Ptlm. Jeffrey Jones investigated.
On 4/15/2025 at 2:51 pm, Sergio Ulacia Jr., 30, of Kendall Park was arrested and charged with Simple Assault, Trespassing, Disorderly Conduct and Harassment after patrol responded to Jackie’s Sweets on North Ave for an Unwanted Person. Mr. Ulacia was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and was released after receiving a new court date. Ptlm. Paul Condit investigated.
On 4/15/2025 at 2:51 am, patrol responded to the 600 blk of Second St for the report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim stated that they found one of the vehicle’s doors open after it was left unlocked. The victim stated nothing was taken but wished to have the incident documented. Ptlm. On 4/14/2025 at 8:12 pm, patrol received a walk-in report of Fraud. The victim stated that they received a phone call from an unknown individual(s) pretending to be from their bank. The victim stated that $7,500 had been deposited into his account but was later removed. The victim confirmed that no financial loss occurred but wanted to document the incident. Ptlm. On 4/14/2025 at 6:08 am, patrol responded to a theft on the 100 blk of Front St. Victim stated the wheels and tires of their vehicle were taken while it was parked in their driveway. The victim said that he attempted to confront the suspect but they brandished a metal pole which appeared to be part of a car jack and fled in another vehicle. The victim stated the wheels and tires totaled $800. Ptlm. Gary Smith investigated.
On 4/9/2025 at 2:29 am, Esther Diaz-Cox, 35, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on North Ave at the Plainfield border. Ms. Diaz-Cox was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober friend. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.
On 4/8/2025 at 9:32 pm, patrol responded to Eight on the Break for the report of a fight. The victims stated that two individuals were harassing another individual that was playing a video game right before they were both assaulted. The suspects fled prior to police arrival. After reviewing footage, it was determined the suspects also stole numerous stuffed animals from a game machine. This investigation is still ongoing. Ptlm. Keith Irons investigated.
On 4/8/2025 at 12:47pm, patrol responded to an address on the 100 blk of South Washington Ave for the report of a burglary. The victim stated that they found their storage unit rummaged through and that they were missing numerous valuable sports memorabilia totaling approximately $41,000. Ptlm. Saul Vargas investigated.
On 4/7/2025 at 9:24 am, Jajuan Franklin, 28, of Plainfield was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave at the Green Brook border. Mr. Franklin was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of North Plainfield in the amount of $1,000, and a warrant out of Trenton in the amount of $275. On 4/6/2025 at 3:55 am, Rudy Chavez, 45, of North Plainfield was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on the 200 blk of Dunellen Ave. Mr. Chavez was brought to Dunellen HQ for processing and later released to a sober family member. On 4/3/2025 at 6:33 pm, Bianka Labrador, 25, of Dunellen was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop at Dunellen Ave and Lincoln Ave. Ms. Labrador was found to warrant for her arrest out of Dunellen in the amount of $1,000.
